No doubt they are great cars. You can see one of these in about every car show you go to though. You can’t even watch one of the Mecum auto auctions without seeing one of these somewhere in it.
AGP would be proud to own this one aswell. So sad that he's now gone to the other side of the clouds. You know, in honour of AGP i might buy one of these
Beautiful American classic!! A guy who owns a Toyota dealer near me has a 57 Bel Air in his show room. It was flawlessly restored and had a color combination similar to this, 2 speed powerglide trans and the 283 V8. Absolutely stunning car but it wasn't for sale. =( It was nice to see someone who appreciates these old cars. I'd be interested to find one of these for myself one day!! Great review Kyle!
on OLX i found also a 1955-1956 model. it costs around 2 million pesos. i guess it is fully restored. this car is just beautiful . the most beautiful car i've seened.
I love how simple and elegant the cars were back in the 50's. Don't get me wrong... I like the techy stuff in the new cars but it's nice to see back to a simple Time (Kinda)
This is not original paint I restored this car in 1996 took it all apart media blastered it painted it apart and put it all back together with new interior .sold ot to a guy from north Carolina. OH and it has a 2 inch long burn on driver rear floor 😢😢
This brings back youthful and good memories as i had the exact same car, with the exception of mine being a 2 door post. I owned mine from 1963 to 1967 (age 17 to 21).
There is a company in Indiana that got permission from GM to build new 55,56,and 57s they are considered kit cars but they are gorgeous! Starting cost is $75.000
I'd love to own one of these, every time i see one at a car show i fall in love. my favorite was this black and white one with black leather interior... yum. :D I would love to own one of these some day
Fantastic! love the 50s love cars makes 50s cars a double love! Ed Cole and Harley Earl made this car udderly perfect! keep the great vids a comin.~Marty
@thebradybunchlover It's isn't very expensive to buy an old classic but the expensive part is when you have to keep one running and looking good bro. I'd love to own one of these one day for a cruiser.
Anybody remember the vacuum-operated wipers on these cars ? They slowed to a friggin` *crawl* whenever you stepped on the gas, making driving in the rain a real adventure.... Sounds like the heads have never been off that block since 1955.... :-)
Nice classic car back when a chevy was a Chevy!!!!! And notice how the car is at a sonic drive in lol it's the perfect theme!!!!!!! 50"s car + 50"s drive in= A video #WIN
I love that car! It's my favorite, memorable, automobile! I've always wanted to drive 1, and play it's stereo LOUD! And show off! (Screeching tyres, and loudly revving!) I'm in to it. Sorry, for being dramatic. 😎
RANT BELOW! American car manufacturing priorities went from good looks, the love of the ride, and 'No replacement for displacement' to... MPG's and safety and mass manufacturing, and weight reducing as much as possible. Plastic side panels? No more rust, I suppose... Safety bumpers? There goes the chrome... Air bags (while rather useful) took away the design on the steering wheel... Come on, the real cars are the ones that have this charm about them, the ones that bring you back to that time period. Nobody will see a Camry or Civic in 20 years and think it for that much of a car. Or a Taurus or Avenger, for that matter. Cars today have no personality or charm. Just my two cents...
Joe Moorman Now I know you're not being serious that you said "GM is having the best sales". Funny how they've recalled more cars more than they sold because they're too incompetent to go back to a 20 year old ignition switch design that was perfect, and people are dumb enough to keep buying them. But not only that, GM has been having a lot more issues than just the ignition, it's their whole modern day design. Chrysler and Ford seemed to pull their heads out of their ass, and GM hasn't. Modern day American cars now are just 100% plastic, overloaded with electronics and have some really dumb engineering (not as horrible as BMW's engineering flaws ;) ) I'd take a durable, full metal 60's/70's sports car over a modern day 2014 plastic, 200hp FWD "super sports" car. In the event of a collision, you're not going to die.
I agree aswell, whilst modern cars have improved dramatically in passenger safety and controllability with the likes of ABS and traction control, modern cars (with a very few exceptions because remember there's always exceptions to everything), have hee-haw character to them, you only need to look at the color-keyed dash and interior aswell as the aluminium work on the dash, so intricate, the way the car's sculpted with it's roofline, and that was before we had CAD or robotic panel presses and precision tools, and yet they were able to do some very inventive and amazing stuff, the Hydraulic electric windows always amazed me how that worked, modern cars have went all that grey plastic way, too much focus on MPG and electronic gadgets and not enough on actually driving the car.
@827rover ..there were no V6s' back then, only straight 6s, besides the taillight emblems show a V which indicates its a V8 & the steering wheel hub also has the V symbol indicating it's a V8.. your right about the coolant tho, there's a leak somewhere..
i love the trifives best cars GM ever made when they put quality ahead of profits one thing though its hard to know if thats original miles because unless its documented you cant really tell those counter only went to 100,000 then they went back to 0 but ill take it anyways looks beautiful
That is thee chevrolet v8. And coupled with the classic 2speed powerglide = :-) Such a nice ride. And for the time its from, those power figures arent by any means bad.
1:40 is that the normal way those early automatic transmissions used to engage gears? or those thuds indicate it may need servicing? just wondering x) ...
Wowzers such a beautiful car that car is gorgeous man I would love to own that car I would buy that car for my father that's his childhood car except I would put a LS engine in it and a digital dash but keep all the original stuff I would ride around with a leather jacket bumping oldies for all those people who spend $78,000 on BMWs and Mercedes have no brains I would rather buy these classic beauties
Mason Fox because it was the norm at the time, that and it allowed people to sleep in their car, or have a date to ‘very’ successfully amongst the young teens and young adults
Hands down the most beautiful car in the world.
I totally agree this is my dream car
+Nick The Fox yes it costs 2 million pesos. i think it is fully restored.
American automakers were at their prime these days!!! never see a beautiful classic like this
@@Whatruacop97 Same
I don't think so.
Best year of the Bel Air, no doubt.
I agree
I'd say '57 is the best year for it
I'd say 1957 was the best year, but still a beautiful car nonetheless
I think 55,56,57 was the best year
I have a 56 its amazing
It isn't my favorite car, but I have to admit it's one of the best looking cars ever
'55, '56. and '57 chevy's ... some of the greatest American cars ever
No doubt they are great cars. You can see one of these in about every car show you go to though. You can’t even watch one of the Mecum auto auctions without seeing one of these somewhere in it.
That's not just a car. It's a piece of art.
Took me 2yrs to redo this car in 1996
This makes me miss Angry Grandpa.
Rest In Peace AGP
AGP would be proud to own this one aswell. So sad that he's now gone to the other side of the clouds. You know, in honour of AGP i might buy one of these
Alex Hickey I’ve always wanted a 55, now I want one even more
We all know that agp is in a much better place now 😇
i guess I'm kinda randomly asking but does anybody know a good place to stream newly released movies online ?
@Tate Emmett i would suggest FlixZone. You can find it on google =)

Look at the fit on the doors 55 years later, man these cars were very well made.
These things are the coolest Chevorlets ever! (Yes cooler than a Corvette!)
Nothing beats American Classics😍
Love those Chevy's!
Epic Horn ahaha
The ornament on that car is just amazing, is art.
Still one of the most beautiful cars EVER!!!! I want one SO freaking bad!
on OLX i found also a 1955-1956 model. it costs around 2 million pesos. i guess it is fully restored.
this car is just beautiful . the most beautiful car i've seened.

What a beautiful car, it's aged well!
The new generation don't understand how beautiful and how better are the cars from the 50s
1:30 that horn sounds like an old school bus
Beautiful classic. Horn sounds awesome
No power brakes, drums, no seatbelts, no airbags, no headrests. Lovely.
Like most cars of that era...
Lokstock220 I know, lovely because no one cared back then.
People also just drove safer back then
Amazing how good it looks after so many years.

Chevy still makes awesome cars soooooooooooooooo
@denny1527 Yep 1981 is when they stop making the Bel Air
I'd love to own one of these, every time i see one at a car show i fall in love. my favorite was this black and white one with black leather interior... yum. :D I would love to own one of these some day
Works of art, cars got ugly in the late 70's/80's plastic industry took over and eco crap
What about today's cars- they all look so angry now.😯
JRT except the beetle.
Agreed
Bumble bee will remember that
I like these cars more!! Wonderful job bro.
Terrific job Kyle! Those are rare especially in Cuba 🇨🇺 they have tons of them.
I think the chevy emblem being on the dash like that is cool as hell.
that car has ATTITUDE!! something that modern cars are completely out of...
gotta love the little chevrolet emblems all over the dashboard.
If only cars nowadays were styled like this
Fantastic! love the 50s love cars makes 50s cars a double love! Ed Cole and Harley Earl made this car udderly perfect! keep the great vids a comin.~Marty
Bel air is my favorite American classic from the 50s
Wow nice it's a 4 door, I sense alot of awesomeness!
By far the best family car ever made by chevrolet.
Nice Review as always,,,,,American dream machine of yesteryears,,A piece of art,,
Love these Bel Airs, but also love my 66 Bel Air 2-door post big block.
1:30 I wish that horn was in every modern cars.
@thebradybunchlover It's isn't very expensive to buy an old classic but the expensive part is when you have to keep one running and looking good bro. I'd love to own one of these one day for a cruiser.
64k original miles on this beauty... amazing... what a gem.
This is angry grandpa's dream car, we miss you angry grandpa. I'm sad u died. Rest in peace to agp from 1950-2017
Anybody remember the vacuum-operated wipers on these cars ? They slowed to a friggin` *crawl* whenever you stepped on the gas, making driving in the rain a real adventure....
Sounds like the heads have never been off that block since 1955.... :-)
The Bel Airs were one of the coolest cars during the mid-20th century. They were all quite detailed. ^_^
Good lord! Its the car my grandfather drove when he was young!
Nice classic car back when a chevy was a Chevy!!!!! And notice how the car is at a sonic drive in lol it's the perfect theme!!!!!!! 50"s car + 50"s drive in= A video #WIN

Round mirrors - very nostalgic!!! Awesome
Very original. Even oil bath air filter. Note the PS on the generator, tiny one line master brake cylinder. Not sure wire wheels are the best choice.

Dustin Shilt Yeah man, America lost one of its defining features when emission and safety regulations came into place...
Joe Moorman
That would imply Front-wheel drive is a good thing.
Joe Moorman

I can believe that GM replace this for the Impala

I'd take it to university every day, meanwhile everyone else is driving Camry's and accord's. That would be sick af.
Back when cars were actually cars.
That's my favorite car! Salvador Bahia Brazil.
these cars are just beautiful!
Any chance you have the Vin# off this car? It was my dads and I’m trying to track it down…

1:40 is that the normal way those early automatic transmissions used to engage gears? or those thuds indicate it may need servicing? just wondering x) ...

Mason Fox because it was the norm at the time, that and it allowed people to sleep in their car, or have a date to ‘very’ successfully amongst the young teens and young adults
VERY NICE CAR!
