This is something so different for the sorry girls channel and I’m so happy you chose something that is going to bring so much joy to all those young moms and new babies. Everything is going to look so amazing and I’m sure everyone who gets to share this space is going to find it so relaxing. You ladies and the team are doing something so incredible and I hope we get to see more makeover like this 🤍
i'm a nursing student and did my placement here just 1.5 years ago! i know the moms would love this new space that brings some vibrance into the building. thank you guys for using your platform to showcase and highlight so many hidden stories
I LOVE that you guys involved Rochelle in on this makeover!!! She has great energy! Also, you should ALWAYS remove the switch plates! It's so easy and looks so fresh and clean when complete!
@Wandering homebody same here, ur not alone. Been wantin to but dreading admitting/hate to say it but I can't watch the blonde girl at all. I don't wana be rude just being honest 💯
Organizations like Abiona are SO important for infant development! A space for babies and their mothers to not worry about anything other than connecting with their baby, in a calm, beautiful, and inspiring place, surrounded by supportive women will have a HUGE impact on the community!
YES! Absolutely yes!!! I can’t get over that you did this and we need much more of it! I’ve worked in the nonprofit field for 10 years and most nonprofits run on a very tight budget with staff that do multiple jobs at once so they usually can only do the necessity and do not have the time or money to think about the design. I’ve worked in ministries that serve low income folks and they are very used to wearing hand-me-downs or previously broken things and existing in spaces that are just good enough but nothing more. I have so much to say about how design = dignity!! As designers you know the impact that being in a well thought out, cared for, and designed space can have on your mind and your mood. When low income clients get into spaces like the one you are creating, many of them are taken aback because they typically don’t get to experience those spaces. PLEASE do more to help good design (and it’s affects on dignity) reach people that really need it. PLEASE find more local nonprofits and do more of these episodes because you are changing so much more than just the design. You are impacting the way their clients are feeling and giving them a greater sense of dignity and worthiness that they deserve something this nice. And I love how you interviewed the staff about what the space needs and I really hope there ends up being art from the community or some sort of mural that the clients see themselves in. Thank you again and this just goes to show how top tier the Sorry Girls are in the influencer design world!!!!!♥️♥️♥️
This is the perfect summary of why this video hits so much better that their Airbnb series (which was still epic, don't get me wrong). That was a series about creating luxury for people who expect luxury, this is about giving luxury to those who can rarely afford it and the impact for these women is going to be so huge ❤
THIS WARMS MY HEART ! im an ebay seller and i always see so much baby stuff so cheap when im sourcing .i live in ohio and thia has inspired me to pick up things and donate to a place in my area.. hopefully there is something like this .
this makes me and my mom so happy, she worked for the early on center (in ottawa and surrounding area locations) up until half a year ago, she is still helping moms just ina new job and location. but her time there was so special and leaving was really hard because through her job she met so many new parents and helped so many people, it was family
Yes! So happy to see the TSG team using their talents to give back to the community. Excited to see the room come together - Speaking of, would it be possible to add “Part 1” to the title of these multi-part videos, or something else that indicates there’s more to come? It’s such a letdown when we’re hit with a “to be continued” after watching for almost a half hour.
The Sorry Girls always impress in their ability to combine form and function in beautiful and creative ways! Such an awesome project for an amazing cause. Great job ladies! x MSB
The opening was so different than usual and I love it. The style of cinematography, the colour grading, and the music are so much better to me. Love it and love what you're doing for these people.
Why are so many content creators splitting videos up. I personally prefer it all in one video no matter the length of it. All the room needed was final touches basically.
Yes! I kind of get it, that they have a lot of footage and need to stay on a schedule and therefore make two videos out of it. But because it seemed like only the final touches were left it made me confused that it ended so suddenly. Just telling in the beginning of the video that there will be several parts or at least putting it into the videotitle would make it a little more clear and less frustrating.
Yeah, I have been finding it a bit frustrating lately. I get why they are doing it. But I'll be honest, the Videos feel dragged out and boring with no pay-off (as in: final outcome, gotta wait for that).
FINALLY some baby content in this channel! (you don’t need to be mommas to support other mommas…) Also, I loved seeing the whole team involved in this project specially K and B working on the same project… it’s OG TSG time! ❤💪
As someone who was a young mom, I really needed these support systems. It makes me so happy to see videos like this. Because the young mom's and the amazing women who make it possible to keep these organizations running deserve it!
Oh thank you for taking on this project. Agencies like these are so necessary, and it's a noble cause. Creating a comfortable and cozy common space will make the room feel less like an institution and more like a home. Well done Sorry Girls. I love this so much.
So happy to see this. I wish I had some place like this when I was young and pregnant. It would have make a huge difference. So nice to see the world changing in this way.
You guys are so cool! Iv always been inspired by you all to make more sustainable choices. I love the way you run your business with so many strong amazing woman, using power tool and creating such cool stuff proving we don’t need men (we love the editors and men on the channel though to). Everyone who works at the sorry girls seem like such kind and caring people. This video makes me even more impressed by you all, you are using your talents and platform for such good things. You all are making the world a better and more beautiful place with each video💕
I don't know why I feel so emotional about this makeover. Like I'm not maternal, don't want kids and I'm shit with them but I absolutely want the best for wee babies and this warms my wee heart. Also I've been thinking its been so long since we saw a full makeover with you both and we LOVE to see it! You're eternally my fav youtube channel for your thriftiness and resourcefulness but seeing you come together to makeover such an important space warms my heart!!
Simply wonderful of you! Love the color to come and all the ideas I saw on the mood boards and love the foam tile floor idea,. Would have appreciated PART 1 in the title. Suggestion: rings on the curtains. Can't wait for part 2!!!
I'm only halfway through this video and...WHAT AN INSPIRATIONAL AND THOUGHTFUL PROJECT!!! This makes me so happy for this deserving organization and proud of the Sorry Girls team!
Love seeing this kind of makeover Would love to see more where it helps community I Love how you recycle repurpose and always try to do things in a positive way ❤
your attitude impresses me so much. you are so dedicated to community health and wellness by doing a lot of up-cycled projects and now doing this amazing makeover for a really worthy organization. God bless and good health to you all.
Love this whole project. And everyone is involved. All 4 TSG (make Rochelle a permanent face to the channel!!!). Just awesome. And this is going to be such a respite for the clients who get to relax and actually just be young women without the fear aspect. Love the lower child perspective and the top half of the room is for adults, separate but very much integrated! Absolutely meets your goals! Can't wait to see the reveal!
This is amazing! ❤ As a future social worker (that currently works at a similar home like this during my studies) with a burning passion for design and decorating this is so fun to see!!! ❤️ Can’t wait to see the end results 🎉
Right when I think I couldn’t love you gals more you go and do this❣️ Of course everything you create is amazing but helping these young ladies and their babies is just beyond💞💞💞 We need more women like you supporting women❣️💞🙏
I always love when you do projects like this! You already have so many great platforms but it was refreshing to see you expand even further and adding in Rochelle! You took the how to series to a whole other level with “how to build an inspiring and community building space for families”
Watching this months after it was posted, but so happy to watch it anyway! It's not just an excellent work by The Sorry Girls, but also such an important thing for the Abiona Centre, for people to know the job they're doing. I hope we get to see more makeovers like this!
this is the most amazing thing i’ve seen from you guys. forget the actual design stuff; the thought, the work, the impact, just a wonderful job. this is what it’s all about!!
I love when Kelsey is scared to carry the T.V. and then they cut to the carer effortlessly lifting it, like she carries babies all day so a T.V. is not scary at all 😂 Also, what an amazing center. ❤
I love that you're doing this for young mothers and their babies and I love Becky, Kelsey and Rochelle together!!! Can't wait to watch this video!! 👏💜👏🩵👏
Phenomenal that you are doing good work for young women and babies. They deserve an attractive and appealing space -- sure to enhance well-being and mental health!
I think this might be one of my favourite makeovers you've ever done because of what it means and who it's for. I'd love to see you do even more makeovers for those in need. It's seriously so meaningful.
I can't even imagine the amount of mental and physical energy that was spent on this project, but this is probably one of my favorites in a while because of who you're doing the makeover for. You will be making a huge impact for these young mothers and children! Please do more like this! I would love to see similar makeovers. As a disabled woman, these types of makeovers seem far and more realistic for me than buying everything new. You thrifting, reusing, and fixing/painting older items is a lot more attainable than others I've seen. Plus, it's helping the environment too. Y'all are incredible! Looking forward to the reveal!! 🤍
We have something similar here, although on a smaller scale! I actually stayed there for about 8 months when my daughter was one, they helped me with cooking basic lessons, driving lessons and self care sessions It was incredible
not you guys choosing a random height for the paint and it happens to be the EXACT height of the couches?!?!? naturals. I love you girls. Your energy warms my heart.
This is great. Wish y’all got a sponsor like Article to help with the transformation. Gives these young moms a thought that they deserve more than secondhand items.
Probably the hormones but this episode made me emotional. I love that you guys are doing this. Motherhood can feel so hard and isolating especially when you are going through it alone, these young mums deserve all the comforts they can get. ❤ you guys are the best.
This is incredibly heartwarming! I haven't even finished the video,...but just the fact you guys are helping out this organization that helps so many young women. I can't wait to see how it turns out. The environment will make such a huge difference in how they all feel. ✨💖✨👍
Love ❤ love that you did a make over for this centre. Such an important place, I hope all communities have something like this, sadly I suspect not though.
I was so excited to see this episode, especially after participating in the live twitch stream. It's great to see you outside your comfort zone and helping a deserving organization too.
Crying within the first two minutes of you guys talking about this place that you're making over ❤❤❤ thank you for supporting this program and the women who need it
Loved the intro scene, cheers to whomever edited that, it was such a vibe! I am so excited for part II!! Thank you for using your talents to help others, I'm sure it is going to be a wonderful space🥰🥰 Loved seeing the whole team working on a project together☺

I LOVE that you guys involved Rochelle in on this makeover!!! She has great energy! Also, you should ALWAYS remove the switch plates! It's so easy and looks so fresh and clean when complete!
seriously easy hack!
I especially love it when it's mostly just Kelsey and Becky.
@Wandering homebody same here, ur not alone. Been wantin to but dreading admitting/hate to say it but I can't watch the blonde girl at all. I don't wana be rude just being honest 💯

Omg, I so agree!!!
Rachael? I personally love her & her individual videos! She was a great addition to the team

THIS WARMS MY HEART ! im an ebay seller and i always see so much baby stuff so cheap when im sourcing .i live in ohio and thia has inspired me to pick up things and donate to a place in my area.. hopefully there is something like this .
A reason to buy adorable baby clothes, tho!
this makes me and my mom so happy, she worked for the early on center (in ottawa and surrounding area locations) up until half a year ago, she is still helping moms just ina new job and location. but her time there was so special and leaving was really hard because through her job she met so many new parents and helped so many people, it was family
I would love if this became a regular video type! Helping local organizations, its so beautiful and really speaks to your hearts as a company 😍
A meaningful renovation for the work that's done in that building. And LIVING for the green lamp

Ha! My daughter was doing tummy time while I watched this video 😂 I showed her you guys doing it for moral support
Kelsey, Becky, and all of the Sorry Girls team killing it again. 💜
I really missed these classic sorry girls makeover videos ❤

Yes this!!! I am so annoyed at this - I'm only seeing this channel do it - and if I wanted a series I would watch "regular tv"..
Yeah, I have been finding it a bit frustrating lately. I get why they are doing it. But I'll be honest, the Videos feel dragged out and boring with no pay-off (as in: final outcome, gotta wait for that).
It seems to be the trend for 2023.
FINALLY some baby content in this channel! (you don’t need to be mommas to support other mommas…) Also, I loved seeing the whole team involved in this project specially K and B working on the same project… it’s OG TSG time! ❤💪
Yes I love the TSG baby content ! ☺️ and it’s so refreshing to see it’s not basic “sad beige” ahhah
I am so glad TSG is using their talents and their platform for organizations like this. So proud of yall
I love this direction of using your talents for the betterment of others in need ❤
Hope there’s more like this to come
This is EXACTLY what using your privilege for GOOD looks like. Definitely my favourite video on this entire channel.
Privilege? Or using their gifts and heart?
As someone who was a young mom, I really needed these support systems. It makes me so happy to see videos like this. Because the young mom's and the amazing women who make it possible to keep these organizations running deserve it!
I love this!! Young mothers that need support deserve to get it in an inviting environment. Love team TSG more than ever ❤❤

The sad old men trees just always reminded me of melting candles so they made me feel cozy!
I’m getting Queer eye vibes from this like helping the community and being so accepting and generous and I love it!

I love that you’re using your platform to help teen moms!
Can you please put it in the title when it's a two-part project? Reaching the end of the video to realise this is uncomplete is very frustrating
Lol 🙃 calm down. It cannot be that frustrating.
Actually a good heads up ahaha thanks
you’ll live
you know what it never was? that serious. it was never that serious. 😐
Yes pls
I think this might be one of my favourite makeovers you've ever done because of what it means and who it's for. I'd love to see you do even more makeovers for those in need. It's seriously so meaningful.

I missed see you ladies do your thing!!!!! I love this episode so much! You ladies are awesome ( I look forward to Rachel’s episode)
Babies up to 6 months really engage with black and white, high contrast colouring too.
What a great transformation so far! The space looks bigger and brighter, for sure.
Probably the hormones but this episode made me emotional. I love that you guys are doing this. Motherhood can feel so hard and isolating especially when you are going through it alone, these young mums deserve all the comforts they can get. ❤ you guys are the best.

I love the foam tiles! Such a clever 'rug' idea!
this is what I needed to restore some faith in humanity today ♥️
It's so satisfying how the height of the sofa matches the stripe on the wall
So good to see y'all together
Love ❤ love that you did a make over for this centre. Such an important place, I hope all communities have something like this, sadly I suspect not though.
This Centre sounds like such a great resource! Glad the Sorry Girls game them a spotlight and a cool room.

It is very satisfying how perfectly the paint lines up to the back of the couch.
It's amazing, that you use your talents to help people in need. I'm sure those moms will profit from the make over for years! Keep up the good work!
I am in love with this content. i am such an advocate for the message this institution is providing ❤❤❤❤❤
