The 2024 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Is A Ferocious Ferrari Powered Super Sedan
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 10 июл 2024
- The super sport sedan segment was put on notice when #AlfaRomeo introduced the #GiuliaQuadrifoglio back in 2017. This Italian sport sedan was a big middle finger to the BMW M3 and for 2024, the #AlfaRomeoGiulia gets some big updates before a fully electric version is due in the next couple years. The #Quadrifoglio still has a #Ferrari derived 2.9L twin-turbo V6 under the hood, while the chassis and handling of the latest #Giulia are still world class.

Happy Monday everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. You'll have to excuse the state of Sofyan's voice in this video. He was on the road all last week and at the tail end of a cold. The show must go on though! Hope you all stay well and healthy and enjoy the rest of your week! :)
Those are cross drilled brake rotors, not slotted.
Awww, we appreciate your work-ethic Soyfian! Please focus on your health and get some rest. 🙏❤️
Hey sofyan where did you get your jacket?
How does the mechanical differential compare to the outgoing ediff?
Oh ok hope you’re getting better
My Giulia QV is just over 7 years old now and still a blast to drive! Yes it’s been very reliable too.
How many miles have you put on it?
Probably less than 30k lol
2 German garbage owners there
@@S3v3n13tt3r5 16k since it’s not my daily, but they are harder driven kms.
@@kennyphun1946 Sure, it's common for BMW M3s to be driven for 100k+ miles. No it's not. These are "toys", not daily transportation
Lots of comments here poking fun at Alfa quality and reliability. These had electrical issues in the early model years, but since 2019 have been ridiculously solid/reliable vehicles. I have a 2019 that's had 0 service issues. The powertrain, even from early versions, has proven very reliable as well.
It's been more reliable than any BMW I've ever owned.
It's even better after 2020 mild update, reliability issues greatly improved and they also added port injection to rectify any potential issues with carbon build up
Comments like that are just the thing to do for damn near every manufacturer. Everyone just parrots everyone else's comments, and they all go back to issues from decades ago, nothing current.
Yeah. If you look at reliability ratings for them over the past few years, they sit right there with all the other big names like BMW and Merc.
@@greg5143 BMW and Mercedes are among the worst rated in terms of reliability lol
@@nathanmjackson1210😂😂😂 idk what the hell he thought making that comment
Met one of these today. I stopped on the pavement as it rolled out of a street garage. Didn’t know what it was, but could see it was an Alfa. The owner parked up and gave me the low down. Wow I’ve fallen in love!! Never could afford one so the nice man made my day!
Kinda off topic, but I think it's wild that this monster of a car with twin turbo V6 and 500hp gets the same MPGs as a WRX 😅
subaru boxer engines are crap
Or it gets roughly the same mpg as a mustang GT or Camaro SS....
Hey, don’t bully me like that😢
@@hassyg4083tell me about it. I had an 09 impreza blow two head gaskets.
I can easily get about 20 miles to the gallon on the highway it’s 70 miles an hour eighth gear. It’s the city stoplight driving that ruined the mileage on this car.
Sofyan I have been watching your reviews for years, so long I can tell you pull of yet another amazing review even though you were clearly not feeling well. You are the chest code of automotive reviewers and I pray you feel better soon. Thank you.
What a beauty. I got the 2.0 Giulia and I love everything about it. I have a 2020 and it’s been reliable as heck, just standard maintenance. I initially was shopping around for a 3 series vs a Giulia. After test drives and the fact that at every corner there’s a 3 series, I chose the better handling, more unique on the road Giulia. If I didn’t have a baby on the way 9 months ago I would’ve saved for a Quadrifoglio. Maybe next time!
Say it with me class, how many miles does it have? Last guy said he had one for 7 years and "it's been reliable" but he only had 16k miles.
@@TheRealCatof Good question. There is nothing to support these cars being reliable.
@@TheRealCatof Say it with me, if you dont want one then dont buy it. Otherwise shut up.

5.5 years and 42k miles in my Giulia Veloce, and it's been flawless. I still look back at it every time I walk away from it.
@@joevelte4252 42k miles is not a lot of miles lol...
Stellar design and execution. Giulia had always been an attractive sedan with perfect proportions. I do feel however, that it's missing an AWD option for the top performance trim.
best driving luxury sports sedan ever made. Being the best looking too is just the cherry on top. Masterpiece.
Better than the Merc AMG GT 63S? Or the Lexus GS F? Or the BMW M5?
@@rebeltvr6046 those are all way too big and heavy. Even the Giulia is bigger and heavier than I would like. The Giulia’s steering and nimble chassis dynamics blows those cars away.
@@jjchockey I like the Guilia too. Brilliant car.
@@rebeltvr6046sold my 2019 (f90) M5 and bought the 2020 Quadrifoglio and as a drivers car there’s literally no contest the Alfa is different league.
Never missed a beat and cheap servicing, I only got 17mpg though. Sold it now and miss it every day.
BMW was amazing but it’s no sports car. More comfortable on longer runs due to the seats but had a horrible habit of wandering about at speed whereas the alfa has trick underbody airflow vanes and is rock solid at any speed.
lol….. you need reality check bro , this car will never gonna be on same level as the Germans 😂
Glad you dropped this. I just rewatched the old video
I've got a 2020 Giulia Quadrifoglio in Alfa Rosso tricolor competizone. I will be keeping it for decades.
MY QV is a 2018. I am the original owner. Car currently has 56K miles. No engine issues at all. The following are my issues: 1) dashboard was replaced as the leather pulled away from the speakers. Happened at 40K and was covered under warranty. 2) Corsa tires are great when it is 80+ degrees and dry. Under 50 degrees they are hockey pucks. I daily the car and use winters tires from October -March. With that said I have gone through 3 sets of tires totaling about 5K with labor and tax. 3) Maintenance is expensive. However, I knew that going in. Watch out for the accessorial drive belt which needs changing every 35-40K miles (max 4 years if mileage isn't hit). This service averages 3K. 4) Lastly, the HK audio will rattle and vibrate the speakers depending on the settings above 20 on the volume. I absolutely love the car. However, given the maintenance costs I would say if you can't buy it new you shouldn't buy it used.
Yes. My subwoofer is now toast. I've seen someone on the forums hook up a very similar but more powerful one. I'm going to have to look into that. And my timing case gasket is seeping oil slowly. Gonna have to do that too.
Service is 3 k a year or how long is it?
@@andy500w The drive belt service which is due every 3-4 years or 36000 miles is 2-3K per service
@@styleew1 but Overall is the car extremly expensive or unrealiable?is it worth it
@@andy500w The car has been extremely reliable. However, I am the original owner and performed all the maintenance intervals. I have two sets of wheels. One with summer and one with winter tires. I have replaced the rear winters two times in 5 years for a cost of about $950 installed each time. The summer rears have been replaced two times for about $1K each time with the OEM Pirellis. The original front summers have been replaced once for $950. Total tire cost over 5 years is roughly $4,850. Drive belt with oil change at 36K miles was 2.5K. Average yearly oil change is about $750 per year. Spark plugs require replacement every 30K and cost about 1K. All together I estimate I have paid about 12K over 5 years for tires a maintenance or about $200 per month for maintenance. In regards to whether the car is worth it......YES. They are fast, good looking, great handling, and rare. You never see these cars on the road. However, like anything, the novelty can wear off real quickly if the expense of owning it becomes a problem. Rather than enjoying car, it will become a reminder of a bad decision. For me, I am extremely happy with my decision. I really feel badly for those who passed on this car. The Giulia QV will most likely be the last ICE engine from Alfa ever. I am thankful I took the jump. I suspect this car will be highly coveted by collectors in the next 20 years.
That's a gorgeous color.
Agreed. How does the green compare to the green on a Porsche?
Toyota/Lexus green is 10x better
Hope youre feeling well sofyan! Enjoyed it
Love your style of reviews very detailed and informative also props to the cameraman 👍
The Giulia looks better than all its competition still and is a cool brand. Also the interior screen is not tacked on to the dash like on BMW and its compactness makes it better to drive. The fact it was developed by ex Ferrari engineers and uses a Ferrari developed engine makes it for me a bargain and very different in personality to any German car or BMW in the way it drives. A person wanting a drivers car with passion would choose this. For the best media and hi tech gadgets then maybe a German car would be better.
Seeing the joy on your face during the driving reminds me how special my Giulia Quadrifoglio really is. Very nice review as usual as well!!!
That's because he doesn't own it.
Just about everyone that's tested the Giulias and Stelvios has had a huge grin. That's because the cars have a soul and they feel it.
@@merlin51h84 They had a grin because they didn't need to own one, so when it fell apart at 10k miles it wouldn't be their problem.
@@TheRealCatofMy alfa had been a blast! Amazing car. My veloce has been going on for a while and is probably the best daily ive driven
I always appreciate your honest, thorough reviews. Keep up the great work.🇮🇹🇮🇹👍
That Giulia Quadrifoglio is a beauty ~~ it’s been out for a few years now but it has aged beautifully and that V6 is just a masterpiece of an engine 👏👏 there is a very rare Giulia GTA that is truly a track car with even more power so hopefully that can come to North America soon. Also Sofyan, feel better, and kudos to you for filming this review with that cold that you had
The back looks like a Nissan Maxima, and the grill makes it look like a M3 G80 knock off
But, but G80 its 2020 and Giulia its 2015 ✋🎤
I’m five years into mine. No issues other than warped rotors which is wear and tear. Love that green color too!!
Hope you feel better bro! Great reveiw🙌

Thank you Justin for your presentation.
That green is insane
I have a 21 Giulia in Verde Visconti and i looove this vehicle. I have never driven anything better
i love this car , such a gorgeous car and an amazing car. didnt even need to watch the vid and already know its gonna be good, and it sounds way better than the m3 and m4, and the interior is a big step up from the previous gulia, much better and on par with the germans, well done alfa
Much better?interior? Didn ' t think so.Kinda remind me of BMW
thanks for the great videos and great car reviews!!! but please get some rest we can wait for you to get 100% back to health 🙂
Awesome review.
That is one beautiful sports sedan 😍
I drove past one of these yesterday in green with yellow brake callipers. Might be one of the best looking cars i've ever seen.
Such a beautiful car. Really humbles the germans at bmw in my opinion. I love bmw but this is just wow
It looks like a Nissan Maxima to me, but that's just my opinion.
I agree, it’s original design was a classic and it probably will be at least this Quadrafoligio.
It’s funny seeing him drive on this track as I’ve walked it a bunch while at the cars and coffee events M1 has from April to October.
Come on guys! Lets get this channel 12k more subscribers to get to a million. Totally deserve it and that Alfa is beautiful!
Great video! Love my 2022 Stelvio QV. I went with the Stelvio for a second time, (first was a 2019 QV, traded it for a BMW M2 Comp, to later realize the Alfa was so much better in handling and FEEL!) but went with the Stelvio again over the Giulia because of the AWD. For a car with this much unbridled power, the AWD system serves me well. This one I will not be trading, certainly a collectors item as the world “tries” to move away from ICE.
Yes an all wheel drive option should be offered on the Giulia.
Alfa Romeo the creator and pioneer of the sports saloon! the original the authentic the best!
i keeping saving maybe next year i should be ready to buy one!
Hope you had fun on the track! Super jealous
One of the best looking sedans of the past 20-30 years
Nice redline
This is the spec to get! Especially with that color and those wheels!
Video quality 🔥
I have one too in Montreal green and I say it makes u giggle like a little kid.
Always digging the vans game ;). Before cars, skate or Bmx?
I currently designing one and I was told I will have it in 5 months. I cannot wait.
Absolutely stunning car in all aspects.
This car is absolutely gorgeous. Unfortunately there is no space for a licence plate on the front, so here in Europe it’s put on the right side on the front. Really ruins the looks imo, especially here in NL where the plates are yellow.
Love the blue one😮😮
As much as i like the Quadrifoglio, the wheels to body ratio is off. It needs 20inch and much more color options/caliper color options/rim options/interior color options and finishes/ ... it really is missing all of that. I truly miss rosso competizione.
That's tough to ask from such a low volume car. Thankfully for me that green is all I need.
The Guilia is unique and I’d have her as I don’t see terribly many of them on the road. All wheel would certainly seal the deal but still I’d say this car is in a league of its own.
The Alfa Guilia QV is so F-ing good, BMW,Honda and a few other automotive thieves copied the Alfa's QV's Spoiler . Thieves.
This car is absolutely gorgeous. I love how it doesn' really scream luxury except for those who know what it is, unlike AMGs an such. The downside is, having so little tech on the inside, what it has is pretty outdated. If they had updated that screen, made it a tad bigger and with the new/faster systems this would be a no brainer.
Beautiful!
When will they be available such as the green color? Searched it up and seen 0 available
OMG, that color!
Gorgeous car! I still prefer 159 headlights tho, its just a timeless design.
This car is a beast!! The 2.0 models can be pretty fun too
Best review I've seen of the QV
I'm about to buy it, but now I'm in doubt wit the M4
What a stunningly beautiful car ❤
Thank you Sofyan
His usual camera guy definitely did not shoot this. What a mess. Fantastic car.
😮 that does sound badass
Nice review but i noticed u first said Alfa was going full electric by 2025 then later in the video switched it to 2027 so which one is it?
Great video. Nice to come across a creator that can pronounce the car correctly and not turn the video into a cringe fest.
The color and the rims 😍
Perfect to look at while you wait for a tow truck!

More reliable than any other car I have owned in my 50 years of motoring. 62000 km so far, only a defect solenoid valve which was changed under guarantee period. My 2018 MY Giulia Q is not my daily thought, more of a weekend and vacation car. A Tonale Veloce PEHV does the daily needs. 5:38 one of those swingers lol
it is beautiful. love the green colour.
Love that color.
Having a 2021 Quad at 32,000 miles, I can say electrical issues on the Quadrifolgio persists, but there is an easy solution: Swapped out the OEM battery to an AGM H8 battery, and the electrical gremlins instantly went away.
No issues since. Beware though, at 36k miles, spark plugs and Auxiliary timing belt is recommended to be replaced, and then again at 70k.
Needless to say, if you're not in an industry that makes middle class or above income, do not get this car.
Is it the best driving sports sedan? I don't know, I've never driven an M3, but every morning I prefer to take the Quad to work instead of the C8 Corvette.
Beautiful
He sounds sick
Absolutely gorgeous 😍😍😍
Yes indeed
I loved everything about this car except for the lack of a sunroof, a head-up display, a decent rear camera, and an infotainment system.
The sport kit looks amazing on this model, which unfortunately, base models don’t have.
The Giulia seat hits your nuts when getting in, the rear roof hits your head when getting in, the radio and screen menu is a nightmare.
You don't sound like you're feelin to well brosef.... I'da pushed through it for some time with this car on a track too lol
19:40 at this minute you’ve mentioned alfa going electric on 2027, but in opening u’ve mentioned on 2025, which one is correct..?..
The exposed carbon fiber package only applies/refers to the roof. Everything else is standard with the QV
Yeah. I wonder if he got confused because there is a super limited Carbon Edition for the 24 MY in the US. But that wasn't it.
How do they get that sound with turbos?
Imagine that Alfa would have the successor to 166...and with a V8...more space and option to have color interior amd seat ventilation...and other things...that would be crazy good 😎
Pretty shocking that this moster of an engine gets better mpg than the new wrx
Nice review but how can you drive the QV on a track and NOT use the paddle shifters?
Nice video! Funny enough I drove a manual Q (2017) today - loved it! Cannot understand why it got bad reps, totally normal gearbox with good feel, incl. some cool tricks. Maaaaybe the knob itself could be slightly smaller, thats it.. Prob the ”youtube-community” rather badmouth than whine about not getting it?
What I don’t like is the un-tiltable seats, altho you could add spacers at the front mounts I guess. Much like older rwd Alfa’s like the 75, the seat cushions seem too horisontal.
I don’t agree whatsoever that this is an M3 killer, but the way you presented the car was top notch. Subscribed. 👍🏽
Love to read or see a comparison to the Blackwing CT4-V.
Pure 4 door perfection
My 2018 is a joy--I feel that the people who designed and built it were joyful: Infotainment screen when horsing around in auto: "use manual for better performance"!! cf my Kia telluride: "close windows for better gas mileage" --My first Giulia was a 1965---I drove it all over the Peruvian Andes. My Giulias have been ultra-reliable as well. Wonderfull autos. Andrew H. Gantt II
What part of PA Redline?!
I think the interior needs a more radical update and we need a mid-tier variant priced in-between the base and quadrafolio to really see more sales.
The Guila Veloce is just that, in between the Quadrafoglio and the base model;, 280hp. I think it's priced in the low 50s.
Nice review, you should've put it in manual and had a bit of paddle action.
May I know if that’s a stock exhaust? Or upgraded one with extra?
Stock exhaust given its chrome exhaust tips. In Europe there's the optional Akrapovic with carbon tips.
Giulia QV is really awesome!
Can you tell where we can test drive this car?
wow the Alfa Romeo has been in production quite some time still looks good, at least with this refresh they have visible improvements like the headlamps meanwhile 2024 Infiniti q50: new black paint!
Dang, you think this looks good? The back looks like a Nissan Maxima, and the front looks like a BMW (not in a good way)
@@TheRealCatof the front end looks better than the bmw m3 or m4
It’s not Ferrari powered. It’s a Stellantis. It’s a 90 degrees V6. The Ferrari V6 is 120 degrees and makes another 150 hp.
My second one absolutly a great car you wont be dissapointed.
Is your cameraman an illegal alien?
I think Alfa is going to get a lot more sales in the next few years.
While BMW keeps ruining their designs, Alfa keeps making beautiful cars, with legitimate performance.
Lol……. When was the last time you checked sales numbers?? Bmw vs Alfa?
Alfa makes sexy sedans but im nervous about that Ferrari derived v6 maintenance. On the other hand...sounds like you NEED a day off.
