Man Travis is got to be the most underrated actor ever. Such talented guy and 90% of his popularity is only because of Vikings..
How is that a bad thing? He played the character to perfection, and is probably immortalized as a result of it.

sadly the one where he talks with his lost daughter isnt included
That one reason why I liked him so much more than Bjorn, Bjorn never seems to care about his kids dying at all but Ragnar definitely cared about his daughter dying.
But the scene where he sees his old home on the beach… he goes through such a mix of emotions and sadness really emphasizes Travis’ acting ability

I've literally said that exact line to myself during the most difficult times in my life, but what's crazy is I've never went back.... nothing stopping me, just once you're out in the world you can't take it back to the farm so you keep yourself away....it's a thought by a lot of people who leave the little places for the big city and fame....

Yes this is the best scene in the show. It is tied with when Ragnar sees his family hallucinating from early farm days. Literally the most emotional scene in cinematics

Get a life.
I have a fast and interesting life but i still feel him. dont say so rude about things that happened in someone's life, you never know all the pitfalls. perhaps someone managed to see deep meaning through the scenes that not every person could. Otherwise the scenes viewed by a person could lead him to unusual thoughts, which would eventually lead him to interesting conclusions for himself. people are different as well as their attitude towards watching TV series :/

The Ragnar burying Athelstan is so sad. You can truly feel his emotions, it also is such a great moment of him burying him with a cross. Ragnar truly was ahead of his time as a viking.

It's crazy that over 1000 years later we are still infatuated with Ragnar Lothbrok...The look on Flokis face when Ragnar told him he love him...blows me away every time.

I miss Ragnar. I just finished watching season 4. It's not the same without him. He WAS the series, now that he's gone, it is quite hard to watch.

Ragnar is my favorite Viking and was a great King. He was wise as he was smart. Unfortunately he also had a lot of pride and ego, which lead to his downfall, but he was a great warrior and leader. The show was never the same without him, thank you Travis Fimmel for your portrayal of this great character.
His snake pit speech is the most epic one I have ever heard in anything I have watched. Goosebumps every time I hear it

Now THAT'S a real character. Mighty, powerful, just, yet flawed. Ragnar wasn't the best person. He wasn't a saint, not a hero, certainly not pious, but what he was is humanely real! Who knows what the real Ragnar (if he did indeed exist) had been like, but what Travis Fimmel portrayed is too brilliant and raw!
This single performance will continue to be on my top 5 list of the best pieces of cinematic history.

I loved how Ragnar, more so in the early seasons, looked crazed and like he would lash out at any second. Earl Ragnar had such passion and love for life, he was never the same as King.

Truly an incredible series! I just recently finished watching it through for the first time. When my friend recommended it to me I had no idea what I was getting into but Vikings is definitely one of my favorite shows of all time.

He's such a great actor!! I like it when I hear his Sons on the show imitate him!!! I think Bjorn is the best at his "Ragnar impersonations"!! But they're all very close to 'down pat'😏 One more thing of the many things about him is when I found out there were real snakes biting him while giving his last speech !!!
