EddieX as you said, it is unlike anything out there. It has a Ferrari Derived engine, and has more hp than the mercedes, and m3 and m4. Nice review! And thanks for the reply!
I absolutely adore this car. Would take it over the M3 purely for the originality of it. You're not going to know TOO many people that own this car. I enjoy that aspect.
Qian Huang: Alfa has had good reliability since the 156 (I have a 156 GTA that's just solid and reliable all the way). In the olden days there were issues, but lately I'd be at least as concerned with e.g. BMW which does not live up to the "German Quality" myth. Myths and perceptions take decennia to shift in the direction of reality. It's about demographics too, and a typical BMW owner, around here at least, won't ever admit their cars fail even if they have to push them all the way home :-p
EddieX yes please do more jdm reviews the likes of Lexus Infinity etc have some more diversity love your reviews but a lot if Germans some variety will be good maybe the older jdm legends as well keep up the good work
Of course Alfa Romeo..I have a 159, and it's a perfect car..Only have to do basic service's, oil, brake disc/pads. They are reliable, old Alfa's had some problem with electricity (156/147/GT) but from 2005 (159) they fixed these failures.Lot of ppl, say's Giulia is weak in technology...Guys it's a sport car, its ALL about driving pleasure..And Alfa Romeo is one of the best about it. I don't care about automatic parking, HUD, and other useless things..
Transmissios and most of the Petrol engines are from GM. They are reliable but very hard to operate. In later diesels version they introduced slightly better transmissios.
Same here, my first car was a 155 - drove him 1 year till i killed it...but it was my fault not the car. I bought a 156 after and i loved the car. Just sold it when i bought a 159 ti 2.4 Diesel 1 year later and i am still driving it after more than 7 years. Never had bigger problems. Manual of course
i stopped watching VV because it seemed like there was something missing from the channel that made the content kinda bland. I realize that was you lol, keep up the good work!
1) Ur vids are better than Parker's. 2) Love ya! 3) I see you're doing this full time. Speaking as a youtuber, this ain't easy if you have to go out there and work on cars! Darn!!!!! RESPECT!
Eddie, loved the video but at the beginning you said that it is only available with an automatic. That isn't true (maybe in the USA it is) but in Europe you can still order a manual Giula Quadrifoglio!
Thanks for the quick response, I can imagine it sucks that there is no manual option in the US (I really shouldn't care because I could never afford one, but still). Please keep making more reviews (would love to see more supercar reviews, if you can get your hands on those)!!
everyone says the brakes suck because they are electronically controlled rather than hydraulic. it sort of delays the response and creates the numb feeling you were talking about.
As someone who is an owner of 16y old Alfa, i can comfortably say that it had very good reliability. Most of electronic parts are the same as of the German cars. It has some of the bad thing to it, but 16y old and still running like a champ. BTW in Europe you can order QV with manual.
Alfas will make you fall in love with them. They are in many ways special and owning one sets you apart from others. The name alone sounds exotic haha. I wasn't much of a fan until i bought one and now i see why people love them. As far as reliability goes, i can't say much since i have driven just under 3,000 kilometers with my car since purchase but i have heard that the newer models aren't as bad as people say. I mean come on, BMW and even Land/Range Rover reliability isn't all that great but people still buy them. If it's not a shit bucket, buy one and experience it.
I agree alot about this video! But I would say the "Italian Reliability" thing is a bit off, my friends Abarth Punto has been kicking ass since i think 2013, with only normal petty things like oil changes etc.
All the way the Giulia, powerful, good looking and unique car, it just stands out of the crowd. It also helps you to make friends (some passing by complementing you). Contrarily the M3 or the Mercedes C63, ugly sport looking cars. Enjoy the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio
Funny when you hear americans talks about Alfa Romeo like it's new car :DDD they one of the first in Europe. And first who was race cars. Alfa ROmeo in Europe is great car but devaluation is super high on Alfa romeo. In 4 years it will be worth 25%. Maybe Quadrifoglio will keeps its value and be like 50%.
Chrysler is no longer in business. They do not build cars separate from FIAT. Its now Fiat Chrysler Askdjdmdm and the on,y kept the Chrysler name but the Chrysler business is gone. So Chrysler isn't proving parts for no one anymore. So the Chrysler parts you speak of are Fiat parts... but the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio is mostly Alfa Romeo then Ferrari, then Fiat, no Chrysler!
It sets off radar detectors, AND no manual?!? I drooled over this car at the NAIAS, where it had a 6-speed manual in it that I saw with my own eyes. Way to go Alfa Romeo, you suck.
Duuude....you've been killing it with the reviews!!💪💪 I've been looking forward to your thoughts on this, my neighbor just picked one up 2weeks ago and it's definitely a sweet ride! Keep up the great work Eddie
It is really awkward for Alfa. Performance wise, Giulia QV is simply the best in class. However, it is a sport sedan for mainly daily driving. The technology side is very bad on Alfa. No HUD, no digital dash, horrible camera system.
Let me start by saying I love the Afla Romeo Giulia. Whenever reviewers mention this segment of sedans they nearly always leave out mentioning the ATSV. Why is that? It properly competes with these cars with ease. Yes we all know about the mighty M3/M4 and the C63, but that is not all. I don't know if it is because its an American car, but that should not be an excuse for a true automotive enthusiast. I just like for credit to be given where it is due. General Motors has put a lot into the development of the ATSV, CTSV, and the Camaro.
Funny enough I just did a search and there are 5 of these for sale at the moment here in New Zealand - 4 in Wellington about 6 hours drive or a very short plane trip from me, and 1 just 3 kilometers away - so I guess we finally have something in NZ that is easier to get than in the US! Unfortunately the cheapest one (which is also the one in my town) is listed at $137,240 NZD so I won't be rushing out and buying it today. Nice to know if I won the lotto this weekend I could be driving one on Monday though. LMAO.
I truly hope this Alfa proves to be reliable. The C63's (w205) have all sorts of QC issues. The m3/m4's, I'm just waiting for rod bearings to be an issue on these lol.
Love your vids Eddie! Only thing I would do differently is the ending. They end so abruptly. Maybe I'm still expecting "like gravity" but then it just ends 😢
Great review, heres my two cents tho from personally working this vehicle, 1. owner should have gotten the carbon ceramic brakes and the sports seats you can daily those just as well if not better than the ones he has. 2. We already have to serviced like 5 of these and they all have less than 200 miles on them so they are pretty shit in terms of reliability we got everything from electronic issues to car loosing power under throttle. i would still get an M3, C63 and even the new S4 before getting one of these. If you are planning on buying one wait for the 2018 or 2019s Alfa says they'll improve them next year. on that note still a beautiful car if they were around 60K would be well worth it but if you're gonna spend over 80K might has well not regret it.
Have had my Alfa Giulia Quadrifoglio almost 2 months now. What a beast. I have 4 other Alfas, a Ferrari and wife's Maserati. Went with Volcano Black. This is freakishly fast. 100 comes at 8.2 seconds. I do agree about the brakes But you get used to it. Least they are in front of you instead of offset to the right like the Ferrari
good looking car, maybe the design is too conventional for alfa romeo but speaking about abilities this car is a lot faster and more potent than mercedes c and bmw 3 in all categories. So if sombody is buying a saloon car for first class style, power and handling then alfa will be the first choice, and if you like high tech interior and a lot of gadgets plus premium quality than bmw and mercedes are first choice.
I would lease one, as a second car for the weekends...and the moment the warranty is gone I would drop it like it's hot. I'll stick to my BMW 340 as a daily driver.
Great car. The only disappointing aspect are the available paint options. I haven't seen one color that really stands out. If I could buy one, I would probably buy one in silver or blue...maybe gray.
still prefer ze germanz for reliability and looks, especially the more refined interiors but this car is still a verrry intriguing proposition that I'll keep my eye on in the next few years. subbed; you obviously love cars and it shows.
for a daily c63s wins a tune gets it up to 620hp and it just about the best daily 4 door and you cant beat the v8 i would never take the alfa since looking up owners complaints about reliability already no thanks. m3 sounds like garbage and atleast the alfa sounds decent for a v6
I dig your reviews my ninja your personality is off the chart for this. I just can't help but notice the editing is all over the place. Like the way your intro cut short instead of flowing into the review and please get a outro. I sub to you before i ever thought of subbing to parker that's saying something. Keep getting better.
Nice review. but please don't bring the owner of each car you are reviewing, actually it's only you and the car we want to see, not the owners. If they want to create and grow up their channel, they should work and make good contents, specially most of them are boring in front the cameras. thanks for your review
One of the only reviews that didn't make the car sound like a christ-like creation. I like that you actually ran into problems, didn't think it turned water into wine but appreciated for what it did do right.
Most of reviews on the net said and already tested dat the gulia its faster on the nurburgring then the m3 and the SL even with bmw using the competition package but like you said and well said alfa has a reputation of having alot of issues... eletric issues to be more exact and the maintenence its so expensive , bmw and mercedes are cheaper comparing with alfa
From what I hear the manual in this car is fucking terrible anyway. I'm with you, I won't own a performance car with an automatic (if there's a choice), but in this case I've read enough horror stories about the shitty manual in this car in other countries that I'm okay with it only having the auto. That being said, you can still get an ATS-V with the excellent Tremec TR6060 manual for less money.
Eddie!!! Great review! I can't wait for the Alfa Stelvio SUV to be released in the US. I'm 6'2" and on the whoa tubby side. I remember hearing in another review that you are 6'2" also. How would the Giulia do on road trips for comfort?! Thanks!
Alfa over the M3 and AMG. Every day of the week.
Rather have this than the c63s amg and the m4 any day!
EddieX as you said, it is unlike anything out there. It has a Ferrari Derived engine, and has more hp than the mercedes, and m3 and m4. Nice review! And thanks for the reply!
Don't stop making car reviews
I absolutely adore this car. Would take it over the M3 purely for the originality of it. You're not going to know TOO many people that own this car. I enjoy that aspect.
Until you have to take it to service all the time. :)
It's not made in China.
Qian Huang: Alfa has had good reliability since the 156 (I have a 156 GTA that's just solid and reliable all the way). You keeping a straight face while accelerating just cracked me up lmao 5:16
;
I've been waiting for this car review :)
Get your hands on a Lexus LC 500 2018, I can't believe I'm saying this of a Lexus but is fucking awesome and gorgeous!
EddieX yes please do more jdm reviews the likes of Lexus Infinity etc have some more diversity love your reviews but a lot if Germans some variety will be good
maybe the older jdm legends as well
keep up the good work
But a Toyota.
Eddie, you seriously have been killing it lately!
You are lucky with your 159. A lot of people still have problems with the American build clutch.
"1 year later and i am still driving it after more than 7 years." Wait what?
1 year on the 156, now i still drive the 159 after 7 years, sorry
For people who want a quick answer to the title: *yes*
Saw this exact same alfa on the road the other day, gorgeous looking car!
EddieX I am, and it definitely was.
You aren't DRIVING....you talk and talk....you have 510 cv ALFA!!!!!!
This is not a car for an old grandmother!!!!
seen a dark gray giulia in person the other day
the design is absolutely stunning!
Beautiful car
Does it come with a spaghetti dispenser?
Alexander Oprea Do the germans dispense Beer? If so, it kind of explains the poor handing.
Hamburger and hot dog dispenser...only for you
asian Doug demuro
Tom Wiech here's why the Nissan EddieX is very similar to me
Cadillac ATS-V is one you missed.
Fly by wire brakes… so that's why it feels weird.
Alfa Giulia over any German vehicle... so sick and tired of bmw vw audi and mbenz everywhere!!!
.
i sat through the entire ad for you eddie. youre welcome
"Liked" before watching. Support the Eddie!
Alfa every time. Basic interior? You say nothing about the actual design - which is far more beautiful than the German cars.
i stopped watching VV because it seemed like there was something missing from the channel that made the content kinda bland. I realize that was you lol, keep up the good work!
Wow your reviews are just great 👍 keep up the great work 💪💪
I love the look of the interior, and that v8 sound! Mmmmm
EddieX thanks for the correction, regardless, still a great car
1) Ur vids are better than Parker's. 2) Love ya! 3) I see you're doing this full time. Speaking as a youtuber, this ain't easy if you have to go out there and work on cars! Darn!!!!! RESPECT!
Hmm I wonder if Alfa can make a good steering wheel?
Eddie, loved the video but at the beginning you said that it is only available with an automatic. That isn't true (maybe in the USA it is) but in Europe you can still order a manual Giula Quadrifoglio!
Thanks for the quick response, I can imagine it sucks that there is no manual option in the US (I really shouldn't care because I could never afford one, but still). Please keep making more reviews (would love to see more supercar reviews, if you can get your hands on those)!!
Forgot about the Cadillac V series cars
Nissan you da man
everyone says the brakes suck because they are electronically controlled rather than hydraulic. it sort of delays the response and creates the numb feeling you were talking about.
Love alfa, but really concerned about reliability issue. any inside info about it?
EddieX thx Eddie
yes is Better Than The Germans!!!
Nissan driving a Alfa....
Excellent review. Glad to see this channel doing well.
Ear me out Eddie
What about the ATSV or CTSV
As someone who is an owner of 16y old Alfa, i can comfortably say that it had very good reliability. Most of electronic parts are the same as of the German cars. It has some of the bad thing to it, but 16y old and still running like a champ.
BTW in Europe you can order QV with manual.
0:58 Way to ignore Audi [R]S and Cadillac CTS-V etc. Am I missing something?
Haris M you mean the ATS-V
Audi is missing RWD and Cadillac is missing a good car
Alfas will make you fall in love with them. They are in many ways special and owning one sets you apart from others. The name alone sounds exotic haha. Alfa all day
Porker has a face you just want to punch!

The infotainment looks like BMW'S because it was made by the same people
Let me start by saying I love the Afla Romeo Giulia. Whenever reviewers mention this segment of sedans they nearly always leave out mentioning the ATSV. Why is that? I love these style reviews, man. And big respect for not including 20 seconds more of BS for increased ad revenue.
Funny enough I just did a search and there are 5 of these for sale at the moment here in New Zealand - 4 in Wellington about 6 hours drive or a very short plane trip from me, and 1 just 3 kilometers away - so I guess we finally have something in NZ that is easier to get than in the US! Please review the C32 & C55 AMG (W203 C-Class). Thanks for the videos!
They're not bringing manual to USA, in Europa it's avaiable in both manual and automatic.
I truly hope this Alfa proves to be reliable. The C63's (w205) have all sorts of QC issues. The m3/m4's, I'm just waiting for rod bearings to be an issue on these lol.
How do you talk about this car and it's competitors without even mentioning the ATS-V?
Down to Mercedes or BMW?? WTF you forgot Cadillac, Alfa Romeo, Jaguar, Maserati and Audi
Love your vids Eddie! Only thing I would do differently is the ending. They end so abruptly. Maybe I'm still expecting "like gravity" but then it just ends 😢

No stupid Snarker(y) comments. Professional.
Great car. The only disappointing aspect are the available paint options. I haven't seen one color that really stands out. If I could buy one, I would probably buy one in silver or blue...maybe gray.
Okay...here goes...I'd rather have a Chevy SS manual. I'll show myself out.
eddieX , which will you buy, m3, c63s or quadrifoglio? and why?
Consider getting an alfa but reliability is the question. Probably end up getting an Evora 400.
still prefer ze germanz for reliability and looks, especially the more refined interiors but this car is still a verrry intriguing proposition that I'll keep my eye on in the next few years. subbed; you obviously love cars and it shows.

Hahaha Eddie I made a video in that exact same parking lot in Plymouth/Hines Drive
I dig your reviews my ninja your personality is off the chart for this. I just can't help but notice the editing is all over the place. Like the way your intro cut short instead of flowing into the review and please get a outro.
I sub to you before i ever thought of subbing to parker that's saying something. Keep getting better.
Sounds exactly like my friends Fiesta ST. Not a bad thing, but it does.
Here comes the hate.
Nice review. but please don't bring the owner of each car you are reviewing, actually it's only you and the car we want to see, not the owners. If they want to create and grow up their channel, they should work and make good contents, specially most of them are boring in front the cameras.
thanks for your review
I'm sold because of the fact it has a Ferrari engine and we'll because Italian. Such a beautiful, gorgeous machine!
RS4 needs to come back as a sedan again.
I'm hoping Audi makes an RS5 sportback because I agree I'd rather have a 4 door.
One of the only reviews that didn't make the car sound like a christ-like creation. I like that you actually ran into problems, didn't think it turned water into wine but appreciated for what it did do right.
Whats the TC like. No one talks about that? Its so important in these high power cars. Inb4 'just turn it off'
I'd take the Giulia any day over competitors! It's everything I love in a sports car but with four doors
You are giving it a 90?, is that your DougScore on it?, what are the quirks and features?.
Giulia for sure
The car is available with a 6 speed manual gearbox in Europe, just not in the US
wth literally was looking for reviews yesterday... like you read my history
Great review Eddie! been waiting for this car....
BTW Parker told me to say hi
loved the vid especially the intro but please avoid that camera angle directly on your face....
Eddie you're the man. Always seem to read my mind with what cars I'd like to see reviewed. Keep up the awesome videos!
Could you upload previous videos (ie: your boss 302) on this channel?
WTF why doesn't this come with a Manual.. Hold on why am I complaining I can't afford one anyway. Please disregard
From what I hear the manual in this car is fucking terrible anyway. I'm with you, I won't own a performance car with an automatic (if there's a choice), but in this case I've read enough horror stories about the shitty manual in this car in other countries that I'm okay with it only having the auto.
That being said, you can still get an ATS-V with the excellent Tremec TR6060 manual for less money.
im sure it comes with a manual too
Robert Blake no it doesn't
I saw this car in Ypsilanti one day. Beautiful and it was quick. I could not keep up.
Good shit Chow Mein. Would love to see you get behind the wheel of a 991.2 and tell us what's it all about.
This is quite rare even in Europe, can't even imagine how often you can see one of these on the U.S. streets. Great car!
Eddie!!! Great review! I can't wait for the Alfa Stelvio SUV to be released in the US. I'm 6'2" and on the whoa tubby side. I remember hearing in another review that you are 6'2" also. How would the Giulia do on road trips for comfort?! Thanks!
I live in the Kalamazoo, MI area so I know exactly what you're talking about... thanks for the response and awesome reviews. Keep it up!
He talked about reliability concerns and got an error light during the review, lol!
in Europe it is possible to get the Gulia QF with a 6 speed manual, rip to the purists in the US
In Europe is available with a 6 speed manual but a lot of people said that the auto suits more the engine etc.
I'll buy it off your friend for $40-45k next year :)
pretty good car and a good alternative but not for diehard german enthusiasts
