I sincerely hope those prosecutors were disbarred and the folks running the daycare were compensated. I mean, a 7 year trial, 5 years of which the accused had to spend in prison for a crime they weren't even convicted of because the prosecution coerced a few kids into repeating the talking points of a literal schizo is absolutely fucking insane.
As a child of the year 2000 but having significantly older brothers in a devout Christian home, I remember the vestiges of Satanic Panic. I couldn't play Pokemon until I was 10 because it translated to "pocket monsters", but YuGiOh was okay!

@@ThePyschicBuzz You were expecting there to be logic behind a moral panic, this was your first mistake, as moral panics serve primarily as a vehicle to distract from efforts at power centralization. At that time, the primary goal was to remove power from public education, unions, alternative lifestyle communes, and free social clubs in order to centralize it under the wealthy and the state. By starting a witch hunt in which 'Satanists' are coincidentally all of these groups, one can do violence and tyrannies to them that the public's ability to reason would ordinarily prevent.
Man, it's a good thing I'm not the God-Emperor of Mankind, or else the prosecution would be serving quite a long time in prison, and all the police officers who were in the department for this nonsense would have to pay restitution to those children in the amount of "literally all your money after you buy rice and beans forever" This isn't a new opinion, but hearing it told like this, especially with so much emphasis on how it started, is just... How did they manage to recreate the Salem witch trials so accurately?

Insanity, stupidity, and faith are beat friends
This type of attornal malpractice should be a felony.

This level of attornal malpractice really needs to be a felony
They got to keep practicing and went on to prosecute OJ, so yeah, "consequences" is not something they had to deal with.
Lol you should never actually look into our legal system, you'd probably have an aneurysm

My cousins were not allowed to celebrate Halloween until the latd 2000s or read Harry Potter for similar reasons.
