I think the idea with the map is that it's an ancient map showing the way to another galaxy - they know Thrawn is there - Elsbeth seems to be in communication with him somehow - but it wasn't a map specifically drawn "to Thrawn".

As you move on you'll find that Ahsoka has been dealing with trauma, etc. She ends up with a fairly dramatic arc in the end (without giving anything too much away) - although Sabine probably has the bigger arc. It's a cracking story.

The scene with Sabine at the mural isn't her repeating what she did at the end of rebels. the end of rebels is the scene we just watched. (you can tell because that mural was being presented for the first time for the celebreation that sabine decided to skip out on in episode 1. until that point that mural was likely stuck on a cave wall somewhere in southern lothal.
the scene with sabine at the tower watching ahsoka's ship decend at the beginning of the epilogue was also transitioned into live action in episode 1 when she arrived on lothal to speak with sabine.

Be patient. Ahsoka's story does in deed have an arc.

The first time I watched this episode instantly when that mural scene started I just heard "But one day I realised there was more to it. There was something else I was meant to do. Ezra's out there somewhere and it's time to bring him home" in my head.

Ahsoka became a master. Watch any old samurai movie - old masters are wise, not reckless, usually so powerfull that they end the fight faster than blink of the eye (remember Obi-Wan vs. Maul on Tatooine?). She is no longer the same hothead as she was in CW. And also what happened in Rebels changed her - fight with Vader, defeat on Malachore. Probably more during the time of rebellion as she disappeared. Sabine is old by age, but not by recklessness, anger, etc. I think that is why Jedi chose padawans so young, before they could learn bad habits.
Continue watching, everything will be explained later.

Whether she likes it or not, whether the Jedi Council likes it or not... she is the Last True Jedi... more than Luke and Grogu... She was fully trained since she was a toddler and proved herself in war. She Lives True to the Force She is a True Jedi, of old. Even better than some Jedi from the High Republic as we are learning in the Acolyte... Not to mention, she was the only one Trained by the chosen one. at his peak. I can't wait to watch your reactions for the rest of the episodes!

Hey Neil, I didn't realise you came back from your long break. Did you ever finish watching Avatar? I was watching your entire reaction series from the start, and was sad when I seen you leave right before the finale. It's one of the best TV finales of all time so I hope you get back into it if you didn't already watch it in your own time.

comparing ahsoka from teh clone wars who was 14-17 pre order 66 with the current post order 66 Ahsoka who is 45 is comparing apples to watermelons. so much time and events have gone by that you may as well be comparing two very different people. just having head to deal with order 66 is enough to have sent the characters in radically different directions. a far better comparison is to the 35 year old ahsoka tano fulcrum from rebels.
though i find it it interesting that you think that Ahsoka is lacking flaws. in my opinion this version of Ahsoka is the most flawed we have seen her since season 1 & 2 of clone wars. she had gotten harder, cynical, and while she does *redacted* she seems intent on trying to be this ultra stoic person that we see in this and the mandalorian. all of which presumably stems from her trying to distance herself from Anakin and who she was under him. (the twilight of the apprentice arc really seems to have taken a toll on her. she used to be much more light hearted before that)

The map is ancient and created by the witches. It doesn't show the way to Thrawn specifically, it's a map of Purrgil travel routes.

Not if you have only seen the Rebels finale. Thrawn got abducted by Purgill. A Purgill map leads to his current location.

Speed your replay by 1.4x and the battles look a lot better. They should have done that selectively in the filming.

The map is weird. It’s just like the map to Luke in Force Awakens. Why is that something that exists?
I disagree that Ahsoka doesn’t have flaws. I do think the way she’s written at this point as a more traditional stoic Jedi (which really isn’t Ahsoka) certainly paints her that way. I don’t want to say anything I shouldn’t but I think Ahsoka’s character writing gets drastically better.

    • @rdkirk3834
      @rdkirk3834 6 месяцев назад

Absolutely true that we're not seeing Ahsoka as represented before. We're seeing Ahsoka being played as the "wizened monk," which she never was. She's never been like Yoda, she's always been more like Anakin. But I disagree that it gets any better.

I really hope he does. Most of the negative reviews are from the stupid bandwagon haters who just hate *anything* no matter how good it is. They go in already hating. The Acolyte has done nothing to break the lore, but these people love lying to themselves and having unintelligent arguments. There are some fair criticisms of the show, like any show, because nothing is perfect. But 99% of The Acolyte reviews are pure ignorance and hate from the kind of people who give death threats to those who disagree with them. I hope these people don't dissuade any actual fans from giving the show a chance.

@@ShizuruNakatsu Yes, I just feel sorry for those that don't are pure ignorant but still dislike the show, they sort of gets grouped together with the ignorant ones, since they are so loud. I don't like every show out there, I don't even like everything that is star wars. But I do like the Acolyte and hope Neil at least takes a look in it. I would never go to someone else watching a thing I don't like and start screaming about that if you don't hate it yourself, you are an idiot. We all have different taste.
