@ernanio this is late, but it's due to that he was accepted. If not, then he would create his own. Nothing wrong with attempting to join that which already exist but, don't rely on the acceptance just do your best and keep moving. So many people there's bound to be someone out there that supports you, which leads to more supporters overtime, rather slow or fast.
He is a refreshing breath of fresh air to a house steeped in tradition. He doesn't need to design fashion. He is a leader and will continue to shape LV and the artisans through his vision.
Vogue China’s Margaret Zhang (Editor-in Chief, Vogue China) and Yiling Pan (Vogue Business China Associate Editorial Director) should be interviewing more people so intelligent and elegant interviewers.
I cannot believe the shallowness of Pharrell's replies. Not a single question was *actually* answered; all ended up being ego-maximising and vague at best. I think part of the role of a creative director is to be honest and mindful of certain shortcomings that come with managing a brand, especially a giant like LV. I was really curious to learn about Pharrell's vision, but this interview made me feel bitter about his appointment at LV.
I had high expectations to learn about his insights… but I agreed with you that the shallowness was not inspiring. Thank you for your honest comments. ✨
At this high altitude of his career .. I think he can’t give away to much ,but I think people need to listen harder and realize his words are actually deeper then what meets the ear 👂. People need to listen with a different sense to understand.
Being a fashion designer chinese culture is great the colors and flow of garments are simply awesome. every one has a different story of there collection which depends on three thing they are 1) nature & culture 2) event 3) celebrity this 3 platfrom where the designer show their creativity. 1) nature & culture allow you to change the concept according like summer outfit cant wear in winter. if some places are very famous or culture also play major role 2) event like sports etc allow to do design to help the crowd make in uniformity . 3) celebrity- if a country has more number of famous celebrity that means the followers will be more arround the world that also play major role in fashion industries
He is a passionate creative stylist...not a designer. Karl Lagerfeld saw something in him , and that says something. Best to him and his take on all the codes of LV, cause that's all we'll be seeing at his tenure at LV.
One of the questions was about how he'd tie the current brand to those of the past, and his response was about conducting a metaphorical orchestra. I root for him and hope he's not in above his head.
Exceptional interviewers, it’s just a pity they didn’t get one answer that made any sense at all. Not mention the disrespect of leaving those ridiculous glasses on. It’s a no for me 🙄
🤷🏻🤔Any artist director of any high fashion brand that has ever existed should know how to sketch, draw and sew a dress, shirt, blouse, suit, jacket, sport coat etc, etc.🧵🪡
Usually the interviewers are asking disappointing questions to bright designers. They were phenomenal interviewers and Pharrell couldn't have been less intelligent with his responses. It is devastating to me that there are so many talented designers who have worked their entire lives that have valuable experiences that have been discarded so someone with absolutely no experience, passion, knowledge, or even a basic understanding of the world to be given such an important title. This last show will be the lowest selling season in decades and quite sad because so many people will be fired for his incompetence.
Frightfully disappointing. Paying homage to Native American culture is a political move which is appreciated however the end product beneath any standard.
Pharrell’s responses to some of the questions is so raw and inspiring! The deeper meaning to everything is 🔥 I love that he recognizes the world doesn’t stop, so why should you?!? The greater purpose to inspire or to create a legacy is amazing. It’s about more than just LV.
they sad thing is that rare are those who will understand 8:02. but those who are aware of that, we gotta spray it around. again and again even if they don' t understand. Guerrier de Lumière.
Me faz lembrar de mim, em meados dos anos 80... sobre uma apresentação de química sobre Petróleo e Muro de Berlim! Nem eu e ninguem4 creio que entederam, rsrsrs. Mas tirei 10?
Interviewer: "What did you have for breakfast?"
Pharrell: "Breakfast can be an amazing concept..."
😂 so on point
Loll 💯
"The detour becomes the main road." - Margaret Zhang. Love that!
Pharrell speaks in codes, if you ain't creative you can't grasp
💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
This.
Thank you
These interviewers are very intelligent.
That’s exactly what I was thinking!
🤣🤣
He could be a politician. He did not really answer any of the questions and just skated around the questions.
“Skated around” I see what you did there 😂
''skated around'' dude lol
@@user-ob9zo9cr4c Skateboard P for a reason 😂
I was JUST thinking this 😂😂
There’s isn’t a hard answer when it comes too art and fashion! So he can’t give a straight answer
Encouraging people of color to grow their own brands they have equity in versus begging for opportunities was beautiful
100% agree
But like then why did he join LV?

source ?
@@jesuscuzz7299ok, so no source :D
you orget that theyre not mass producing majority of items in the collections?
Not vague at all. He's just speaking like a creative. Makes perfect sense to me. Quite profound actually 👏🏽
Exactly. People ar not used ot being challenged to think- and get to the real question they want to ask.
He is a refreshing breath of fresh air to a house steeped in tradition. He doesn't need to design fashion. He is a leader and will continue to shape LV and the artisans through his vision.
These people clearly don’t know Pharrell he’s always been this way, that’s what the spaceman symbol means his head is in the “cloud”
Exactly!!
Ppl are mentioning his vague responses but I just think he's just on another headspace and dimension. Love getting a peak into his world, it's utopian
Exactly!!
Truth.....people who are creative aren't ever going to be generic. He's a music producer (an artist) so he is not going to be "regular".....
Vogue China’s Margaret Zhang (Editor-in Chief, Vogue China) and Yiling Pan (Vogue Business China Associate Editorial Director) should be interviewing more people so intelligent and elegant interviewers.
Also Anna Dello Russo!
Totally agree, I would love to see them both more on this channel
I just saw two Chinese name and checked again that it said Vogue
Wow so inspiring I never knew a level like that was possible. Pharrell is a true inspiration
❤ enjoy listening to him
I totally feel him, everything he said resonates with me and makes sense. He’s an inspiration to me🩷
Same
Pharrell is a genius.. Locked that. He think outside a box. What he doing to the fashion industry is absolutely different.. He made for humans 🔥🔥🔥🙏
Love the chat about creativity and following your dreams.
I really just wanted Pharrell to talk about clothes, and how he approaches design…..
He doesn't approach design! He just signs off! 🤣🤣🤣
It’s obvious he doesn’t really design clothes, he more or less just puts pieces together without a truly central theme
Exactly. Why not start with those type of questions first....
How do I get Pharrell to let me design for him?
He is a multi media person, he is blessed with a platform. Ihope he respects the one who blessed him, with this treasure.
I cannot believe the shallowness of Pharrell's replies. Not a single question was *actually* answered; all ended up being ego-maximising and vague at best. Very boring hostess !
It's not the job to of a creative to explain their vision, it's the job of a viewer to interpret it.
I didn’t think his responses were shallow. He just thinks different.
Such a harsh description, “shallow”. I got the opposite feeling
Excellent interview! So intelligent, interesting, and searching questions. really well done!
Could listen to these guys talk shop all day, learned so much about the process
This is definitely my year 🐉

Pen it lol exactly
Love seeing Margaret Zhang
at least he knows and admit it just makes us LOVE HIM MORE 😍
He answered the questions directly to me
what an amazing interview!
More Margaret zhang!!!! Such a brilliant amazing woman!

They suit him though
Chill out. Glasses are fashion. He's in fashion. Maybe modern isn't for you.
Pharrel should deff come back with his Bapes and all those shoes clothes and bags. The most epic iconic era 2000 build up by him.
My question is why Vogue China's channel is so inactive while their chief editor is active on the American Vogue?
That guy ìs amazing ❤❤❤❤ loving u pharell. Ur such a pioneer and an iconic figure. Pride of the Black community.
Amazing conversation 👏🏾
Wow these were some of my favorite interviewers!

I didn't like Louis Vuitton before, but since Pharrell has been in charge I think they have produced some amazing stuff!
What a great interview
