- Trying a new was to clean filthy hats using the ball cap buddy and dishwasher. To be honest I was skeptical but since I often have ball caps to clean I tried it. Works pretty well.
So here is a short vlog about me trying it out.

Ballcap buddy is $8 for 1 amzn.to/36CKqT3 or $12 for 3 amzn.to/3dbQdS3
So much better than hand washing or using a bowl + the dishwasher to keep shape.
Thanks for sharing this Idea how to wash caps.
Thank you! It works so well. I'm a sucker for gimicky products and this one lived up to the hype. Tip: if you don't have a ball cap buddy you can use a bowl to keep the shape while washing and drying. Just make sure to sort of lock the brim by placing it well so it doesn't move around in the dishwasher.
Hold up Meryl...you titled this "Cleaning Dirty Hats"?!?! and not the more catchy "Meryl Cleans Baseball Hats in Her Dishwasher"!?!? I have never heard of putting hats in a dishwasher to clean. Also, probably a good idea to go with the packet vs citrus dishwasher liquid. LIKED.
That is correct. I thought "Cleaning Dirty Hats" would be more useful for people. I'm honestly still kinda shocked the dishwasher worked so well. I was hand scrubbing these things before!
I'm going to try and find a lavender dish soap or something for next time.
@@MerylBliss I always threw mine in the washer and dryer and just hoped for the best.
@@ChrisReknebVlogs No!!! That destroys the shape and longevity of the hat! Ballcap buddy is like $8 for 1 amzn.to/36CKqT3 or $12 for 3 amzn.to/3dbQdS3 . You can also use a bowl and some skillful positioning of the hat or hand wash it.
@@MerylBliss Meryl helping me not murder baseball caps since 2020. :)
