- This was my first time in Pakistan and we went on a 3 week trip travelling through the spectacular mountains of the Gilgit-Baltistan region.
We were travelling as part of a bespoke tour I hosted with Intrepid Travel.
In this first episode we touch down in Islamabad and then making the 2 day journey driving up into the mountains, eventually arriving at the beautiful village of Tarishing.
From here we trek to the the base camp of Nanga Parbat, the 9th highest mountain in the world.

It's really a wonderful and beautiful place to visit
As a Pakistani I don't like it, I don't want tourists in my country. They can go to Mexico or Arab lands, or North Africa, actually Dubai is literally built for tourists like these guys. Pakistan is not built for tourists. Its a simple country. Besides Pakistan has a lot of scumbags, where as Dubai and UAE doesn't. And is kept clean and maintained by security.

I knew Pakistan is beautiful but didn't realize HOW beautiful. Good to learn of Intrepid, I've been too nervous to go alone.
You shouldn't worry at all. Many female tourist have travelled alone but if you can find a group for your first time thatwill be better. Perhaps your second trip you can go solo once you have more confidence :). Pakistan is extremely safe and people are very friendly, it's polar opposite to what you hear in the propaganda based media

I have to say, as a part Pakistani/Scandinavian woman, who hasn't visited Pakistan for many years now, this video made me want to head back there asap.
Some of my best days in life, were spent right there! I l❤Pakistan.
I felt the tears filling my eyes & my heart swelled with pride while watching this awesome video.
Pakistan is truly stunning & I'm so happy, that the world gets to see the beauty & majesty of Pakistan via such videos.
Of course the absolute highlights of any Pakistan road trip.....The unbelievable peoples & yes, the scenery & witnessing some of the world's tallest mountains.
The Pakistani peoples have been through so much lately, with the floods that have hit them hard in specific regions, so with this being said, I send my love & best wishes to all in Pakistan.

That is because of the Himalayas. They are high and mighty. The surrounding landscape looks majestic weather they pass through India, Nepal, Bhutan or Pakistan. Swiss Alps are great but Himalayas are something else.
