Charlie Hopkinson is a comedic impressionist, impersonator, voice guy, whatever you want to call it who specialises in voices from current television shows and films. His standup is a character act about a retired maths teacher, his standup set includes impressions of Sir David Attenborough, Robin Williams, Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson, Peaky Blinders, Tommy and Arthur Shelby and Gandalf from Lord of the Rings.
Always looking to update my roster I look to try out subscriber suggested impressions in the impressions challenge series before honing the best ones. Recently I have added Peaky Blinders and Marvel / Avengers characters to my arsenal!

I started learning impressions in 2012, at the age of 20. You can follow my full impressions journey in my new ‘How to do impressions’ tutorial series
After graduating from the University of Warwick in the summer 2013 he took 4 months out to concentrate on RUclips videos full time, including producing his most viewed video to date ‘Morgan Freeman and 40 other impressions’ with just over 12 million views. This foray into being a ‘full time RUclipsr’ was cut short as he went travelling for 3 months before starting a 2 year teaching Graduate scheme with Charity ‘Teach First’.
While teaching he has performed in and narrated the 4 episode series ‘Lookalikes’ as Morgan Freeman. The show and the narration received a positive reception. The show aired on Channel 4 during the prime time slot of Friday 10pm for three weeks. It is now currently available on Netflix. Charlie also performed with other well known impressionists for an unaired pilot.
Charlie has worked for several prominent brands in relation to their products, including google and formula 1.
Since the summer of 2016 Charlie has once again dived into the world of RUclips, for the first time producing content on a weekly basis. He is also focusing on live performance; he has performed in live venues a total of 3 times to date.

@@mandowarrior123 There was a time that Dooku was thought to be the chosen one so much so that Yoda took him on as his apprentice and Yoda hadn't had an apprentice in a long time, it actually caused drama in the order as some Jedi believed that a grandmaster shouldn't be taking a Padawan.

@@kittydaddy2023 In the Jedi's own arrogance, they believed that the dark side is a corruption of the force, which is why they thought that to give it balance they had to eradicate the Sith. It seems very poetic to me that the prophecy they believed in was what ended up destroying them.

Obi-Wan, why do you think you keep getting impossible solo missions? Darth Sidious (who is controlling the Senate according to Dooku) wants you dead. He's scared of you because you killed his first apprentice, and you're one of the 2 people left to prevent Anakin from falling since he got Ashoka expelled from the Jedi Order

I honestly think the Charlie is a pioneer in a whole new genre of entertainment this is something that has not been done deep faking with great impressions. Reactions to classic movies it’s something we didn’t even know we wanted great job. When do we get the other three parts to this can’t wait.

You know, even though it sounds unbalanced, that was always George's vision. In the first 6 movies, the "light side" is never mentioned. It's only ever "the force."

Yeah, Lucas's concept was always that what we call the light side is the *real* Force, while the dark side is corruption of the Force.
Very true. "Balance" in Star Wars is more like spiritual balance or harmony, not literal 'equal in number' balance. The Force is in balance (harmony) without the corrupting influence of the Dark Side twisting it in an unnatural way.
Don't worry Obi-wan, no one blames Qui-gon. They blame you.
This channel deserves more than just a like. The creativity, humor, and perfect use of video cuts, just brilliant. This doesn't just make me lol, (in a world we live in now, that's very much needed) but it makes me reflect on the character building that took place and it seems so genuine like they would actually say these things if they were watching this. Its just so good.

That business on Cato Nemoidia varies depending on which website you want to believe.
One website says Obi wan was on trial and when he tried to escape, Anakin rushes in and saves the day, ruining Obi wan’s escape plan in the process.
Another website says Obi wan was affected by some spores that basically made him drunk. Then, after Obi wan somehow manages to fend off a large number of battle droids despite being drunk, Anakin brings him one of those breathing devices Qui-gon and Obi wan used when they were underwater. The device nullifies the spores’ effects, and Obi wan is back to normal, only slightly embarrassed at how he may have acted while under their effects.
Believe whichever version you want, but my personal favorite is the latter option, just because it’s hilarious to think of Obi wan acting drunk. It makes you wonder what would have happened if he hadn’t turned down those death sticks.
The second one was btw made into an german audio play that leads up to the beginning of Episode 3, so ist canon to me 😂
And then Anakin did a backflip, broke the droids' necks and saved the day!

The incest babies had me rolling. Also what Anakin starts saying about Cato Nemodia is dangerously close to what happened shortly after Cato Nemodia on Naos III, where Obi and Anakin go on a pub crawl and then have to fight while drunk.

Also if you haven't already it the Thrawn trilogy is the best piece of Star Wars writing ever! Timothy Zahn is the goat.

Charlie, I know people must tell you all time, but the fact that you can so completely alter your voice to the point that if I didn't know the truth I honestly would think it's three different people doing the voices for Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Qui-Gonn is utterly amazing. Add to it each impersonation is a A+ 10 and it's just incredible. Never stop doing this series!
I first thought it was, then that it was the sale actor but with AI assistance for voices then learned hé was impersonating voices for a living and undestood how good that was.
