A B Music n More I own a RANDY RR1 scince year 2003. Absolutly no playing other guitar. Love it. But takes some time to get used to. Not made to be played sitting. Just stand playing. Do you feel confort playing stand (before the Randy Imean)? If not, believe me you will. Tip, adjust guitar stripe to your confort. Lower/shorter point of the guitar body must fit/anchor inner side of your right leg(for right handed guitar). Experiment with right leg forward or backwad related to the other leg. Sergio Czerweny thank you sir much appreciated! I’ve gotten a little more used to it and I really enjoy it now. But I agree, maybe I should start playing standing up.. yes, I have been comfortable in the past while standing. Plus it would be good practice.

V:s are awesome! It's without a doubt my favourite guitar shape. Very ergonomic, comfortable and balanced. Regarding Jacksons, I think even the cheaper models are quite good. I had a DX10D for years when I began playing, served me well until its retirement. Cheap Floyd Roses have some inherent flaws (ergo, too soft metal), but since these guitars are hardtails, that won't be a problem. By the way, the Captain should totally get a Gibson V. They were quite popular among some blues players when they were first introduced! ;)
I have been a lover of the V for a very long time.. but I found that Dean VMNT is my favorite V, also no headstock drop when you stand up.. they placed the strap lock button in a perfect place.

That's a very difficult question to answer. Different people will like different things; and remember, spending more money doesn't necessarily mean getting a guitar you'll enjoy more. I've played $500 MIM Strats that I prefered to $3000 American Strats. Go out and try as many guitars as you can, and see what you like. I personally love PRS guitars, but they get very pricey. I've been playing for almost 20 years and I bought the JS32T Kelly to treat myself a bit last year. As with most new guitars, it needed a tech visit for fret leveling and nut adjustments. Other than that, the stock Jackson pickups are decent, the tuners feel solid, and the pots haven't failed yet! It's a very nice, fun guitar to have around. I fully agree with the Captain that the neck feels like it could belong in a slightly upper range guitar. And it's also a more stable neck than I expected it to be. Thumbs up Jackson!
The most ergonomic shape is the dean ml, you can stick your leg in the v but you still have the third point making an angle for your other leg to go in while your sitting.
I did have the MartyFriedman model Jackson (Indonesian)made and man I gotta say the thing was just about flawless. With the licensed 'Rose' my Lord it stayed in tuned and even with the stock pickups sounded GREAT... I am a U.S.A. made guitar guy and you have to give credit when credit is due...If don't have the wallet for a custom shop or other similar, you cant beat these axes
How do you find the JS32 King V without the Floyd Rose rather the trhu-body bridge? i don't want a tremolo on it. THe one shown on their website has a floyd rose...
Just a note on why why candles, aromatherapy and speed metal equal relaxation. As you approach tempos around 240 bpm, 4 beats per second, the frequency of your brainwaves begin resonating at that frequency. For humans this induces Theta brainwave dominance much like a deep meditative experience will accomplish. Tribal drumming meant to induce trance state tends to be rooted in a backbeat around 240bpm.
The Rhoads model is not comfortable to play sitting down. Even when you wedge the back of the axe against your inner thigh like Lee Anderton is doing, it still feels too low to me, and there's not enough leverage to angle it upwards into a comfortable position. The King V is cut at a better angle for playing while sitting down.
Agree. I had a JS32 and I couldn't get comfortable sitting down, and standing up the neck dive was pretty terrible. Ended up selling it. For a $100 guitar (I bought it used) it absolutely ripped, though.
I bought mine from a friend who I jam with sometimes, he has quite a few of them. He mentioned selling it to make some room, I offered $100, and that was that.
V's are insanely comfortable sitting as Rob pointed out. Puts the fretboard right in front of you in an ideal position in my opinion. The output jack has to be in the right place though...thankfully the modern Jacksons are done right...
I have a Jackson soloist I left back home when I moved out west and since then I've been playing on a Gibson les paul studio which I live the tone, but anytime I go to guitar center and pick up a Jackson even lower end models its just something else. To me they are the ultimate shred guitars.
I love how that's exactly what I done to my King V, I turned round in the studio and whacked the horns against a door and well the edges are no longer blue like they should be...
Correct...it's a King V and it was named after Rob Crosby (nicknamed 'King') from glam metal band Ratt, who was the first one to use it as a signature guitar somewhere in the early 80's. Rhoads shape is obviously named after Randy Rhoads and the Kelly was named after Brad Kelly from Heaven, an early 80's Heavy Metal band. I just picked up the JS32 (with Floyd) as a beater metal guitar to drop down to C. Plays a lot better than I expected for the price. I was impressed with the pickups too. I thought for sure I would want to dump new ones in but i'm happy enough with the stock ones for what I am using it for. I needed to do a full setup out of the box so if you don't know what you are doing it will require a little extra cash to get it up and running but that is expected especially with a double locking tremolo. My only complaint is the placement of the pickup selector. It's between the tone and volume knob AND under where my whammy bar is so changing it quickly on the fly is a pain in the ass. I wish they would have placed it above the two tone knobs. Other than that it plays great. Perfect for a backup or first guitar. Definitley get the JS32 with the double locking tremolo if you're into metal!

Hey there! I have the JS32T White for almost a year now.I must say I'm really satisfied with that, it's very comfortable and feels amazing to play.I have the string-through body version but I'd like to put a Kahler tremolo on it. I've seen lots of Rhoads guitars with kahler systems but do you think it's worth to install one at all? I had a guitar with Kahler before and liked it, I just don't know if it's worth the money and how would it change the sound of my guitar. I'd really appreciate some help:)
I love V guitars, they may not be the most practical guitars, but they have great panache! I have two and never will give them up! One is a black 1994 Jackson JRR-94 Concept V, this is Jackson's spot model before they started making the Rhoades V as a regular production model. It doesn't have Jackson's trademark sharkteeth inlays but has everything else! It's one of my two very first electric guitars I bought on the same day. Couldn't decide which one to get so I got both. The other one was a red metallic 1984 Yamaha SC-300T Beach Banana. I still have both guitars to this day! The other V is an 1980s vintage Cort Flying V. Oh that reminds me, both of my Vs are MIJ! The Cort Flying V is transparent red with a set neck, an unusual feature of those Lawsuit era Japanese guitars. Both are still in excellent condition and I take good care of them including keeping them in their hard shell case when not being used! Except for those times when they're being displayed and played on.
my very first guitar was a Jackson JS30RR, so basicallly the predecessormodel to the one you tested here. was made in indonesia, not china though probably the best 270€ i spent in my life, starting the best hobby i could imagine back in 2005. edit: just found out this video was uploaded on my 24th birthday xD
I've got fender and yamaha electric guitars, basses, and acoustics. I picked up a js32t Rhodes Black with white bevels yesterday and now my kid's friends think I'm the most bad ass dad in town. \m/ \m/
They're called "squealy's" or pinch harmonics, it's where the skin of your thumb hits the string as you pick it, they're really cool once you get good at them. Just look up "How to do pinch harmonics" And you should be able to find how to do it You should learn and practice them they can add a lot of variety to simple stuff, hope this helped
RockGuitarLover add some vibrato to the pinch and you make that real squeal sound better it takes practice, and a fair bit of punch from your guitar too. it wont do it if your too quiet because it wont have the power to register through the speaker
great people to listen to doing this are Randy Rhodes with ozzy osbournes solo stuff and also surprisingly billy f gibbons with zz top will show you 2 different styles for pinch harmonics.

I'd really appreciate some help:)
so as GUITARRERAS AI as duas modelos são EXCELENTE
8:04 for a moment i thought it was amaranth by nightwish.. u know, the middle part near the end
Whats the song at 7:58 guys ?
I now own ne of these because of this video 🤟
I've got fender and yamaha electric guitars, basses, and acoustics. I picked up a js32t Rhodes Black with white bevels yesterday and now my kid's friends think I'm the most bad ass dad in town. \m/ \m/
At 7:41 nice angel of death i can never play that part!!!!!!!!
Hahaha, "If You have 500 quid and want a V then I suggest spending it on psychiatrist" :D Captain, You won :D
Right on Cap. Didn't know you played.🤘🤘
Quick question. The up stroke sound effect on 7:35/7:36 what was that and how did you do it. Sounded amazing. Thank you
He's sliding the pick over the strings, vertically that is. He's not picking the strings. Welcome my friend!
You guys should review the jay mascis squier and fender jazz masters! Excellent t guitars. Love your videos!
You Guys Rock !! 😎
I really like the King V I have a black one and play it all the time. I only wish they'd make a JS Series 7 String King V.. Then I'd be very happy!
How do you make those squealy sounds that Rob does?
They're called "squealy's" or pinch harmonics, it's where the skin of your thumb hits the string as you pick it, they're really cool once you get good at them. Just look up "How to do pinch harmonics" And you should be able to find how to do it You should learn and practice them they can add a lot of variety to simple stuff, hope this helped
Thanks that really helped!
RockGuitarLover add some vibrato to the pinch and you make that real squeal sound better it takes practice, and a fair bit of punch from your guitar too. it wont do it if your too quiet because it wont have the power to register through the speaker
Yeah, vibrato+pinch= Orgasm, but don't over use them, just toss them when you can to spice stuff up
great people to listen to doing this are Randy Rhodes with ozzy osbournes solo stuff and also surprisingly billy f gibbons with zz top will show you 2 different styles for pinch harmonics.
