We only here for Ragnar fam
*When you just want to be a farmer but everyone around you is forcing you to be a king*
Hate it when that happens
Must be tough
Jon Snow effect.
You made me laugh
@Prince of 1000 Enemies welp it’s ruined now hahahaha
Appear weak when you are strong and strong when you are weak, Ragnar really mastered the Art of War.
Aaron Dancil what was wrong with his health again? He was drug addicted in season 4 right ? Not 3 i forgot hahaha
Brandon Gamez he was carrying an endless wound suffering from a spear when he fought in England. Also he fall of a wall during the siege. His kidneys must have been damaged alongs his intestins and he has broken ribs
@@brandongamez1 poisoned, injured (fell from the top of the paris wall)
@@siam9914 poisoned injured crushed, etc etc. But he was still strong, even if he appeared deathly weak
This made me think immediately of when he raided Paris..
While Ragnar was yelling Lagerthas panties became a lake.
lool yes
:))))
Mine too.. and I'm a guy.. and hetero.
Kasumi Ninja same here LOL
Kasumi Ninja sure?
I love how Bjorn looks at him with such respect. You can see it after Ragnars speech.
You can see that he didn't point at Bjorn, when saying "NOT YOU!! NOT YOU!!". Already preparing him to rule, after his death at the end of the season. Showing him, that he trusts and respects him, and his decisions.
He does not point to Bjorn because he is not a king like Lagertha and Kalf, nor does he envy him like Rollo or Floki, he only points them to those four who want to revoke his command, the maximum authority is only Ragnar and he lets them know.
Because Bjorn is the oly one that respected Ragnar as father and king, Lagertha just wanted to fuck with him and be queen of anywhere, sort of the same applies to the rest
ElCabezón "not a king like Lagertha and Kalf". Lagertha and Kalf are not Kings, they are Earls, they swear fealty to a King and are lower in the hierarchy. And no, the original commenter was completely right. He didn't point at Bjorn because he was preparing him, he was also extremely proud of Bjorn during this speech. This was just after Bjorn nearly died leading men over the walls of Paris, and this was also just before Ragnar would entrust Bjorn, and Only Bjorn, with his true plan. Bjorn even helped Ragnars plan come to fruition, Ragnar seen him fit to assist him, and no one else. Bjorn was present during all the battle preparations, but had no say, and when it came to it Bjorn fought to near death for it, and as Ragnar himself said - "He was proving that you do not need a title, to be a leader.". There was a reason Ragnar didn't point at Bjorn, and it's because he didn't blame him for the others failure. It has nothing to do with Bjorns lack of a title, and everything to do with Ragnars respect for him, and lack of respect for the others.
@@kincaidwolf5184 albeit badly
Travis Fimmel. Walks barefoot into an L.A modelling agency with no money in 2002, ends up being King of the Vikings just over 10 years later. Not a bad rise.
As his most famous character also started from the bottom !
Damm Skippy. Don't forget he was in surferdude
Flawed with good looks.
yeah, I'm confused af
He is an intelligent man and has a good sense of were his talent is in acting and can therefore improve the lesser things in his acting because he is self aware of it. Travis has no interest in acting because of it's environment and also he is a humble man who knows the value of money and not be frivolous with it unlike most actors in hollywood.
Travis is a fantastic actor. Couldn't imagine anyone else playing the role of Ragnar due to how brilliantly he portrays Ragnar. This speech is a big reason why season 3 is my favourite season.
ixJamesey same here! This was my favorite episode
ixJamesey I love Ragnar
ixJamesey - Charlie Hunnam
I agree..I love them both...but Travis...twists Ragnar's character in such ways...he is perfect for the role.
Let Charlie play Arthur, he was great.
Keep the like in "666"
Tywin Lannister: "Any man who must say, "I am the King", is no true king."
Ragnar Lothbrok: "Hold my beer."
He had to say it cause everyone wanted to be king without being worthy of it, look at Rollo, the traitor, Lagertha, the overrated btch that believes everyone has to kneel in front of her, Floki, o guy that only knows how to build nice drakkars, then the rest of the people, they are irrelevant and thin about themselves they are important, and final Bjorn, the only true Ragnar successor, he just stayed calm and listened the speech
The thing is...Joffrey said with a squeeky kids voice "I am the king", sounding like a brat in the supermarket who wants to have candy and will scream and wheep until he gets his will. Ragnar establishes a fact and as you can see, all of them shut up because they know if they make just one noise, he will butcher them right there xD
Bjorn in this season its a baby
Gandalf the Grey Tywins speech also applys to that evil psychopath Daenerys, Daenerys is no queen
mead*
I love the way he whispers in Lagertha's ear... "that means i have the last say." Fucking brilliant acting
you see the way he just points at everyone "not chu, not chu" who the hell points like that lmfao. man such great acting. miss this guy so much. I'm about to get my new winter jacket embroidered with Ragnar's Raven on the back of it. Some mad honour to this guy. No better king than king ragnar.
He did say that lol
How can u even mess that up
The very faint but palpable shit-eating in his tone to really drive the point just makes it
@@calvinwong365 hahahhahah "not chu"
The only true king king who can say **I am King**
*Twyin Lannister* :
those who says *i am the king* is not a true king
+Catelyn Stark Tywin is dead.
that proverb applies only to people who became king out of ambition
Ragnar became king because of other peoples actions
Not true. Ecbert also has a really boss scene where he declares himself king of Mercia.
What would have happen if the ruler of Mercia is a nymphomaniac psycho? Not good is it? Well, in any case Ecbert had no choice as well, because of the imminent threat of the vikings, its better to have one king to rule all instead of multiple rulers in order to defeat a large population of invaders. Look what happened to Aella, he thought the had a large army, but no he had a gang facing an army instead.
My god, the intensity of his face after he says “..and they have all failed” is absolutely remarkable
The guy couldn't look at him by the eyes after that line....
I agree. He spoke with that expression in his eyes.
My favorite Part
Like a disappointed parent. I love it.
*GOD add the bi "G"
have you notice that he doesn't say "not you" to Bjorn? He points to everyone except his son. I fuking love the way he says "you've all had your ideas, and they have all FAILED!!!" you can feel the anger and the rage in his voice ugh, such a brilliant scene, travis killed it!!
Well yeah cause Bjorn was the only one there who he could trust. All of the others had hidden agendas or had betrayed him before.
He actually points to Rollo, Kalf, Lagertha and Floki.
What is even better, he didnt even look at kalf while pointing at him
That’s because Bjorn is just another soldier , his son , but a soldier. Bjorn didn’t make any plans.
@@86Yaro360 Because Kalf was just a pawn, & not even his own. He was Lagertha's pet.
''sometimes a king has to remind fools why he's king'' perfectly suits!
@Basse yah and everyone called him a monster smh
2:01 Bjorn is like "damn! My father is badass!" 😂😂
I feel that too, my dad was not a king 👍 but boy, I was so proud of him. Will my kids ever be proud of me like that?

@@alexman378 I don't remember this. What episode was it?
@@iamjacksennui I think the 3rd episode of the first season? It’s the second time they raid England. Lagertha kills Knut, Ragnar takes the blame on himself, Earl Haraldson made him a criminal, tortured Rollo, Ragnar challenged him to a duel and won, which made him an Earl.
Bjorn's like "lol.................................. wow."
He's taking mental notes, you can see it afterwards in the later parts of season 4, and throughout season 5, he's copying his dad.

The part that gets me is the ehmm I have something to say, you can feel the energy coming from someone who is just a bit smarter than the others who have tried their hand at breeching the walls of Paris, he proves in this season why he is King, I may just have to watch the whole series over again now lol 👍
Same here
King ragnar!
There's a reason why King Harald didn't try to invade Kattegat while Ragnar was still there
ooft thats too real
On his last "Not you!", he points right towards the camera. I'm like, "Shit. What did I do?"
(I know he is pointing at Floki)
apparently tried to have the last say over him, idk
King Ragnaah!
Notice how Ragnar doesn't point at Bjorn when he's telling everyone not you. I love you Ragnar!
Notice how he says it gently to Lagartha. I love you too, Ragnar!
The intensity he brings to this scene is amazing. His body language, rapidly changing facial expressions & the manner in which he dominates the physical space is spectacular.I hope that he doesn't become type cast because we have a fantastic character actor in the making here.He could bring that level of intensity to all manner of characters & stories.Apparently though he is a genuinely humble guy who would rather farm than be a Hollywood star. That's his choice but he definitely has the presence & charisma to go big-time in the film world.Fantastic actor. He fills the screen in every scene he's in.All Hail King Ragnar!!(Even though I'm from Wessex!)🔱👑🔱
Ah but saxons were once a similar people to the norse and were the first sea raiders to conquer Britain, and saxons also worshipped odin.
"Apparently though he is a genuinely humble guy who would rather farm than be a Hollywood star."
Wait, are you serious? He's just like the character he portrayed?
@@iamjacksennui He's said that he only took up acting and modeling to make money because he eventually just wants to retire on his farm and live that sort of life.

This is the part of Ragnar that Ivar inherited
That boring none charismatic wannabe has nothing in common with great Ragnar.
Ragnar: "have the last say"
Everyone: "huh.. what.. what did he say.."
Hahahahahahahahh dry humor🤣🤣
irony
This is by far the most powerful speech by Ragnar in the series.
“Who wants to be King” is probably the most powerful
Both
king ragnar this is my name
That*
I love this scene but what I love the most is how bjorn is observing and learning.. he answered “He rules” and then immediately gets to watch his father rule. Awesome lesson for him
Ragnar: I have something to say. I did not become Earl because I aspired to be one. It came about because of other people's actions. And I did not become king out of ambition, but once again I had no choice as a result of other people's actions. But nonetheless, I am king. King Ragnar, that is my name. What does a king do Bjorn?
Bjorn: He rules.
Ragnar: Yes, good... he rules. And as a ruler, I have the last say. Me! Not you, not you and not you.
Robert ccc yeah we saw it too xD
you should take into account the non-native speakers
Robert ccc I gat you
Ragnar: you have all had your ideas, and the have all FAILED!
Actually thanx man,..you helped us
Ragnars a walking form of authority and testosterone
His performance in this one short scene alone, should be enough to grant him access to films
Travis conveys a level of rage and bitterness that is really rare and unlikely to find anywhere else on screen.
I just started watching Vikings about a week ago and ran across this scene yesterday. By far my favorite scene of the show so far. Viking Jax Teller here putting his foot down for the first time with all the people who have known him as he has ascended is outstanding. Travis Fimmel's eyes always look like he is on the verge of killing 10 people then eating a little chicken/fish and taking a nap. I love the look on Bjorn's face when he is finished, true respect and awe of what his father is even as he is gravely wounded.
Viking jax teller🤣🤣🤣 perfect comparison
Favorite character of all time from any show on television by a long shot.
A leader is made of something different. This scene although fiction illustrates that well. Everybody wants to be the man, but fails to realize they aren't blessed or gifted with the vision of a leader. Ragnar allowed them to prove themselves because sometimes you need to let people show themselves why they aren't the shot caller...That in turn strengthens your power and position even more. Because they will doubt themselves and believe in you even more than they did before.
Also very effective to quell any and all dissent.
Ragnar's speech to anyone except Lagertha:
"and as a ruler, I....MEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Everyone else except lagertha: "wut?"
After Ragnar dies the show takes a huge hit. For one simple reason. Nobody left in the show has even close to the amount of gravitas, or ferocity as Travis Fimmel to make a scene like this work.
He is basically calling everyone his bitch xD Even if he wasn't the King, He'd still shut everyone up and "have the Last Say"...... That's how Awesome he is
HE CALLS EVERYONNE HIS BITCH bruh you had me dead
His such an amazing actor, probably the best I’ve seen on tv
This is my favorite scene of the entire show.
The way how he looks at lagertha when he says 'It came about because of other peoples actions'
Never cease to give me goosebumps.
Real leaders like Ragnar are humble 90 percent of the time. Two things real leaders possess are the ability to know when to throw down the gauntlet and how hard, as well as reprimanding their management. If you are in an organization where the "leader" reprimands staff more than management, you have an overseer. They don't last long.
I'm a new fan of the show. And something I've noticed is that Ragnar doesn't really act like a typical king. He just seems like a respected leader. Even the people arround him don't really give him the courtesies afforded to a king. He mostly just let's everyone do there own thing and he doesn't use much of his authority. I love this scene because he reminds everyone who he is.
Enjoy the show its truly an masterpiece
One of the most powerful and best fucking scene in all Vikings.!
''They hav all failed ''
Is a SCENE that will giv me goosebumps even in nighg
A king who must say "I am the King, is no true King"........Yeah right :P

Best scene ever for Ragnar. I love it.
how can you not love ragnar?, when you hear him talk you want to follow him and fight by his side, Vikings is not the same without him.
My favorite scene in the whole dang show. PHENOMENAL performance from Travis Fimmel, excellent editing, FANTASTIC speech. One of the best moments in TV history, if you ask me.
Vikings has now been added to my favorite of all series, respect to cast and story .
This is the only time in the entire series that he goes off like this which only shows just how patient he is and how much it took for him to lose it
the who wants to be king speech was way tronger i think
This is so great that the travis fimmel kept his smooth voice all thé show and didn t take suddenly a batman voice
Great performance
Lol, like most male main characters do
Travis is underrated as an actor
I always wonder why isn't one of the most celebrated moment of all TV Series especially of Vikings.
Such a smooth unforced delivery of acting on Travis part. Loved it
So much power in his voice💪
Floki slap his head...EPIC MOMENT
I have watched this movie for about five times like I can’t stop watching favorite actor king Ragnar ❤

Yeap, we saw that..
We miss u legend 💔💔
Congrats to the guys from the cast who saw in the hansdome australian with his quite voice the amazing actor that he is
In season 3 and 4 I think he knew he was on the way out so it's great to see him pour everything into the character.
Travis Fimmel is such a great actor.
He is the 🐐
Ragnar is great legend 💕 I love him
ALL HAIL KING RAGNAR
Love how he doesn’t say “not you” to Bjorn
He taught them a lesson by far one of the best moments
I really have to watch this whole journey. My ancestors were wards of King Rollo, settled on Shetland when Rollo invaded. Still have relatives their. I would love to meet them.
Ragnar was able to cow so many people with such dominant personalities into his court and make them fall in line. That takes talent and charisma beyond the mortal realm. Except for Rollo, everyone else still loved him even on their death bed, and stayed with him till he left.
LOVE THIS SCENE
This was truly gold
one of the best and must badass scene
This video is so addictive
"King Ragnar, that's my name, King Ragnar"
SEASON 3 EPISODE 9
This scene and sword of the morning. The best
i love how many monumental moments this series has
Best speech ever he really be came king cos other peoples actions he just wanted to farm
I saw another comment that was like "When you just wanna farm but are forced to be king" and I was like "mmmh must be tough"
I don’t think Ragnar ever wanted to be king. He just wanted to go West. He wanted people to get drunk and sing about him while their sons farmed in peace.
such acting and intensity well played Travis Fimmel
Dat smile he gives constantly
Just watched the series up to and including season 4 and WOW! This scene was fantastic. Loved how he put everyone in their place. I know this character was loosely based on the story of a real person but I sure wish he was our PM instead of the wuss who is now. Definitely wouldn't hesitate to follow this guy into battle. Looking forward to watching the next seasons if and when they come on Netflix.
Troughout the series i always liked Rollo more. But now that rollo had been thrown to the sidelines in frankia i didn't feel that way anymore. Instead, the spotlight got back to ragnar on my perspective and ragnar truly was the greatest character in the series.
Not only that but he the greatest Viking too nobody greater
Never liked rollo. Almost hated him as a character. He literally had tantrum outbursts and even ended up raping an innocent girl at the start of the seasons just because of an argument with his brother Ragnar 🤦🏾♂️
This and when the heathen army attacks the Aelle are by far my favorite scenes of the whole show
The Best speech Ever ! 🤎💪🏽
This scene is amazing the way ragnar involves everyone in it and sets a tone towards each one
Any man who must say I am the king is no true king
I think you can make an exception here Tywin
i cried....

love the way he pointed with his finger and said not you
When he says: They all failed, he looks at Floki. Whilst, Floki was the greatest one who failed on the raid.
Floki’s idea was pretty good.
Ragnar is genius though.
I think when they arrived, he had a general idea of what to do based on Athelstan’s accounts.
But he wanted to see if anyone else could do the impossible.
Ragnar's actor is pretty good yes, but even Rollo's is
I want to rewatch this
The best speech ever!
Love how Lagertha can't help being in love with him while she is immensy disapoointed at everything he has done...including losing this war.
Why would she be disappointed that he lost a war?
this war he won, the next one he lost, because of Rollo
Everyone else: Kalm
Floki: ME HIT HEAD
Travis fimmel‘s out of this world.
Ragnar was mostly happy to be a farmer and wanted to make his little space in the world a trade community. Yet everytime he thought he could do that, someone was always trying to shove a title on him. The way Travis played Ragnar and the way the writers scripted Ragnar it was easy to believe Ragnar would let others try and lead, but mostly, they just failed. Ragnar was even fine to let them fail but when he finally stepped in and everyone was trying to step on him, Ragnar finally would have his fill of it and remind them exactly who he was: Their King. His people never learned Ragnar was actually brilliant ands really hated when people did stupid things to make his life or their much harder.
