- In this episode I show you guys how to make an indestructible frame jig / chassis table for your B body mopar. This one will fit all 66-70 Dodge & Plymouth B bodies! This jig turned out amazing and will sure make life a lot easier when it comes to restoring these old rusted out mopars. Next up I'll be showing you guys how I use this jig to replace the rear frame rails on the 1970 Plymouth Superbird tribute. Please subscribe to stay up to date.

It’s good to know we “don’t” need a frame jig to do major work, however it does give a great deal of peace of mind having one…🤔
Thanks for the instructional video on how to build one. 👍
Now I have a new project and goals…😉
Absolutely! Good luck!
Nice work and I like the flow of your videos…a nice balance of chat,Timelapse and realtime how-to.
I appreciate the feedback! Glad you enjoyed it.
Great instructional video, most likely this will be a go to video for years to come. Well done 👏
Somebody’s gotta do it! I hope it helps everyone else out with their builds!
@ carthedge classic kinda had a video on building one , but yours set the standard
Great video! You are right. Little to nothing on RUclips regarding how-to-build a frame jig. I'm planning a frame jig now for my 57' Chevy 2-door hardtop. All the panels, floor, truck, inner quarters outer quarters, rockers, truck floor and damaged repair to A-pillar await me. Gotta start with a flat, square and parallel surface if everything is going to line up correctly. Thank you for your contribution.
Thanks for building this.great that you involve your sons
I’d rather them be in the shop with me than be on electronics any day! 😎🤙
Great work my friend and get your son T Bone right in there can’t wait to see the replacement of the frame rails
New video early next week!
Looks really good. Joedaddys garage made one out of an old boat trailer. Came out great.
That sounds like a great idea! I'll have to check out that video!
Just Mopar Joe has agreat build series on the 500 stroker for this car ! Cant wait for him to put it on the dyno! It sounds very healthy!
Sure does! Can't wait to get the engine home!
Joe is THE MAN!
Just saying… 😎👍
@heavensmopars sure is!
really cool to see you improving more in your capabilities. Keep learning, keep growing. Get ready to share it with your boys in the future. Proud of you!
Thanks for the kind words! This thing definitely turned out better than I ever thought it would!
Great job....can't wait to see more content.....thanks...🔧🔧👍
Thanks for watching!
Getting too professional on us 😂😂 Outstanding, love how you have grown since the beginning. I think we all have learning.
Haha thanks for the kind words! I think the jig is long overdue!
Was wondering when you were going to get around to building one. Thanks for the video! It will be very helpful when we build ours!
Awesome! I’m glad it’s helping others with their builds!
Excellent work! Glad to see those boys putting in some time on the build too. T Bone sure has grown! Still love that intro!
I think they are just excited to be done with the jig so we can start cutting on the car again!
Nice work Dave! Could definitely use a jig for a couple of the projects in the shop! Might have to attempt this in the near future.
I hope the video helps you out! Thanks for watching!
FYI concrete floors or slab floors are many times pitched on purpose for drainage. Also settling is going to occur with slab floors, consider what kind of wire mesh or other reinforcements engineered in the floor, control joints over time can become uneven etc. Guess I'm trying to say everyone thinks their concrete surface is imperfect; because it probably is due to being engineered that way on purpose and/or naturally settling over time. Sorry had to say it! Thanks for the videos.
Unfortunately my floors seem to be designed to drain water into my garage… they are awful! One of the many shortcuts my builder took when building my house. Thank the lord for leveling feet! 😎🙏
Very nice instructional video Dave, it looks amazing. I have watched AMD and GYC use jigs like this and everything always stayed true. Priceless asset to have in your arsenal.
Thanks brother! It’s sure gonna make life easier!
@ I’m happy for you. Give a high 5 to T Bone for me!
Great job! Solid construction. That baby will never flex.
Thanks man! I’m really happy with how it turned out!
Team work can't beat team work.great looking frame jig long time coming.
You ain’t kidding! Thanks for watching! 😎🤙
Excellent work guys!!!
Thanks for watching!
Great job , big job , amazing fit
Thanks brother! It sure turned out pretty good!
Amigo vos sos un artesano Y la tenés re clara Saludos desde Argentina
Thanks for watching! 😎🤙
love cam racings channel as well 😁
Cam is a badass!
Nice work!
Thanks brother! 😎🤙
amazing work ethic !!!!!
Thanks brother! 😎🤙
Looks great, Only, if you didn't, the levelling leg might need a locking nut, so that when you are tweaking things on the frame/Jig the legs don't vibrate out of level (Cheap insurance)....... cheers from Australia 😃👍
Wish I could have done that before I welded the top nut on! 🤣
Nice work. I may borrow some your ideas to update my Jig. I added pockets on my jig to mount my Laser level - Might be something to ponder.
Most definitely!
Making your own 3X4s! and tapering the 4X4s? That's impressive. Those tapered locator pins remind me of something to do with vehicle jacking points. It'll come to me. For the MkII(after you're forced to sell this one to someone who "has to have that"), think about using the 70s stock car threaded elevation rods that the Pettys used. Very impressive prepping and painting crew. Gonna build a lean-to shed on the side of the garage to roll that into to store ? Great work. Malcolm Ottawa Valley
Thanks man! I need to build another one for e bodies! There will definitely be some enhancements!
Looks great I’ve been planning to build one. Got boat trailer for base (as in Jo Daddy)
My questions are how do you plan to adapt to differences between Plymouth and Dodge rear half locating holes? And same with the 2 different Ebody mounts. And if your like me I also have ABody 🤷♂️. I’ve always had a Mopar addiction 🙃
Good point! Having some flexibility would be great. Although I have enough cars undergoing metal work in my shop that I’ll probably just build a second one for e bodies.
Nice and very heavy duty jig 👍 May I ask why did you do brackets to front bumper bolts and not pins under rail?
I may modify this part of the jig. I think it would have been better to put a pin on a piece of 1/4” plate with a bolt hole that bolts into the front k member hole in both sides. It would make alignment a whole lot easier!
I’m guessing you’ve seen Carthage classic cars. He did a good video on making a frame jig. Great work on yours!!
He makes some great content! I definitely watched his before making mine!
Gute Arbeit Grüße 😁
Thanks!
That’s a lot of work! Is the jig only going to fit that car, or do you have to re weld the pedestals?
All 66-70 B bodies. I’ll have to make another one eventually for e bodies if more make their way to my shop
Nice job! Could it be modified to be used on a different model or brand ?
Anything is possible with a plasma torch & grinding wheel. For now it'll be exclusive to b bodies.
Very nice job buddy, I'm sure that this car can only benefit from this jig being used.
Absolutely!
you ARE an engineer and your little man is primed to follow you at least until puberty strikes, i wish you well lol
Thanks brother! 😎🤙
Nice job on the frame jig! Just curious but do E bodies also fit this dimension or will you be able to add adjustable sections depending on which vehicle you’re working on?
That would be nice! In a perfect world it could be used for both. Eventually I’ll probably just build another one for e bodies. Need to find one that is in good shape to build the jig off of!
Will you be adding any support to the middle of the jig?
There’s a high likelihood that another set of casters and leveling feet will be added. I don’t want to risk any flex!
@@rustbucketrestos6511I thought I saw the middle dip maybe 1/4" when you first set the body on the jig. Great work so farr definitely ready for future projects 👌
@@rustbucketrestos6511 You will need a center span support, or it will flex. You may have gotten away with it if you had used an I-beam, but not with rectangular tubing.
Muito bom, seu vídeo tem tradução de português Brasil 😅😅😅😅 ganhou um inscrito da gringa e vai ai meu joinha e
Thanks for watching!
My friend used to tell me nice job, now all you have to do is everything else!
🤣 sound advice from a good friend! The work is never done!
Are you going to muscle cars on the strip in march
Yes sir! I’ll have the Ratty Satty there competing in the autocross events.
@ I meet you last year I plain on doing more this year see you there
@roberthirshfield3571 awesome! See you there!
Kevin Shaw(?) of moparconnection is looking to part ways with his project CARcass Dodge Superbee if you're looking for another project.
I’m trying to buy it!!! 😎🤙🐝
@rustbucketrestos6511
Excellent!!!😃 I hope you get it. It will be good content.
Just waiting for a reply back from him. I’ve been wanting one for a while! 🙏
@rustbucketrestos6511
I hope he hasn't sold it yet 😕
Cam racing channel building a sweet 70 charger. He built a frame jig from scratch as well. Did a fantastic job
He mentioned cam in this video…11:15
@ i made a comment before that.
@@DirtyOleMopar interesting
Cam is a badass! 😎🤙
4:34 Where is the link to the chassis measurement diagram?
Added the link to the description! Thanks!
Probably, a little sturdier than mine. ruclips.net/video/m6Dl_PWdQCs/видео.htmlsi=WtS1hzz0wQsr6FLS
I definitely need to redo a couple of things after I get PFF off of it.
I'll check it out! Thanks for watching!
