Almost all of these songs are from the 90s. Many are late 90s like "Waiting For Tonight", "Better Off Alone", "Boom Boom Boom", "Life After Love", Sonique "It Feels So Good" and so on. The only one I'm quite sure is from 2000 or later is ATC "All Around the World". Some stayed relevant into the 2000s, but most were released in the 90s.

The Cher ‘Believe’ song should have significance to Pentatonix. They were supposed to perform that song on the Sing Off but they did Video killed the radio star instead. Look at them almost 9 years later slaying it!!! Love them so so much!!
I am not sure the song would have worked so well without the autotune without totally changing the genre, and they wouldn't have been able to use it on the show. I am VERY happy we got Video Killed the Radio Star, anyway.

Na it was completely different at that time, no homework at McDonalds, no basketball court, and I listened to an Aiwa, not a Sony. Dang I am getting old, not only do I remember music cassettes and walkmans, I even remember phones with a rotary diial instead of keys

Almost all of these songs are from the 90s. Many are late 90s like "Waiting For Tonight", "Better Off Alone", "Boom Boom Boom", "Life After Love", Sonique "It Feels So Good" and so on. The only one I'm quite sure is from 2000 or later is ATC "All Around the World". Some stayed relevant into the 2000s, but most were released in the 90s.

The Cher ‘Believe’ song should have significance to Pentatonix. They were supposed to perform that song on the Sing Off but they did Video killed the radio star instead. Look at them almost 9 years later slaying it!!! Love them so so much!!

I am not sure the song would have worked so well without the autotune without totally changing the genre, and they wouldn't have been able to use it on the show. I am VERY happy we got Video Killed the Radio Star, anyway.

Pentatonix is like MUSICAL MEDICINE and i say "like" medicine because while they don't heal diseases they DO heal the art of music itself. but to sound more mentally stable and less creepy they are just AWESOME performers. Plus they are also a great way to discover songs you haven't heard that are not as well known as other songs.
