    God this car looks aggressive. Love those wheels in that blue colour combination because they make the car so sexy. It might be a little too extreme for everyday use but I imagine most people with extra cash to spend will buy this Giulia Quadrafoglio as a second or third car.

      I have one. Daily commuter. In "A" mode it is actually VERY tame, almost boring. My Saab 9-5 winter beater is faster when the Alfa is in A mode.

    • @daltonv5206
      @daltonv5206 7 лет назад +1

      verzekeringsadviseur just the opposite. this chassis is only here because they plan to share it between multiple vehicles. otherwise it'd be wayyyy too expensive to develop for a niche brand. only the quadrifoglio utilizes the carbon fiber driveshaft and hood iirc.

    my only disappointment with this car is the lack of a sunroof option , I could care less about the weight saving . the m3 and c amg both have the option for a sunroof .

    • @dinopappous6639
      @dinopappous6639 7 лет назад +2

      They were serious about creating a car that was dynamic and properly balanced....rear seats don't fold forward to save the weight of the hinges and mechanism required to do that....Hood and roof are Carbon Fiber...this car is no BS...if you want a sunroof, get the 4 C Spider !!!!

      this is false: a single australian tester found a programming bug with remote key engine start. it would drive but in safe mode. so not stranded. they tested a first-production model, at this time the problem could have been corrected with many software updates that have been released.

    • @alanq4
      @alanq4 7 лет назад +1

      if you take ferrari california V8 engine and cut two cilinders you get this engine. Coincidence? I dont think so.

    • @TheMule71
      @TheMule71 7 лет назад +2

      No you don't.
      There are features on the V6 that are unique. Features that require the engine to be designed from clean slate. Like the ability to turn off half of the cylinders in economy mode. Not a new idea, but it's the first time someone manages to do it to these extents. One side of the engine completely turns off when power is not required. And this is not something that you can add as an afterthought or a modification. It requires a new design from scratch.
      Both engines were designed by the same guy, hence the many similarities: the angle (90 deg.), the cylinders, yes they are almost the same. But the ideas are completely different. Nobody at Ferrari really cares about economy anyway, so the V8 has none of the features that make the V6 unique.
      When Gianluca Pivetti moved from Ferrari to Alfa, he met new challenges. In Ferrari you just care about performance. Production and operational costs are kind of irrelevant. The cars aren't going to be cheap anyway, price isn't an issue (not the main issue for sure). That's not true in Alfa. Alfa makes cars that you can use everyday with a great sport "flavour" to them, but still not supercars (and not at a superprice).
      So you can say that the building blocks of the two engines are the same, but the results are completely different.
