Good stuff Dave ( now that I’ve finally learned your name through the guy you purchased the car from 😉) always very nice content for us that are not as well versed 🤙🏻
Beauty job👍Looking forward to the leading of the quarter panels to the roof. I paid to have an old timer(even older than me) blast and lead my A and B pillars where they met the roof on my 86 Bronco. That was over 20 years ago and they still don't have a bubble, never mind rust. It was a b!tch driving the 4 miles home with no windshield sitting on a milk crate. 30 miles an hour is too fast with no windshield, spitting out sandblasting media all the way. Malcolm Ottawa Valley
Out of curiousity, how do you charge for a job like this? Just one lump sum? hourly? They pay for the metal?… Each piece have an installation price? Keep up the great work. 😃👍
So at this point are you going to put in the bracing for the super bird wing or are you going to wait and possibly ruin what ya have done to weld in the bracing. l think those braces are welded in but its your build and it does look really good
You need to invest in a good spot welder. You will save a ton of time welding as well as not having to do the grinding. Plus, it also gives a factory finish. Keep up the good work
Totally agree They aren’t cheap, but I borrowed a friends from his body shop and put some panels on my 240z, and they looked totally factory. Still a dang good job
Sure will! Jeremy @sortastock will be continuing on with the build and finishing all of the Superbird goodies. Can't wait to see it done! Better yet, to go for a ride in it!
I know that they make window plugs for this car in both steel and fiberglass and the back glass is dumb expensive almost 4k for it. But looking around for alternative means for a poorman plug like Daytona cloners use the vega hatch I heard people try and make hard top clones using 70-74 cuda glass trim and bits from the deck filler panels roof parts to make it yoy think that it would work?
@rustbucketrestos6511 yeah I what I was reading the fellas were saying it was close the cuda glass is like 2" smaller than the superbird and slightly different in shape or something but it's really close. If I was to do it I would go with a hardtop NASCAR look and use the steel cuda stuff and try to make it work instead of paying for steel plug and window and trim that is probably hard to get if damaged.
Is it just me or does it looks like the spot welds on the passenger side trunk floor nearly missed the frame lip ?, I'd expect the welds to run down the centre line of the frame lips. Maybe I'm just a bit to much of a perfectionist 🤔.
@rustbucketrestos6511 Indeed I wasn't saying it wasn't strong enough I've seen your work for the last 2 or 3 years and you're nothing if not thorough 😎, I'm a bit anal I suppose so lack of symmetry was bothering me 😮😂.
You make it look so easy buddy, great craftsmanship
I’ve had a little practice 🤣

Exactly! Lead is definitely the way to go. It'll last longer than the rest of the car does!
@rustbucketrestos6511 truer words were never spoken regarding Ford of that generation 👍
Hello from sunny mild, Central Florida. Well it’s trying to be sunny. Lol
Hi Robert! Thanks for watching! 😎🤙
Bro, just found your channel, great content. I'll be watching all your videos. Question....where are you sourcing the music? It's awesome!
Thanks for watching! I get all mine from Epidemic Sound.

Keep up the great work. 😃👍
It’s best to charge hourly. Customer pays for all parts & supplies.
Is that Mig to Tig welding?
@@uriahbleue1947 all mig!
@@rustbucketrestos6511 Cool, did you go to a technical school for auto restoration or did you learn all from your own experiences?
@uriahbleue1947 taught myself through trial & error! Thankfully I was good with a grinder long before the welder 😂
So at this point are you going to put in the bracing for the super bird wing or are you going to wait and possibly ruin what ya have done to weld in the bracing. l think those braces are welded in but its your build and it does look really good
The owner @SortaStock will be doing all of the Superbird upgrades. Definitely give him a follow!

I would LOVE that! I'm accepting donations as we speak!
Totally agree

Half ass kustoms uses a zapper machine that removes rust paint and has a welding adapter on it check it out
Great work buddy so is there going to be a video of the car when it’s done with the wing and stuff
Sure will! Jeremy @sortastock will be continuing on with the build and finishing all of the Superbird goodies. Can't wait to see it done! Better yet, to go for a ride in it!

I'll have to check into that! I believe the owner plans on using all fiberglass parts from Janak Reproductions.

They would all be spot on if they weren't 3/8" holes for the plug welds. I feel sorry for the soul that would ever have to remove the trunk pan...
