Great review, one of the best. I am about to hand in my Mercedes C63 and replace it with this beast. having driven one myself it really does put a smile on your face, something the M3 cannot match. Wish me luck.
Sold S4 for this beast. And absolutely love this car. Rides so beautiful and handles like no other car I’ve owned. Yes and that engine is sweet as they say. 🍀
great review for a great car! That's what the new Maserati Quattroporte should have been (in my opinion). It's sad to see that model ruined. However, as we can see now, others are ready to take it's place!
Quattroporte should had have the california T engine or a detuned 488 engine, hell the 458 detuned engine or the 599GTB v12 would all make better suiters to the quattroporte than this v6. This v6 would be good for the ghibili tho.
alfas have an intangible character that you described better than I could. my 156 was supposed to be a beater but is now one of my favorite cars I've owned. would be very interested in a base giulia when I come back to the states, but no manual transmission option is a disappointment.
Great review, providing very good perspective on why buy a QV. Now, for those lesser mortals among us (me) how about a review of the Ti on the same road? Preferably an AWD version, since it defaults to RWD unless the rears start losing traction. I can almost afford that model. :)
My MY 2017 Quadrifoglio still amazes me every time (not daily) I get to drive it. Is it perfect ? No, I think it has some downfalls which can be easily remedied : 1. The exhaust valves open only in race mode and also in dynamic mode but only above a certain revs per minute (I think 3,000); now a button hidden down on the dashboard allows me to open the valves in whatever driving mode. 2. Maximum revs in Dynamic mode are limited to 4,500 in the first 5 gears; this has been deleted. 3. Because the springs are quite soft, I got a lot of nose diving. This problem has largely been solved by installing the GTA(m) suspension software. 4. The rear diffusor, which IMO is a design masterpiece, is in plastic. Luckily the aftermarket offers some nice carbon fiber options. One thing is for sure : I'll never sell it !!!
Great video Brian. Trying to decide between the Alfa or Lexus LC500. 2 very different cars but both appeal to me in different ways. It will be replacing a 991.1 GTS, looking for more comfort. Thoughts ?
If comfort is your top criteria, it's Lexus hands down. This Alfa can be a bit hard. I find that Lexus very interesting in many ways and has performance to match its looks.
Brian Makse I’ve yet to drive either because of the weather here in the Toronto area. Love the look of both especially the Lexus but am drawn to the superior performance and $20k savings of the Alfa. I have read that the both the Alfa and Lexus have amazing ride quality? Going to test drive both in the near future and make a decision. Thanks again.
To fully appreciate a car like the Giulia you need to take it to the track or if you can find a route like the one in the video. Driving it as a daily driver in typical urban traffic is a waste.
JCA Giulia is really good as a cruiser, but the only complaints I have are the electronics can be a bit of a pain sometimes and the transmission is not the smoothest in stop and go traffic
A beautiful car but Alfa's reputation for reliability will guarantee poor sales here in the U.S. I'm not only referring to when it was previously here but it's current reputation in Europe.
Arrigo Alfa Romeo in West Palm Beach has an inventory of them. I remember Bentley claiming the Bentayga was all sold out too. Pick your color from a large assortment at Braman Bentley in West palm Beach as well! It is contrived hype to promote sales.
Aut Caesar~~Apparently you don't read. The British publication "What Car?" is one of many critical of the Mito. This is what they have to say regarding the 2017 Mito "The trouble is, buy any Mito and you’ll have to put up with a pretty sub-standard car. It’s off the pace in just about every area.".

+m3petem3 great choice!
Hey Brian how come no sunglasses?
Sometimes I need to see...or maybe I forgot them. Can't remember.
you will not be disappointed. :)
Probably the best review on the Alfa Giulia QV.
Thanks! Tell your friends!
Super nice review. Picking mine up this week. Goodbye Audi and bimmer. This car is just incredible to drive.....You can’t stop.
"Like plad on a hipster " brilliant..
Great review. I want one even more now
Great review Brian, Fantastic Shots Nick!!
This car has boat loads of character in a sea full of comparable cars, this one stands out. Loving Mine!
Sold S4 for this beast. And absolutely love this car. Rides so beautiful and handles like no other car I’ve owned. Yes and that engine is sweet as they say. 🍀
Great move from the S4. Giulia is much more interesting.
Just got notice that mine has landed at the dealer !!!!! Can't wait...
+Dino Pappous good stuff! Enjoy!
I have the pleasure of owning one . People you want something really special ??? Buy one !!!

The Quattroporte is a much bigger car. Totally different segment. The Ghibli is a close competitor for sure.
This car is 10 centimetres (4-inch) shorter than BMW 3 Series.

The Quattroporte GTS has a 3.8-liter V8 twin-turbo, 530 hp.
Great review and nicely produced and edited! :)
+Gavin Kerr thanks Gavin! Tell your friends!

+longbowdt thanks, appreciate your feedback. Have you contributed to our Patreon so that we can fund that Ti review?
why, no I haven't. I had no idea such reviews cost the reviewer $$.
+longbowdt how do you think it works?
advertisement revenue?
What revenue?
wow best review
Outstanding review, as always - balanced and thorough. Keep 'em comin'. ;-)
Thanks, more great stuff on the way. Tell your friends!
Nice review!

Springs cause road noise?
gotta go with the green/white stitching for the Quad.... the red is kinda "blah"

hey Brian great review as always👍👍😊😊do you think this alfa is reliable?? thanks. keep up the great work😊😊
+Michael Lui thanks! Time will tell, but I think production cars will be much better than this tester.
@7:22 prettiest wheels in the business.
+Jonathan Careless timeless.
The rotary style rims are gorgeous.
good job
+holyworrier thank for watching!
#TheReturnOfTheKing it's the best thing out there.
+AlfaEricWashDC clearly a non-biased opinion
What is the watch you are wearing at around 2:30?
+NickBrakattack same one that's on my wrist almost everyday - my father's retirement watch on a NATO strap.

+JCA why? It drives just fine in LA traffic.
JCA Giulia is really good as a cruiser, but the only complaints I have are the electronics can be a bit of a pain sometimes and the transmission is not the smoothest in stop and go traffic
@6:00 why didn't you show the 'naked carbon fibre'?
+Jonathan Careless what? Are you paying for the production now?
Bam!
awesome car as well as review but who bent the front rim..???
It's a press car with over 7,000 miles. Your guess is as good as mine.
So you like the Guilia but not the M3??
+RxSwolldier how did you come to that conclusion?
That thing is just dripping with sexy
Agreed. I think the same each time I see one.
The camera angle from 6:56...drool...
+ckarsenal trying out the new GoPro
That was Alfa Romeo porn. Great review.
I seen a white one it looked like a snow owl
BMW started coping FIAT cars.
Dom Degood nope they just over engineered they don’t put any passion or love in to there car unlike the Italians they are proud of there cars
But did it beat the M3? The conclusion is missing.
Yes. German boring. Italian exciting
Plz make drag race btw alfa giulia qv vs 2016 camaro ss
How much are you willing to contribute to the production costs for that?
Sry my speaking isnt good, I cant understand thr meaning of ur question
Please contribute to our Patreon so that we can pay for videos like that.
ORGOGLIO ITALIANO (Italian Pride).
Those pzero are worst than the Michelin Pilot Super Sport, if they were trofeo r, those yes, would be a trick, the p zero corsas? No way.
i agree...trofeo's dropped my track time on a short track by nearly 2 seconds over Corsas
Mama mia!
Not a first effort! 1988 Milano Verde, and this: ruclips.net/video/9LYj13VBRRA/видео.html 1995 Alfa Romeo 164q....
You old school Alfa blokes always have a different idea.
To me, it is like porn children can watch as well.
Glad you enjoyed.

+Steve W all the QFs are spoken for around here for months.

The Mito is a total disaster, are you familiar with this car?
Steve W
"Mito is a total disaster"..??????? ....you're a fool.....

turbo have ruined exhaust sound. they all sound the same - boring.
