Damn. He transformed a High Grade into a scaled down Perfect Grade. Job well done! Subbed.

I never realized how much I needed PLASMO + gunpla in my life. Please make more now and then.
Good to see you here Sinix. Same goes to you. Keep making awesome content!

"I'm not expert Gundam modeler"
My friend you are Master Class modeler. You took this kit to another level. You used techniques I've never seen modelers use who have hundreds of completed kits under their belt. Can't wait to see you tackle a higher grade Gundam model.
Kind of surprised this is your first Gunpla, as I would have never found your channel without my interest in Gundam.
I have watched this channel purely for the military models and was fascinated by this Gunpla model. How does it compare to other expert Gundam model builders@
@@Chris-tc7gk The kit he's working on is a 1/144 scale High Grade of "HG" kit. In Gunpla, HG's are typically less detailed and more meant for beginners/modelers who want to heavily customize their kits with greebling and stuff. As you get into the Real Grade, Master Grade and Perfect Grade kits, you'll find that those are much more detailed, have more parts, etc. PLASMO is definitely on the level with some of the best Gunpla builders out there, imo.
@@Chris-tc7gk @Chris TBH, he is already Championship lvl of Modelling.
Just compare it to this Champion lvl gunpla from 2018 Championship winner.
ruclips.net/video/F1eQk0ggy-U/видео.html
For his first Gunpla he isn't far off from a 1st place winner. The only big difference is the custom built parts.
This entire video was a real treat especially since it was his first Gunpla.
I am super excited if he likes these enough to do more im the future.
@@RavensEagle Yeah, but what's really needed is some awesome posture, and a nice diorama (water, mud, forest, railway, snow, city ruin, etc.) to elevate this work. Hope David can develop this project further.
@@RavensEagle While, yes, Plasmo did a fantastic job on this kit, comparing it to the GM Sniper that Ray built is just silly. You're talking about your basic mid-level weathering techniques and panel lining being on par with scratch building custom parts.
It's hilarious how you chose a high grade GM. That's the perfect combination for minimal detail.
Oh man he's making gunpla. This is getting serious.

At last
Wait till he starts building narrow gauge.... (trains) lol

It's amazing how different gunpla looks when approached by someone with an entirely different modelling background. Like he really elevated an HG kit to something insane through sheer practical experience.
PLASMO doing Gunpla.
I thought this day would never come.
@RuRuRu Me too!
@RuRuRu Me too.
Its like a dream come true!
why gunpla is basically Gundam + plasmo
@Lima.....wait til he does a food cooking vid!
I'm not even into Gundam anime, but I have to say this is Badass!! It turned out great. I love all the little details you put into this and all your projects, they just bring the whole model to life.
Best scale modeling channel on YT, period. 👍👍
What a great gunpla choice. I love how he brought his traditional modeling skills and his crazy ass modifications in for this build, hes really something special
I always tell people for there first gunpla to either pick one of the protagonist HGs or a GM. Protagonist HGs tend to have a really good gimmick or design to hook people while the GM just has so many customs while still being a simple good build.
I've watched your channel for a while now and you always do an awesome job of building and painting your kits. I really like Gunpla and I have some from several years ago that don't have the updated details and skeletal structure many of the newer kits do. But, watching your technique for weathering with oil paints, multi-layering with the airbrush to create scratches, all the Dremel work on the vents...wow! I learn a lot from watching your videos and it makes me want to just dive in but I'm a perfectionist at heart, so I appreciate your desire to take this kit from standard to high detail. Please continue to produce these educational, fun videos for those of us who enjoy and love the hobby...even when we can't engage it as often as we'd like. Thank you!
Wow! I've never seen someone use a razor saw for scribing panel lines! You make it look so effortless. Excellent work 👏
Amazing work, love seeing you work on military models and love how well it translates to Gunpla. But please spread the feet and point the toes outward, a good paint job is only made better with solid posing. Think about how you would stand proud and position him similarly.
2:17 - but the poses are on point xD
You want it to stand as if it's in an anime but that's not how David rolls- it's standing as it would as if it were real in our world. That's why he painted it as he did, magnificently.
@@markfergerson2145 noone stands like that, feet close together, toes pointed forward, and elbows pointed out. Im not talking a JoJo style S position, just spread the feet to shoulder width and position the elbows like a normal human. And yes it is magnificent, that's why I'd hope he poses it more naturally. It looks a little goofy.
@@thealcober I mean, he posed it with tthe elbows out, what did you expect
Welp, this was absolutely bloody amazing, sheer perfection. Btw, that one big line you filled in on the rifle was basically where the stock would be able to fold in for carrying lorewise
HG is for expert modeller because lack of detail XD.
Buying an expensive model with lots of parts doesn't make an expert modeler at all. Making a good model from a cheap set is an art. Unfortunately, this requires more work and experience.
Naw that’s mega size kits
Anything people consider as brick kit is expert kit. Re100 nightingale, hg kits and sazabi are a few of it
Speaking from experience that's flat out false. HG is for inexperienced modelers and heavy modification happens on all grades for professional gunpla. More over the engineering that goes into a HG is pretty garbage in comparison to the more expensive kits and I don't mean detailing
@@larrisAWSOME he's just joking. I think you probably knew that
I am by far, not a model expert but this is beyond anything I have ever been able to achieve. I have learned so much. I look forward to you building a 1/60 scale gundam.
I’d like to see what you can do with a Macross Veritech. Hasegawa makes clear versions also and it’d be neat to see you light it up.
Great and very interesting idea. I hope he sees this.
I was thinking the same thing.
This gives me some ideas.
YES, please!!!!❤❤❤❤
Macross Variable Fighter. Veritech is Robotech, and we don't talk about that.
I wonder what he could do with a Bandai Valkyrie kit; they do perfect transformations.
jocax188723 Macross/Robotech. Same difference just that Robotech is “Americanized”.
Through the whole video I was amazed and thought you were working at 1/100 scale. Then the end came and it turned out to be 1/144 and it blew me away.
Thanks, you've inspired me to strive for a greater standard of crafting.
David: i no expert in Gundam.
Me: u r already a legend... David, a legend.
It's really nice to see a modeller who is an expert in military models give gunpla a try. I have a small advise that you should pose the final model with feet in V-shape like our human feet while standing. Two parallel feet are the most common mistake that happens to first-time gunpla builders.
Never thought you would do a gundam build, a big surprise!
This build could easily fetch a GBWC title. Hands down.
AH! This is the greatest thing that has ever happened
I agree with you, Roman general Marcus Antonius.
Aye,been waiting for this for sooo long. Epic outcome :) puts my Gundams to shame haha
Would love to see you build a master grade or perfect grade kit. Really bring out those incredible details!
Repeat with me - "It's super easy".

It totally is.

Plasmo, u are literally making an RG from a HG kit! That is one fantastic build!
@Devilikg u know what, i might edit those from RG to PG.. hahahaha
Bandai has NEVER made anything of this quality, this is Plasmo Grade
Apparently David is trying to break the internet today 😂
I'm not a fan of this genre, but there is still a lot to learn from the build. Fantastic as always!
Model makers: Here's a new model that we think everyone is going to like.
Everyone: oh.. nice. It looks great.
Plasmo: Here, hold my glue. Let's make some changes...
I looks really beautiful after your changes. Love the colours, changes and the dirty look. And who doesn't love a dirty robot!
"...Hold my glue." 🤣😂🤣😂🤣
"Who doesn't love a dirty robot?"... Vanilla ass Modelers with very little to no creativity.
"And who doesn't love a dirty robot!"
Everyone loves Bender, so I guess dirty robots are well-liked.
dirty robot is sexier ... hmmm doesn't sound right
I've watched this video many times and the finished product is so unbelievably good
When you take a masterfully skilled modeler to build his first gundam.
So i just discovered this channel today. I'm quite new to the hobby, starting with warhammer and dnd minis a little before last christmas, but I'll say this:
First you see him building the model and be like: «Great, he's pretty good.»
Then you see him mod the model: : «Good lord, he's awesome, mind blown.»
Finally he paints it.. : «Windows will restart when the update is finished.«
The mad lad finally went into gunpla, before he knows it he'll be digging even deeper into the gunpla hole and if he starts getting into the anime franchise, it becomes an unbreakable addiction

As usual: "I made some minor changes". This man is a top tier plastic modelers level.
This video is 3 years old I have watched it so many times and here I am again , seriously talented modeller, I have seen 1000s of HG GM snipers but never like this 😮
This isn't even HG anymore, it's PG, Plasmo Grade, and it is above even perfect grade. Masterful!

Amazing job, i'd love to see you tackle a Wave company Maschinen Krieger kit.
Very nice to see you start making Gundam models, it is really interesting to see you use modeling techniques for tanks and planes on Gundams.
This is the first Gundam I've seen that made me go "wow."
Well I'll be damned, never expected Gunpla from this channel but I most definitely ain't complainin'.
Ramash440 I thought he will never make Gunpla kits, I am glad he did! He is the model master!
First the Nautilus and then Gunpla...He's slowly creeping to weeb territory now...I wouldnt be surprised if he starts working on garage kits and naked angel kits from plamax one day...

I always love when scale modelers build gunpla kits. I feel like they always bring such a unique approach to their builds. If you're looking for inspiration on your next build I'd recommend looking up Vegeta8259's builds, as you two seem to have a similar eye for detail.
Good to see trying to build gunpla models.. How i wish you build Master Grade scales
PLASMO showing all those Gundam lovers how it should be done
I do love his work, but as far as gundam is concerned those are weak mods.
@@somethingbrutal666 Can't blame him much. Gunpla engineering requires for some shenanigans that are more convoluted
and alienated than with most other model kits. People only onto tanks may have never had to research how to modify parts to fix seamlines
while still having part separation and/or keeping articulation, as example.
He still paints much better than I will in my lifespan anyways >.>
We should get him to do a RG
if you search "gm sniper gunpla", you'll see last years Gunpla Champion's GM sniper work, which is hardcore and also amazing
@@Blazinter this is actually quite a bad habit, you can learn so much from other model types.
I was looking for a good replacement for the vinyl covers on my MG Full Armor and found it in a video about ship modeling, apparently rice paper makes for great cloth sails unlike actual cloth as it crumples as a large sheet would in scale even when cut in extremely small pieces, also takes paint great being you know, paper.
I also wouldn't have learned half the weathering techniques I know were it not for this channel so yeah, expand your views and shit.
Pfff... First time building a Gundam, and he upgrades an entry level HG to a miniature PG. Amazing!
PRAISE BE, HE FINALLY DID IT!!
Edit: Ok, now that I finished watching, I love it! Although, you went a bit 'ham' with the number of decals. XD
Usually, not counting warning decals, the faction/model decals are only present on the shoulder armor, chest and, if it has one, shield.
If you'll make another Gundam/mecha model, and if you'll want to up the details (and knowing you, you will) check out this guy. He's an utter monster with upgrading Gundam kits. ruclips.net/video/tLxYdb06A-w/видео.html
RAVI personally overdoes it with the panel lining and raised surfaces. I don't really dig it.

Some great additions to the Gundam, love the attention to detail! Totally transformed this figure, awesome work 👍
Could it be we will see an RG build too? *gasp*
Anyways, I like how you approach modding this kit. It speaks volume of your experience as a modeler and how easy it is to transfer that knowledge to various other kits.
You Sir are just to damn good. Great build.
He did it, the mad lad did it ♥️
And what a result man, love it

This guy should enter the Gunpla Builders World Cup, he has a shot.
I wonder if Plasmo has done any competitions
I dunno, those guys really go nuts on the custom parts. This might actually be too subtle...
He is a fantastic modeler, sure, but sadly wouldn't stand a chance in hell. Those gunpla world class competitors are almost inhuman in their ability.
Aayyy you made it! Amazing work David! You should definitely look some tutorials for posing gunpla models, I think you can get even more out of these

Oh, how many hours went into this and your other builds would be interesting to know.
Mr Damek. I think your’re one of the most influence scale modellers on ytube, and your works are inspiring. So, if there any chance to restore (or rebuid) old ang forgotten models? due to the current finacial situation that many modellers trend to spend money buying new kits, while there’s at lot of unfinished models who desserve to be restored and finished.
Could be a interesting challenge.
✌️😃
Holy moley! Thats just...wow.
Whoa, Plasmo doing gunpla? This is rare.
Great! Just effin' great! Now my feed is full of Gundam videos and NGE soundtracks. Goodbye, my well curated list of aircraft modeling videos.
The thing that would make the biggest impact on the final presentation is one of the most easily overlooked; posing!
Final posture of the model in the last shots was hunched over and awkward. Try to think about positioning it how you would stand up straight; the angles of your knees as well as your feet shouldn't be parallel and your ankles should be in line with your hips.
Gundam model kit are well made
