Doesnt mean it's functioning isn't the same. The sounds in this video sounds more like short meows to me but so do the chirps of house cats too so.. chirps are just short meows? Anyways, your anecdotal evidence doesn't trumf over whats said by wildlife experts who confirm that caracals do infact meow.
