Love this! Just what I needed for recovery after surgery. One can work on strength but I have found that the balance question is what is needed for learning to walk again. It gives one more security/confidence. Thank you.❤
Thank you so much for these balance poses, and would grade myself with a "c." I'm looking forward to being better balanced doing these!
I’m 66 and have amazing balance! I’m a physical therapist though and am balance certified.
congrats! You flipping nailed it!! Completely possible isn’t it?
@@Flipping50TV girl!!! Anything is possible! Keep teaching folks how to retain and gain balance and not fall and prevent horrific injuries. Improved balance lets you do more things easier and walk better.
So important! Balance and core strength is something I have been concerned about as I age. I’m 66. I’d give myself a B or B-. I had trouble w the first and last exercises and will add these 8! 😊Thank you, Debra!
This is great! I can’t wait to do the test and start incorporating these functional exercises into my workouts! Thanks!
Thanks for this workout I am always trying to improve my balance.I am a sailor so balance very important when moving around the boat
Thank you SO MUCH for this video! I have been trying to work on my balance (with the one leg teeth brushing, lol) and am so glad to have this instruction. I am amazed at how much work I need!
How many times a week would you incorporate this balance work?
A little balance daily is great.... inserted in a warm up or cool down, with yoga or just a few minutes while brushing teeth or in line at the store.
My balance is poor right now. According to my experience and in my case and in winter I usually lose strength. My balance declines. In spring I usually raise my "parameters". I exercise more, I gain more strength, and lighting positively affects my emotions, which are closely linked to my physical fitness. At the end of winter I feel more like dieting and taking better care of myself in general. I'm not going to overexert myself until spring. I will do my best but letting my brain and mind work with the normal healthy winter rhythm (hibernating a little like a polar bear). I will dedicate 30 minutes to do the exercises since I am "tough." Thank you! It makes a lot of sense!.
Interesting approach.. I’d measure that muscle and strength in order not to lose it . The risk is you lose each season and as you get older it’s harder to regain so you’re leaning into something that will without adequate activity but that doesn’t have to happen with aging
Great exercises - I would suggest doing them barefoot or with a shoe with a very thin sole. A very cushioned shoe will add to the instabilitet I think.
That’s advanced. Yes. But starting would be with shoes . Surface is a manipulation to make after you’ve done these with stable base.
