The thing that REALLY annoys me about the PlayStation Classic is that it got the physical reproduction absolutely perfect, but COMPLETELY fucked up with the emulator. All they had to do was just put a little bit of effort into how the games should actually play and they would've made a great mini console. But they didn't, and they rightly got fucked in sales as a direct consequence.
Since I'm from Europe Tekken 3 looks like it always looked. But I "hacked" the classic and added the NTSC to it. It's very easy to side-load ~50 games on a 32gig USB drive.
As someone from the UK, when these games came out when I was young, I never knew that the NTSC versions run a lot smoother than the European releases due to higher refresh rate and this saddens me. However, now with emulators around, I can enjoy the NTSC versions but still be able to get that nostalgic feeling playing on the actual hardware and the slower PAL version.
I'm also from the UK (Yorkshire), and back then I got my fighting games from a shop that sold imports, usually because I didn't want to wait for the PAL release. So I had the JP version of Tekken 3, and when it got its UK release, I played our version and was shocked at how much slower it was, also the image was slightly squashed, with black borders at the top and bottom. I'd never noticed those differences until I directly compared PAL games to NTSC one. I think it was at that point that I realised what the difference between 50Hz and 60Hz meant for games.
@@jecky82 It's still better deal than the PS classic, PSTV go around 200$ and you are looking at a console that is as small as a cellphone and can play all the games st fu has mentioned, pluse a number of PSP games and PS Vita games are ports of PS2, PS3 and PS4 games and play almost the same.
@@yahyano1 it wasn't $200 when I saw it. It was at $400 on Amazon. Plus I really don't want one coz I have a PSVita still and my PS3 is still hooked up. I'll just play my PS one games on those two.
I can’t believe I missed out on this part of the stream cause of *TOONAMI* that I always miss out half of the entire stream especially PSX night to request them to play certain titles
Toshinden was the first fighting game on the system. Sofia was the official mascot of the Playstation as well. Tekken 3 is better than Toshinden but Toshinden is better than Tekken 1. Respect your elder fighting games boys ;)
Since you bought it, might as well use Bleem Sync to hack it. You have to use a USB to add games that you use by plugging into player 2 usb port (use one with a light on it, if you watch the tutorial on youtube you'll know why). With the newest update of bleem sync, you can use a usb hub for player 2 so you can still play 2 player games and they just added retroarch cores to the emulator so you can play different consoles and arcade games. Best yet, you can access the emulator settings with a press of triangle and start. And you can add up to 50 games, no more PAL bullshit you can start with a fresh list of games!!
i think that some people dont understand how big playastation was, i mean g from 2d to 3d is a insane huge leap and i cant see how we humans can top that

I've modded my ps1 classic and you can replace the 20 games with your own games with the help of project eris.
