In Austria they are doing a little Eurovision Song Contest, where people that competed in the song contest rate all the songs for this year and this song is number one right now. I mean obviously :))
I have a difficult relationship with my parents and it's really heartwarming to hear a song about a parent being thrilled about learning their child's unique thoughts rather than shutting them down.
I made sure this was the first song my baby heard and hears it on the regular (now 2). He seems more into drum n bass music but I want him to know the lyrics of this song are true. He's already the funniest and most generous person I have ever met.
@@KateHornby That's so beautiful. I think the world will be a happier place when it's filled with people who have been raised with such love and respect, as opposed to some "traditional" methods involving fear and unquestioning obedience.
It's obviously important to be present for your kids. You're trying to default to "the child is correct" which is an overreaction you're having, and quite nonsensical.
Awsome. This is what I thought 9 months when I was pregnant and always found: Come oooouuuut, please, let's meet and talk and find out, who you are and what you think about my world. And we found out and are surprised each and every new day for 15 years now.
First time I saw this: Huh. Quirky. Second time: Okay, it's a little catchy. Third time: This is now my jam. Got a bit of a Napolean Dynamite vibe going on. Love from Canada!
"Baby, I can't wait to know what do you think about things" being about an actual baby is actually so heartwarming, and also a bit genius because usually "baby" is for romantic songs but no, this is literally a baby who can't even speak or think beyond their most basic needs
Certain lyrics make more sense now I know the context. "You are yet to learn how to speak"... because the subject is a baby. And "three birds of a feather" include both parents 😊
I could listen to the "When we first met, I will never forget, cause even though i didn't know you yet." part of the song over and over and over again.
What a heart-warming message; powerful emotions towards how every father should feel about interacting with their newborn child - beautiful. Definitely need more composers like these guys.

This is the HAPPIEST ACCIDENT I have ever made. Not sure how I found this but it is PURE gold! Not only do I love how goofy it is but, I honestly love this song and would like to hear it on the radio.
Denver picked this song up a couple weeks ago on one of our stations! I've been in love with this song ever since.
Lmao it has been on the radio, it's got 15 million veiws
I feel the same!! I stumbled upon this tonight because I found his video of JA Ja Ding Dong and this literally made me smile so much
LOOK up live performance at the Eurovision..Incredible..So So good
I actually found this on spotify. It randomly played and I fell in love with it the first time I listened
I don't care what happened, this is the winner of eurovision 2020
No, they aren’t
either this or russia imo
Someone counted all televised from the smaller contests held by some countries and I believe Iceland won.
Lithuania says hi
what happened??
When you learn the lyrics, it's actually quite a touching song about a parent excited to talk to their baby child.
I thought it was a love story ...
@@MrMedu7 There should be love between parents and their children. ;)
Yes, it's about his firstborn who is somewhere around 9-10 months by now. The short curly haired girl is the mom.
So is it basically the 2020 version of Save Your Kisses for Me?
I heard his sister was also in the band. Does anyone know which one she is?
Still an absolute amazing song and a very deserved place in eurovision history.
Do you know what language that is?
@@GodofPainBelial What?
Did you just ask me in english what language this english song is in?
Or are you asking which country the guy representing island is from.
I just found out this song is him and his wife singing about their newborn daughter and now I'm crying
Try to comment on one of my videos
Omg wait that’s so cute
I thought this was some corny love song, but now it's 100% better.
i watched BIgNightIn it was amazing but i love russia better sorrry
I know, it's adorable!!! When I first listened, I thought the line 'but you are yet to learn how to speak' was really creepy and odd. But in the context of him singing to his LITERAL baby, it became very cute. 12 points from Australia!!
This was going to be a definite winner, and that's coming from me in UK. Such a shame it got cancelled. I'm playing this on repeat
I was routing for Iceland as well. As this became a such a bop.
It was voted the best in Norway. It's just so catchy
Best Eurovision song ever
@Dread Bad Iceland happened to be the fan favourite in most countries
I’m U.K. too and I’m obsessed with the song! Such a great song!
If the Eurovision wasn’t cancelled this year Iceland would’ve won, without a doubt. This is such a bop, you can’t even deny that. Love from Ireland 💚🤍🧡
No one special ayyy love from Ireland too x
Honestly I really think Russia would have won, they send little big
You know when even IRELAND thinks this song is better than them in EuroVision
1000 subscribers with no effort challenge | I’m pretty sure no one in Ireland has actually *liked* one of our songs since the eighties. We’ve pretty much given up, remember when we literally submitted a puppet as our entry? Yeah, well we try our best not to 😂😂
Yeah all we got were some gay lads and shittie songs lol
Me and my parents were introduced to dadi freyr when we were listening to music on RUclips and came across this masterpiece in 2020. Now we are going to his concert and we listen to him so much as a family in 2022. This beautiful music gave me and my family something to bond over. Thank yoy

This is not a song, this is a masterpiece that celebrates love, life, laught and good positive vibes! Period
I love it. I wonder how did this family react, once they saw Hatari.
Güliz lol. Not well I’m guessing. Maybe they were the juries
That's when they built their family bunker.
@@spiritualinsightshd this comment is so funny. 😁😁😁

🤣🤣🤣
Still and always such a pure feel good vibe. Never fails to put a smile to my face.
Them covering the kids' faces because of the casual moving of hips is still one of the best parts of this video. Daði, your aesthetic is perfect and I hope you never change.
That was so funny and made them even more likeable 😂😁
In Austria they are doing a little Eurovision Song Contest, where people that competed in the song contest rate all the songs for this year and this song is number one right now. I mean obviously :))
Des stimmt
Yes, this song is absolutely the Winner of the hearts 🇮🇸❤️
Wellerer than wellst of well deserved! :-)
They won!!! Love this song!!
Der Song hat gestern auch gewonnen
@@chanty2192 What? I literally am not sure what you're on about.
The Icelandic culture is known for being very supportive in their children’s interests; one of the many things I love about the Icelandic people.
Awsome. This is what I thought 9 months when I was pregnant and always found: Come oooouuuut, please, let's meet and talk and find out, who you are and what you think about my world. And we found out and are surprised each and every new day for 15 years now.
Outstanding. The production, the song, the lead singer being comically tall, his voice... (reminds me of hozier)
Eurovision would have been amazing!
First time I saw this: Huh. Quirky.
Second time: Okay, it's a little catchy.
Third time: This is now my jam.
Got a bit of a Napolean Dynamite vibe going on. Love from Canada!
I liked it from the 1st time i heard it...
The first time I heard this it was my jam

This doesn't have the right to be SO GOOD.... I am a merciful God... I'll allow it...
"Baby, I can't wait to know what do you think about things" being about an actual baby is actually so heartwarming, and also a bit genius because usually "baby" is for romantic songs but no, this is literally a baby who can't even speak or think beyond their most basic needs
And it's so cute 🥺
Yup its adorable and perfect!
I like to think it's about a cat or a pet in general 😅
I can't wait to hear what the baby thinks about this thing.
Certain lyrics make more sense now I know the context. "You are yet to learn how to speak"... because the subject is a baby. And "three birds of a feather" include both parents 😊
They may not be performing at Eurovision, but they've made so many people fall in love with this song (myself included)
This is just such a bop
It’s on my playlist 4 ever

If this happens I promise I will watch Eurovision!
I’ll try but i’m only part of thousands but im voting for them this year
I literally live in Iceland
It's going through the finals right now and I gave them 20votes, I just hope others agree with me.
We chose it!
They make being awkward look cool
That's the beauty of the song
no, no they don't
They are so confidently awkward it's like life goals
They only needed 20 people in production to accomplish this, combined with auto-tune & non-functional instruments.
Why does this comment comfort and inspire me so much
I could listen to the "When we first met, I will never forget, cause even though i didn't know you yet." part of the song over and over and over again.
Lol absolutely/

The worst thing about coronavirus is this didn’t get to win Eurovision 2020.
