I liked it. It was slow but it was all setting up stuff. I liked how Mae switched because she's going through a paradigm shift. And the last scene with the Sith descending was legitimately scary.
I'm glad they made the Acolyte, for the sole reason that I get to watch Obi and Qui react to it.

Here's my theory on why Mundi is in the show now: This show was set 100 years before TPM and we all know the famous line of Mundi in that movie: "the sith hasn't been seen for a millenium" or something like that. But maybe Headland wants to subvert everyone's expectations by having a sith roam a few years before TPM. And she probably thinks it's cool to have the SAME EXACT character who said the Sith hasn't been around for a millennium be around now in the show (Probably to add animosity against the Jedi as being dishonest). But the problem is, she didn't bother to research that MUNDI was born in 93 BBY. The Acolyte was supposed to take place at 132 BBY, meaning he wasn't even born yet! Lol

How did they spend over a 100 million dollars and the costumes look worse than 2nd tier cosplay, the embezzlement is strong in this one.
The makeup is really variable, and the CGI is often embarrassing, but it's the Stand Around Awkwardly And Make Weird Faces thing that suggests Ren Faire production to me.

So much of the money has to be the marketing side. Being cheap with a show that has a large brand like Star Wars is fine as long as you can market to companies that the advertisement and partnerships will pay off.

I think it's an interesting to keep the narrative about how blind and arrogant the Jedi were becoming. Even if the show is uneven.
I never got used to how real your Ewan McGregor looks, acts and sounds. With a great impressionist it's almost impossible to notice what's real anymore.
