Cool to see young folk really into supporting him. So happy he is an American leading a house at LVMH.
Just wish he had didn’t steal so many other ideas from his contemporaries

Why do the people in this video look like they took a time machine from 1986?

You should appreciate a designer for their work regardless of ethnicity. However that’s a massive milestone for an African American to be where he’s at and to say fuck all the stereotypes. Although I don’t agree with him being there, I still hope one day someone who is actually talented at being creative and designing who is of a different ethnicity can reach a point Virgil reached.
Let’s all be honest, LV only chose him because he’s great at marketing and knows the people want. Off-white isn’t anything creative or new, it just is the fuel to the culture who want to buy something expensive and in the scene/culture. His designs are lazy, he discredits the original designers of most of his recognisable logos and clothes. He’s been exposed plenty of times and hasn’t addressed anything, he isn’t humble towards his fans like for example when i met him he was very irritated when I tried to politely bust a convo w/him to talk to him more about his work and he was just hella disrespectful. Even people who I know say the same thing, where as when. I met takashi he was hella humble, generous and sat down and spoke with me. It’s not like Virgil was in a rush, he was casually strolling. I understand everyone needs there personal space but if most people say he’s just a dick head in general then that doesn’t paint a nice picture of him as a human being.
Over all I just don’t think he should be where he is, he is a marketer not a designer... simple as.
    DONT @ ME

juliette dont get me wrong, I like nice quality things. I pay when I see it's worth it in terms of design, material, quality. But LV and every other succesfull designer out there with wearable fashion knows how to sell a brand. A BRAND. Not quality. I wouldn't pay for overpriced LV bag, but I would pay for let say AMcqueen dress. It's very different. Fashion is about expression, not making people stupid. Everything is made just like LUXOTICA does with eyewear. Let's not pretend we are buying quality - cause, you're not.

juliette oh god noooo 😵 I'm just saying - these kids are into fashion for wrong reasons and most of them probably don't have any style but a deep pocket (I mean parents 😅). Cheers! 🙋
