Love this. This is something I started doing when I first made beats and then I started working with like “classically trained” dudes and they told me to stop. Got a little validation from this
That sample is fire bro. I can't lie your videos are really inspiring me to get into beat making. It's something i've wanted to do for a long time now. I appreciate all of your time your putting into these videos man.
You have no idea how deep this one hits, thank you so much for taking the time and sharing your input with me and I’m glad this sparks up the creativity side in you. Nothing but love and blessings to you brother.
I Can't Understand Why AKAI Hasn't Reached Out to Him To Create A Barcode To Place on The Inside Of Any MPC LIVE 2 And Or MPC One's BOX, This Way We Won't Be Wasting A Whole Lot Of Time On Getting Stuck. HIRE HIM ALREADY AKAI PRODUCTION PEOPLE. He's Earned It.
Yo Kirk, I appreciate you brother. This really means a lot coming from you. This method definitely is a hit or miss at times but I really enjoy using the MPC filter from the program, editor and find it been a bit more forgiving when filtering out certain Samples.
Amazing videos / tutorials! Got me a MPC X a few months back and I'm still learning a lot! Your vids really help me out bro! Big up from Munich, Germany
Dude, seriously canNOT get enough of your videos. Please continue to just be you! Love them!! Question about the MPC Live2 Could you do a video about how build a "live set"? Launching clips, scenes, transitions, playing with channel and global FX....? Basically I am coming to Ableton Live + Push 2....and wanna get away from the laptop and go "dawless-ish" But performing a full set, let's say a 1 hour long set of 5 to 6 pre-produced tracks, is something that would be important for me....(not just producing) I have no seen that many videos, of people showing off the "live perforce full set capabilities" of the MPC Live2.... That would be amazingly informative and helpful (sorry if you have already done this, in another video) 🙏🏽🫶
Thanks for this video. It was very clear, just the end with the "empty" pad to cut the bass wasn't very clear for me. you can use any "empty" pad to do that ? This MPC contains so many tools, so many ways to do things it's hard to remember everything. So i can see your video twice or three times, it's still useful. I got to go try to rec music on my MPC. Take Care !
Dope technique and well explained. For some reason I can't filter envelope on some of my recent beats but for the one that worked. This was fire thank you!
Thanxz man!, this is very dope!! I’ve really learned a lot from all the videos you have posted. This video was exactly what I was looking for. Your sample packs are awesome as well!!
Are you using that ' Time Lapse Stretch " thing ? There's a new Time Machine plugin coming soon to beat Elastic Thump . Akai's Amazing Humanize features are all cool -- amma bounce to it later .
@@malobeats was there a reason to copy the track from the grid editor or can it be copied from the main page via the pencil icon on track... thanks for all your great work
Great video👍 …..can you make a video about keygroups and one shots? Like how do you adjust the adsr and the difference between oneshot, note on and note off.
Hey man, thank you so much for taking the time and shooting this information out to me. This is definitely something that I would keep in mind and most likely I’ll do a video on this. Again, thank you so much for taking the time brother.
I keep learning!! question , do you got a video or advice on a correct way of sampling live instruments into the mpc live 2 ? And is there a recommended external device I should plug instruments into then plug that in the mpc ?
The program RipX is probably the best at splicing drums from basslines vocals and melodies. If you want to take a bass sample to chop this can be a great tool. First 30 days free ;) Takes a little more time as you have to run the sample into your CPU to use RipX (or Rx) and then back into your MPC. But the splicing method means you keep those higher frequencies of the bassline as a complete thing. Using filters alone you lose some of the original bass sound as you filter away ...just depends what you want
From the sample pool, you can press and hold one of the sample names and you will have an option to hit delete and you could also purge all unused samples

Once again my man’s Malo taught me something new. I would always go straight to LP Filters but never really seemed right. Your method is much better

Is there a way to set a loop on the sequencer so a section can be played back over and over while working on a section of the project?

Yo bro do u have any videos on how to use air pitcher ?
do you have a workshop about mpc live 2 ?
Dope
For some reason I can't select all the samples in the program. I can only add filters to individual programs. I know I'm missing something.

I can hear MOP on that

Same thing SkiBeats did with “Dead Presidents” for Jay.
how do you delete or remove samples from the sample pool
From the sample pool, you can press and hold one of the sample names and you will have an option to hit delete and you could also purge all unused samples
