Classrooms without natural light shouldn’t even be allowed imo! Natural light is essential to our hormonal production. It is detrimental to mental health to stay hours every day of the week without natural light. It also affects our sleep rhythm, energy, ability to concentrate, attention, etc. Great to see you guys put a lot of effort into making this room brighter and more colorful! 😊

You made everything easily simple and accessible for seamless independence for the kiddos. The calm space is perfect and will be so important to the kids that use it! GREAT JOB!
Being a special needs teacher is difficult. i struggled in school with autism and had some really great special needs teachers. However the classroom isn't very sensory friendly. y'all made this classroom to be just that. Children who need the extra time and care to learn don't always get that when there are multiple students learning at different paces. Such a good thing and I'm sure the children appreciate it too.

I really love your series of going to places that usually don't have the budget to really get designers, like schools, and shelters, and community centers. I think those places especially need to be a comforting place for the people who are there, but most often they are very clinical and cold. Not the fault of anyone, it's so hard to make a place warm and inviting, while also being able to clean it and often these places are in office like spaces, because they are also a workplace. That was so good! None her students will want to leave the room. I love the yellow film on the windows and the house structure. Everything is so cool!! Can't wait to see the next teacher you girls pick for a classroom makeover!!
What a happy colorful space you created for these kids and Ms. Hardy! They are going to have an awesome school year!! My prayers go out to the Kelowna community. I live on the west coast of the US and unfortunately large fires and toxic smoke have become a regular summer thing since the mid 2010's. We have to demand change for the sake of our kids' futures!!
We are now well into the crisis with endless numbers of communities suffering from global warming, and yet still dealing with people who claim climate change isn't real.
I remember when I was a student, there was only one classroom in the whole school that looked similar to this one & everyone always wanted to be in it!! It made learning so much more enjoyable as a young student. I’m on the journey to become a teacher and I can’t wait to be able to try & make my space look like this someday, awesome job!!
I am a childcare educator and a neurodivergent person I will say that the calm corner is so awesome, but if you ever build another I have some tips! One would be adding another "wall" to make it a more closed off space, when overstimulated kids want to hide, and the one you built doesn't really provide much of that.another thing I'd add is fidgets! Especially for kids that young, they may not be able to read alone or read that language. Fidgets provide a distraction that anyone can use.
I'm team thick yellow stripe for Becky's exact reasons. It's centered so it looks purposeful, the beige just looks like someone made a mistake. Still watching so idk what the ended up with yet! Edit: yeah I am glad that's over there and not at my house, those stripes would bother my eye. But as a whole project, it's amazing! Great job ladies!! Love that you are giving back

I'm so happy to see this series and hope you realise how many lives you will touch by doing this. Can't wait to see more!
This, I'm really happy and glad there is such a lovely classroom, but it's sad that teachers have to do all of that themselves, or rely on the kindness of others, to get a nice classroom.
Omg. I'm honestly so proud of you guys.🥺🥺 I started watching you guys in your vlog-style apartment and condo makeover era. This feels like a Netflix documentary - the editing, the storytelling, the DIY projects. I'm obsessed!

I LOVED this video. I'm a teacher and I am always obsessed with how my colleagues and teachers on social media create a space for their students that is welcoming, creative, safe and just a lovely space for kids to come learn and have fun! It's not always the easiest especially when we're typically paying out of pocket to have our spaces come to life. Would love to see this become a series - I appreciate you guys for shedding some light into the education field!
Bizarre comment here, but I think you guys really illustrated well when to get something new, and when to find second hand options when it came to the fabric sourcing in this vid. You bought new fabric for the structure, where it was going to stand alone, and you had a very specific vision (also, the fabric was going to be more exposed/stressed). Then, for the wall you sourced second hand, where it would be less stand alone and less exposed/stressed. Sometimes it can be hard to decide to find something new instead of used, but I appreciate your discernment in this video.
I can just imagine being a child in this space. I remember I loooved fun little spaces & we didn’t have many for most of my elementary school years - but I know the kids will remember this.
I grew up in a family of teachers. I know how much extra time, effort, and their own money they put into making their classrooms as positive and conducive to learning as they could. But it's so much to pile on when they still need to be focused on refreshing lesson plans and staying up to date on the latest changes from the district office and government mandates. Burnout is a real issue. Sorry Girls doing this is such a GREAT IDEA!!! I do hope you will make this an annual end-of-summer project. Again thank you so much for doing this.

This is such a great makeover! On behalf of a paraprofessional... You were spot on! Especially considering all the limitations you had to work around. The funny thing about those limitations is that they are exactly what most teachers/paraprofessionals would have to work around as well. Therefore, your makeover is such a fun, and realistic possibility.
It seems almost criminal that not every teacher can make their class a beautiful learning environment. As a teacher myself, I wish I could even do a fraction of this. It's so lovely. My Kindergarteners would love it.
I'm so proud of you Sorry girl gang! Incredible & wonderful transformation! The kids and Ms Hardy are going to excel in thw new space! Gold stars all round! ❤
Ladies!!! You have OUTDONE yourselves !! I love it. I really, really love it. I'd have to say the fabric wall and the play area are my favorite. And the best redo is the cupboard with those half moon handles! Who knew it could get spruced up so well? Great job!!
Such an incredible makeover and I love that you were able to transform the space without painting any of the walls as well! I'm sure the kids absolutely loved it!
Love following you guys along your inspiring projects. Writing in for the first time in years to say that I’m so happy Rochelle is on the team, she seems so knowledgeable and badass yet very humble. Please give her a raise or a “good job” cupcake :) ❤
I love the makeover. The only thing that gives me pause is did you check with the school board and the fire department officials about using fabric and hanging lights in the classroom? The reason classrooms don't have much fabric, upholstered material or soft rugs is because of fire regulations and also soft fabric and upholstered materials often have to be tossed if there's ever a bedbug infestation. It's also easier to clean materials that can be wiped down. I hope you had a green light for everything and that this makeover stays for a long time.
I absolutely loved this series! The classroom looked amazing in the end and I would've loved to have a classroom like this growing up. It would so cool if this became a series where you fix up classrooms for teachers.
This is going to seem very random, but in all of your videos one of my favorite things is the kind of slow-mo model shots of y'all doing DIY stuff, but specifically because you're always wearing appropriate safety gear. Like...looking amazing, being a badass DIYer AND being safe & responsible? We Love It!!!
Wow, Ms.Hardy has a broad range of students and now there is a number of spaces to support different learning levels and styles. Great job! Hope the area and families and school is safe from the fires.
I was a teacher for almost 50 years so thank you so much for doing this wonderful classroom. People may not know how much of their own money most teachers spend each year to set up their classrooms. Your gift of this space is a true blessing for the teacher and her students
wow what a beautiful transformation! definitely love all the little nooks you created for the kiddies. I would've loved this as a little kid, I mean I love it as an adult!!
The situation is similar in other countries. I'm from Germany; some schools have enough budget and great equipment, whereas others, like mine, struggle. I spent so much money out of my pocket to make our classroom nicer for the children (grade 5, 10-11 years old). Just because they aren't in elementary school anymore doesn't mean they dislike fun and color in their classroom. They're still children! Great makeover! Miss Hardy is such a sweet person :)

Spectacular transformation! Your exceptionally creative and very much looking forward to seeing Ms. Hardys classroom reaction of the kids.
this is sooooo good!!! also becky that hair is amazing
Rochelle is such a pro !!!!
the move on the awning wouldve been to make the pattern match in the middle and add whatever strip you need to on the side
As a retired teacher and having a granddaughter entering JK this year, I’m thrilled that you are helping a teacher. It turned out great!
As a teacher who just set up her own classroom and loves watching others do the same, i love this ❤
Love following you guys along your inspiring projects. Writing in for the first time in years to say that I’m so happy Rochelle is on the team, she seems so knowledgeable and badass yet very humble. Please give her a raise or a “good job” cupcake :) ❤
I just want to be BFFs with Rochelle..everything she does is sooooo cool!!!
Becky I’m with you! Team thick yellow stripe!!
Rochelle is such a bad ass!
Can not say enough that I love how badass Rochelle is! Love her wood work
This is going to seem very random, but in all of your videos one of my favorite things is the kind of slow-mo model shots of y'all doing DIY stuff, but specifically because you're always wearing appropriate safety gear. Like...looking amazing, being a badass DIYer AND being safe & responsible? We Love It!!!
This is such a wholesome comment
This teacher heart is so happy. What a beautiful and welcoming classroom!
Wow, Ms.Hardy has a broad range of students and now there is a number of spaces to support different learning levels and styles. Great job! Hope the area and families and school is safe from the fires.
Love that these girls came to bc to give a teacher something beautiful. Canadian superstars 💫
I was a teacher for almost 50 years so thank you so much for doing this wonderful classroom. People may not know how much of their own money most teachers spend each year to set up their classrooms. Your gift of this space is a true blessing for the teacher and her students
As a teacher, THANK YOU. As a long-term viewer who misses collaborative DIYs from you lovely ladies, THANK YOU!! 🫶🏻🫶🏻
wow what a beautiful transformation! definitely love all the little nooks you created for the kiddies. I would've loved this as a little kid, I mean I love it as an adult!!
Anything you can do for wonderful teachers 😊😊😊😊
The situation is similar in other countries. I'm from Germany; some schools have enough budget and great equipment, whereas others, like mine, struggle. I spent so much money out of my pocket to make our classroom nicer for the children (grade 5, 10-11 years old). Just because they aren't in elementary school anymore doesn't mean they dislike fun and color in their classroom. They're still children!
Great makeover! Miss Hardy is such a sweet person :)
I need Rochelle to read books to me. I love her voice. It’s so smooth and calming!
Bruh when you flipped on the light I literally screeched.. I think it's utterly stunning 😍
Thank you for doing something special for teachers. Fantastic job!
Love this makeover! I also appreciate that this wasn’t a two part video. I love the longer content!!
this is so incredible! the parents are gonna be so excited and grateful as well. u guys are the best
You girls outdid yourselves. What a room to learn in!! ❤
Love and appreciate the indigenous recognition ❤
This is incredibly thoughtful. I love this episode so much and I just started watching it.
