      Robin James yes it's really good! Any tips on getting waxier products out of your hands after styling? Soap and water just doesn't do the trick. Also, any products that are similar to this but with a higher hold?

    Finally a review! I remember I asked for it but I did later decide to buy it and I love it! Super easy to apply and hair looks and feels like never before. It takes some time to wash out the product from hands but you only do it once so not a problem really. Many products with good hold makes my scalp hurt when i style it is pulling which hurts and making styling hard but with this one never. And best of all you I only need very little amount to get my desired hairstyle. Thank you Robin James! :)

    Great review as usual Robin. Great review indeed. I have fallen in extreme like/near love with the product as well. So much so, that after receiving the Lock Stock and Barrel scent, I instantly order the other scent. Might be the first time along my clayquest that I ordered a second jar of the same product after one try. I used it three days in a row, also unheard of for me.It's now in my top 5 rotation, and in my top 3 petroleum based clays.

    Just got this today in the post. Robin i tell you what, this product is amazing. Tried many premium products, but this stuff is quality and the restyle game is the best, best. Makes your hair feel soft but with that swaz. Good recommendation.

    I recently purchased the Lockhart Matte Clay after watching your video with James Welsh. It is amazing for my thin hair and it’s so easy to work with! I was using Hanz De Fuko’s claymation but was looking for something easier to work with. I feel like the claymation was too rough for my hair type and I would lose hair every time I would apply it. Thanks for the recommendation 👌🏽

    I’ve used this for about a year and it is by far my fave hair clay. It’s very matte which I love. It can sometimes be a little dense so I mix with the looser Vo5 Matt clay when I want a slightly less matte look 🙌🏻

    James,love the transparency.I think if you did a product it would be the best product in the market because of your point of view,that consists of looking at every single aspect of the product and what you would change from it.
    This point of view that most of RUclipsrs dont have makes you apart from the rest,which will make you exceed with your product,Cheers

      Robin James It's a great one but I would say that O'douds All Purpose Pomade is a better version of it. More hold, less sticky, same ease of application and washability. Also lasts longer throughout the day. Scent is like a pepper-y lime to me.

    Great product! But as other clay products after applying into the hair if there is still some product left on the hands it has that sticky clayish feeling, which I cannot get out with soap. It goes away with some time, but anyone else is annoyed by this and maybe has a solution?

    Greetings from beautiful Greece Robin! Haven't commented in a while due to college + job haha. Excellent video as always. I was a bit hesitant to try this as I am really loving my Reutzel pomade but I definitely want to try it now especially due to the fact that you said it doesn't really need a hairspray after to hold your hair in place (yes I am a hairspray dude as well hehe). Thank you for all the info. Looking forward to the next one. Cheers!

    Hey Robin, check out courage clay. It is super matte and has a very interesting hold. It styles my hair much better than lockharts or claymation or any other product. Also, because you have fine hair, if you do pick up this product, use it it multiple layers to decrease the stickiness and experiment to use a little to quite a lot. If you use a lot it doesn't give it a different texture, it just increases the hold. Honestly Robin, I think you will love this smaller company's product. Oh and it smells amazing.

    • @ManForHimself
      @ManForHimself  6 лет назад

      Thanks for the tips, Connor. A few other guys have also recommended it.

    • @conorw7604
      @conorw7604 6 лет назад

      It does smell amazing though I find Courage Clay has a good amount of tug and pull, and it is honestly too matte for me, makes hair really dry looking. It's also way overpriced simply for the fact it comes in a tiny container. It is a good product though especially since it is water based and washes out without shampoo, though still provides good hold.

    I used the mango/vanilla variant for quite a while I really liked the scent. The hold was a bit low for my hairstyle but gave it great definition. So I finished it of with a blast of hairspray and was set for the day. Currently I'm using the sheh.voo clay and finding it very similar to the Apothecary one. Great review as always Robin!

    I definitely want to try this out after I'm done with Cavalier Clay. I just have a question, is a "Clay Pomade" just like a regular clay or is it really a mix between clay and pomade? Also this is probably a dumb question but is the one that robin uses the same product as the vanilla mango one, just a different scent? If anyone can answer I'd really appreciate it. Cheers!

    Apothecary 87 clay -- It's a medium to pretty good wax. BUT the smell is horrible (the Vanilla Mango). It's like a cheap scented candle. I thought it would go away after awhile -- it never did! I woke up the next morning and thought, 'Who is burning a cheap candle?' Ohhh, it's just my hair.

    Can you try and then review Mitch matte finish hair reformer! It’s honestly the best hair styling product I’ve ever used! Because I straighten my hair I find adding a lot of products just add too much moisture to my hair and it starts going curly and frizzy so the Mitch product works for me and I can even go to bed without washing my hair wake up andit still looks great! Amazing! Go try robin :)

      Both are very good, i just dont like morris motley because it pulls and drags my hair so it kinda hurts making it hard to style for me. But if it wouldn't i would say they are equally good for what they are meant for :)

    so, im only using waterbased products and only once or twice a week, i only wash my hair with shampoo once per 3-4 months but wash it with only water every single day, i found it comfortable for me, but am i doing it right?

      If it works for you, go for it.
      But only washing it 3/4 times a year seems too little.
