One of the finest sports sedans ever. 50/50 weight distribution, Ferrari derived engine, carbon fiber active splitter and drive shaft, hood, trunk and roof, come on bro. Complaining about your huge Yeti not fitting in cup holders! Not to mention the seductive Italian design that looks like nothing on the road. I’ve owned 3 QV, and 10 other Alfas and all the German stuff. Alfa ALL THE WAY. You don’t mention the best in class breaking, 0-60, it beat all the Germans on the Nuremberg!
I've owned a Giulia QV for 16 months now, in Verde Montreal. What I can say is, the dealer has been super great about anything I've asked, it's been reliable with the use of a trickle charger and you will get a ton of stares and questions, especially in the green.
@sai-pc5fl The car is at 15,600 miles. My high pressure fuel pump fried, but I blame this on myself and letting fuel level get low and also ripping. Other than that it's been great and I've taken quite a few long road trips. My opinion is most issues are due to people not keeping the car on a charger and the mass of ecu's the car has, freak out.
i’m in the market for a new sports sedan. a 24’ verde montreal qv just hit my local dealer. really thinking about pulling the trigger? how livable is the car? does it get attention?
I’ve always had a soft spot for the Giulia Quadrifoglio. I take it over in F80 M3 any day. That color is also stunning. Huge congrats on your new Demon 170
It’s a smart move, he has the demon 170, he gets cars to review weekly/daily so he doesn’t need two cars he barely uses. He could do without one and keep the demon 170 as an investment car
I'd take this over an M3, the Giulia is such a good looking sedan, there's one thing Italians always get right with their cars and that's the exterior design and it looks great in that green color, the current M3 design is just kinda bland.

6:15 - The lurching problem is twofold. Firstly, this car is brake by wire and in my opinion is not very well tuned and difficult to drive smoothly in stop and go. Second, the torque converter will decouple itself from the engine while at a full stop to save some fuel while idling. Once you're off the brake, it re-engages which is what causes the lurching. Amazing cars to drive, but they aren't the most refined.
You're wanting to sound authoritative, when you aren't. There is no decoupling and even if there is, it would be in efficiency mode. Anyone complaining about brakes is clutching at straws.
I agree with the above comments about braking. I also think the high idle speed is also partly to blame. To overcome this on my QV I select neutral when approaching a stop light/sign by pulling on both paddles simultaneously to select Neutral. I find this helps coming to a smooth stop. I didn’t have this issue on my previous Audi or BMW (which also had a lower idle speed). However this is a small price to pay give the size of the smile when you drive the QV like you stole it!😊
Had it had two-tone dash, green seat belts and white and green stitching... it would have been prefect. As shown, it's 99.9% perfect. Congratulations 🎉
Hey Miles, I wonder what’s your opinion for how the Giulia QV compares to M3 G80 pleasure wise(mainly about how much feedback it gives). Having a hard time deciding between those two, my local dealer doesn’t have a quadrifoglio for test drive. Appreciate your videos!
The locking torque converter locks all the way down. It is quite efficient and kicks on the shifts. Love it. Question… would you rather own the demon or the Giulia?
This looks super fun. I only wouldn’t take it over a German option because I need the AWD. But if I lived somewhere without snow, I would totally go for this one, and love it in green
Hi, Giulia is one of the most beautiful Italian cars for me. I love, how it looks 💚 And I would really like, if you could also try out to live with other European non-German sedans, like Jag xF/xJ, Volvo S60/S90, and other more executive sedans, like Bentley Continental Flying Spur. But it's a shame, you don't have more French brands in the US/CA... I think, you would like that beautiful Peugeot 508, or Ds9. J
im lucky enough to have been able to spend a considerable amount of time in the m3 and only a little bit of time in one of these beauties and without a doubt i would take the alpha or a ct4v blackwing over the m3/m4 both exterior design and general driving characteristics. + the 6 speed manual of the ct4 make me way happier than the m3

However, if I may Miles, it feels like we were deprived of enjoying more Giulia QV content with the inclusion of Charlie and your Demon 170 segment. If a passenger is to be included, I/we always prefer your wife's input versus anyone else. In fact, both our wives echo a lot of the same sentiment. It's how I got my wife to start watching these videos with me. Not to mention, they both have the same infectiously positive and boisterous personality. The perfect symbiosis for a curmudgeon like me. Nevertheless, I came here for the rarity that pertains to the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio content. Especially those filmed in the US. Although, please do not get me wrong my friend. I am _thoroughly_ happy for you and your new acquisition. With that being said, perhaps you could revisit this drive once more with some ASMR videos. Both during the day and at night. Especially the latter. Please and thank you. Stay classy my friend.
Driven once on the track, the car feels more balanced than my f80 m3. Definitely a good driver's car. Too bad it's extremely unreliable, the car spent half it's time in the shop and finally got sold under 25000 miles. At this point it's a deal breaker to me, otherwise definitely take this over f80.
It's not unreliable, the early ones were. Things and times have moved on, with Alfa even increasing the duration of its warranty in many world markets.
Capless fueling lol my mom's 2019 Ram has that... she had a check light for that 3x since new, had it replaced... meanwhile I just replaced the original fuel cap on my 2004 Dakota.. no EVAP code anymore
Hey man, I am lucky enough to be able to afford a Giulia Quad, but I am also strangely interested in a Toyota GR86/Subaru BRZ. Now those two are completely different cars and categories, but they have one thing in common: all drivers in reviews that I saw claimed, that it is huge fun to drive both of them. And that is also my main goal, I want to have fun driving my car and I wonder what your opinion is on this one since you reviewed both of them. I am planning to test drive them, but it might take some time to find them because both became quite rare in my country. So what are your thoughts on this? would highly appreciate if you could give me a short feedback.

Insane as it sounds, I am cross shopping this and the CT5-V BW. Yes, they aren’t direct competition, but I am torn as I love the looks, sound, and the general reviews on the Alfa; however, I do have the ability to splurge and get the Caddy, mostly for the engine and manual transmission. Would you say the Cadillac is worth the premium?

Well the important thing to know is that it's NOT because there's anything wrong with the Blackwing. It's still the best sedan I've ever driven. It's really just because of financial constraints.
