  • I've just received my Keychron K3 in the mail a few days ago, and I've been using for bit, so now I'm here to deliver my unboxing video and thoughts in this very visual review.

    I chose the optical brown switch with RGB lights. This hot-swappable low profile keyboard also connects via wireless bluetooth or USB C cable. I found this to be a nice balance of tactile feel and sound. Although other's have mentioned that it's not quite as sturdy as previous models, I found the slim profile, the hairline bevel to be much more enjoyable for my tastes. I will show you the type sounds, the RGB lights, the build, keyboard button functions, latency and slim profile. Seeing as I am not an avid gamer or coder, but love mechanical keyboards is perfect for my style and feel. Hope you enjoy the video.

    Your channel is great. You use a lot of sound to enhance your videos. But I wonder if you're aware of the amount of vocal fry in your dialog. Subbed.

      I will keep that in mind. Let me know if you notice it in the more recent videos?

    Great video! What kind of usb-c cable do you use? Really like the color matching with the keyboard.

      Thanks. The USB-C comes with the keyboard. I have a short video where I coiled it up on my channel

    You have to admit that while the feel is great and it offers its own unique xp, the thock here is just non-existing and the backlight is eh gimmicky. I had to go with the nuphy air to get the full mech xp but on the side; I do enjoy hopping back on the k3 from time to time.

    Subbed! Are the spacing *between* keys more cramped compared to a full size 104keys layout? I don't mind the missing keys, but my hands start to hurt if the spacing between keys are reduced as well.

      I do not believe so. It looks like they use standard spacing between the keys.

    Can you review Lofree Flow Phantom switches?

    How's the sensitivity on your keys, do you have the same issue as the other brown keys?

    • @DNChromatic
      @DNChromatic  3 года назад

      Yes it is quite sensitive. I think the optical switches even more so as they are going for the ultra low latency gamers.

      If you have a time, try this mod. It seems like it's a design flaw. For me, this helped tremendously. ruclips.net/video/s008uLbyg3s/видео.html

    How loud is the Brown Switch compared to the Red ?

    • @DNChromatic
      @DNChromatic  3 года назад +1

      I’ve never tried the Keychron red, but from the RK I’ve had before, loudness was not a big difference to the ear, maybe a few db higher. The tactile feel was more pronounced with the Brown.

    Would get it if it had a num pad !

    • @DNChromatic
      @DNChromatic  3 года назад

      Then the K4 would be the one for you. I always use a bluetooth number pad when needed. ✌🏼

      Or the OG, the K1 if you like the slim profile.

    Doest it have white backlight too like non RGB one?

    • @DNChromatic
      @DNChromatic  3 года назад +2

      There seems to be, but it has a pinkish hue. RGB LEDs like these ones cannot produce pure proper white.

    Can RGB do white?

    • @DNChromatic
      @DNChromatic  3 года назад +1

      It does have a white, but there is a slight pink hue to it
