I love these kind of videos. It’s cool to see somewhat awkward and relatable spaces get transformed. Rooms with weird pipes and appliances and grates etc etc are much more relatable and seeing how you work around real room’s quirks makes makeovers feel more doable
Yeah I feel like those are the solutions people need for inspiration. With channels like TSG, lonefox, Mr Kate on RUclips and the endless home makeover tv shows, people know how to design a straightforward square bare walls room but it's not easy with an odd shaped room.
@@emilyflavell1658 its at the bottom of the stairs i doubt any baby is getting anywhere near that. The washing machine had ti be taken up the stairs to get it out of the house
I really enjoy the fact that you can’t see the entire shelving area. The covered part can be used to store more ugly “backstock” and tools that don’t have to be accessed frequently
@@rtd1791 that’s what I thought. I think taking one set of hinges off to make it two panels rather than three would make maneuvering it less awkward and would still give an angled cover to the water tank but it seems like more effort than what it’s worth
This is such a calming, cozy space! Exactly what you need for the daunting task of laundry. I love when you girls take something I’m questioning (like the tin wallpaper) and make me totally love it in the end!
I like it! Doesn't look like every other laundry room make over. For the people worried about the door, it can easily be reinstalled if the owner wants it.
I NEED those faux tin tiles in the UK. My kitchen would look amazing in these! Boho industrial is exactly what I had in mind for my kitchen makeover. This is beautiful, nailed it!
Oooh. I love this room. I’d really like to see TSG tackle more awkward rooms and spaces that aren’t in their normal styles. Definitely love the boho industrial look.
The best parts of this space are the counter for folding laundry and the bar for drying some things and hanging others as they come out of the dryer. If everybody had these they would see how much more efficient it is to take most things out of the dryer one at a time and fold or hang immediately. Socks and underwear are still good to do in front of the TV.
Nailed It!!! There is Nothing about this makeover that I don’t absolutely LOVE. Since my space has such a similar size and layout, I’m going to try to recreate the space in my own laundry/utility room on my own. But I will tell everyone about your amazing channel and Talent. Wish me luck and Thank you both for sharing your awesomeness with me. I’m so glad I found your channel today and I’m binge watching and you have me excited again about my home. Keep making beautiful spaces and sharing them with us.
😘 Now, that's a sexy & stylish boho industrial laundry space! ✔️Well done! It could easily do double duty as a WFH or craft spot when not folding laundry🧺. 🙋♀️Major props for LG sponsoring this makeover & those smart stackable units they contributed. Thx to TSG this room went from a basic & boring utility to a brilliant space you'd actually enjoy spending time in ⏰. ❤️ Super to see 👭Dynamic Duo back in action. 💯% functional turnaround from original, no one wants to 🧐 look @ the water💧works, ducting , or tools. 💙 Love the new multi-directional light fixture (over the standard ceiling fixture too). The lamp offers task & mood lighting. It also makes it more of an inviting living area too. Yes, doors can help keep the 🔊noise, clutter, & little 👶creatures @ bay. Often times, 🐈 cat owners put the litter box in that room, so they leave it open anyway. Plus, those newer front loading machines operate a lot quieter. 😖 Doors can also be a nuisance in a small footprint. A pocket door is 💲pricey to install. Had a friend put in a bi-fold door in something similar + it served the purpose well w/o getting in the way. 😉To each his/her own. 💚 Bridget from Cali☘️ (using my pal's YT acct)
Having a functional laundry room is real a benefit , but they are often dreary or industrial (not in a good way) The tight space, plumbing & function necessary create an enormous design challenge. (I just re-did mine-so much work for such a small space!) Congratulations! You nailed it! I love that it’s a welcoming work space with maximum function. It’s beautiful without being overly “decorated”.
Looks great! kind of wish something would have been done to the floor along with the runner. As for the door, I'm sure when baby is mobile it will go back up.
I love the video. I'm just amazed at the differences in what we consider tiny. In other countries the space is literally the size of the washing machine and about 1.5 meters above it.
LOVE THE ROOM ps: there’s a hole around the trigger of the caulk gun that you stink the top of the tube into and when you pull the trigger, it cuts the tip off MUCH SAFET than a blade👍🏻
Love your color scheme and boho meets industrial look. It softens all the dark tones and warms the cool dark grays. The wood shelves and staining are everything! The tin walls surprisingly don’t clash with the wash towers. And Becky, that hinged privacy wall looks amazing-Queen of the Rattan! This vid gave me pre-panD vibes! ❤️🤌👏
I have those tin panels as a backsplash in my kitchen and I LOVE it! I also took the leftover panel and rubbed black wax over it and used it as an accent wall in my living room.
It looks so good!!! I am curious though- why did you guys not go with a wood peel and stick floor that matches the same wood stain as the floating wall shelves? Or is that like wayyyyyy to aggressive? Lmao, I love peel and stick
Can there be any two women more talented or beautiful!? I have been watching a long time and your personalities have remained consistent throughout your journey. I have so much respect for those who never forget how or who helped them reach their dreams. 💖 Awesome job again as usual, love this. 😍
Wow, I had a cane room divider diy planned as a water heater cover up in my kitchen makeover video earlier this year, but I wound up not being able to afford to make the idea come to life. Good to know it would have worked well, guess great minds think alike!
This is a beautiful space. I love how it's industrial but not cold and impersonal, which frequently happens with industrial-style. It's also got a feminine tilt which is not common with dark wood and metals so this was top tier designing in that respect. The boho definitely comes through. My only critique is that there needs to be more drying racks. I think you should have tried pull out racks within the shelves (a la Ana White's laundry room diy). That way she'd have more space to dry things if she doesn't want to put it in the dryer, but also be able to tuck them away so they aren't visually unappealing when not in use.
That water tank takes up so much room and is an eyesore. A better option would have been a wall mounted, instant water heater. The laundry room turned out great!
I love your makeover videos. You get to help change somebody's life. And legitimately you can bring somebody out of depression by changing room for them. Thank you for doing what you do. I love your channel I love your work you are so inspiring. I am trying to figure out what to do with my house right now. I'm on the edge of asking for design help because I have ideas but I don't know where to go.
I’ve been loving all your recent content, but this feels like a good ole throwback in all the right ways!
I agree
Yeah love ittt!!
I've been noticing a lot more footage of laughing and joking, too.
This room looks amazing! I love the mix of rustic and boho.....I LOVE THIS SPACE!!!
Agreed 🙌🏼🙌🏼

It looks very nice.
I 100% would have kept the door. It's such a nice thing to be able to shut the door. Especially with kids/cats.
It's gonna be fun keeping the new baby out of all the laundry chemicals! I guess it's good that adding a door back on won't be too difficult
Agreed
Yeah I would have kept the door too. First, trying to keep the baby out of there. And second, the noise of the machines
@@emilyflavell1658 its at the bottom of the stairs i doubt any baby is getting anywhere near that. The washing machine had ti be taken up the stairs to get it out of the house

Saaame, I thought that tin tile was so weird and I kinda hated it, until I saw the final result!
I like it! Doesn't look like every other laundry room make over. For the people worried about the door, it can easily be reinstalled if the owner wants it.
Couldn't Door be Refined or Redone, into a sliding Barn Door ???
It'll be so noisy without the door
The only reason I'm concerned about the door is the fact that they are about to have a baby
@@TheDeerhunter316 Babygate, mate! nice and easy.
When you were making your screen, a lil tip is to soak the caning first then attach. As it dries it gets really taut :)
Was gonna comment just this.
Yes please! No wrinkles
I was thinking the exact same thing. :)
Yes! In a pinch you can spritz with water and use a steamer.
Thanks for sharing! Good to know.
Noise! Reason for door on laundry. Enjoy all your videos. You two are very talented. And Danny is wonderful.

That pink is GORGEOUS! That room is gorgeous!
The camera shots and editing of this video are top tier! You guys have really stepped it up and I love it!
"do they walk the cat?" had me dying! I've seen so many people recently walking their cats, too cute!!
I think I love the ceiling light the most and the choice of wall color. And those little round nobs on the wall are such an adorable touch.
I never thought a laundry room could look this good!
I love the editing and graphics on this video, feels really, really high-end. Good job!
the production quality and camera work of this vid is just *chef's kiss*
This was an EXTREM makeover! I was like how cute could a tiny laundry room be? Im blown away. Good job!
Becky's braided space buns look BOMB!!
I actually love the sit down “to do” and “to pick up” segment feels personals and behind the scenesish

Looove the dark wood counter contrasted w. the tin wall situation 🤍

Definitely boho industrial! That is one of the coolest laundry 😎 rooms! I may steal some of those ideas when I do my laundry!

I find it curious you call this a "tiny" laundry room (it's huge compared to what I'm used to) but in any case it turned out stunning
