Honestly, with the brief being a celebration of wheat...I thought that Jamie's would have been the winner given the fact it used wheat in so many different ways. James used wheat, yes, but did he really celebrate it?
Seriously? Two main elements of the dish were mostly flour, the sauce was flavored with wheat beer which is a very distinctive flavor because of wheat.
Jamie's use of wheat - sauce, pastry, potatoes. James' use of wheat - cake, bread, sauce. Maybe Jamie used more different forms of it but I think that with James' dish consisted of a higher proportion. They both celebrated it in a different way, neither less than the other.

This is not just entertaining but educational. Amazing way to do an ad! Only in sorted
Jamie was 100% my winner this go around! That looked spectacular and I bet it tasted delightful.
Absolutely loved this episode boys, it's so great to get to learn more about the world of food through such an entertaining vehicle
Gosh I've never been this early!
I really enjoyed the beginning of this video where the boys talked to the producers! I work in the field of agriculture and grow corn and soybeans, so it was neat to learn more about what!
It's okay Jamie, you were the real winner in my heart. 😂
I know people like to give Jaime a hard time about being predictable with cooking steak and whatnot, but when the theme is wheat and James is known for being an expert baker, Jaime really needs to play to his strengths if he wants a chance to win.
Also, good job boys! That is one of the tastiest looking results I've seen! I just ate lunch and you've made me hungry again...
Ah do you still remember the time BASF had to move their Gentech Apartment to the US because they did some shady stuff?
Loving the support for farming 👍 So important to understand where food comes from. Keep up the cracking work.
"Yup, that was terrible pastry." - Chef Ben, 2020
Loved this! Learning where ingredients come from is SO important. I planted my own vegetable garden during quarantine and I cannot stress enough how much more appreciative I am with my ingredients when I go to the grocery store. Guys, growing vegetables is hard! Thanks Sortedfood!
JAMIE! I think he rocked that dish outta the park and totally won that!
