It's being quite underrated so far, sadly.
Absolutely bloomin loved 'Thinking About Things' last year, and for me it was the winner - just ahead of The Roop and Victoria and I was a little worried Daði wouldn't be able to come up with something better for this year. Having watched and listened to loads of other stuff on youtube, its clear this is a very clever guy who can develop his own style as well as cross genres. Literally everything is crammed into '10 Years', and it really shouldnt work but it does. Everytime I hear this track I hear something completely different in it. Its also really refreshing to hear a song about a long relationship and commitment. Not sure if its a winner but its definately up there with my favourites and pleased to see the team so enthusiastic about it. Nice one.
And he just released Feel the Love ft Ásdís which is a winner if it were in Eurovision. I was like 'oh, boy that was your chance' but then this 10 years groovy song appears, happy, made for radio, clubs and parties. But Feel the Love is a stellar, groovy song.
His Billie Eilish, Sting, Lil Nas X and Cher covers show how genial a musician he is.
Iceland, oh my God. Love it, love it, love it. God job Dati, great song, sound. CONGRATULATIONS. You are winners for me. All make sense, Dadi's voice, special sound, lyrics. Finally something so good. All the best and luck for Dadi as autor in future.

I so hope they win. There are a lot of good entries this year! But I really really want Iceland to Win. The group's just too good and deserves the attention. The song is also the one I return to most frequently (My 2nd and 3rd most listened to are actually the UK and Germany... that doesn't translate to me thinking they'll come in high though)
I think that there is a complete difference between songs that are great in the contest but that aren't songs that you will continue to listen to long term. UK, Spain, Switzerland, Iceland and a few more I will play a lot whereas Ukraine and Moldova, for example, will be great performances but probably not something that I will continue to listen to.

Even though this song has a loving message, I think last year's song is much better
I wasn't a huge fan of their song last year and feel this year it's a bit slower, and of course the surprise factor is gone. For me, this is a song to play in the car driving a long road... meaning, it's good enough, but not great. Final? yes, winner? meh. top 10 maybe but that's it.
