The last time my mother{now deceased} went on the upper level on the Queensboro Bridge was in 1980, great video!
This is the one that was featured in the opening credits of Taxi.
All you need now is the taxi theme music
There’s an outer level on the Queens side is absolutely scary, and it’s too tight to cross, but now, we got an upper level instead with two lanes each direction, the outer level in the Queens side is only one lane. The Manhattan side on the outer level has pedestrian and bike lanes.
Note the work train on the IRT Flushing Line when you make that sharp turn to the right.
Where in manhattan do you have to get in order to cross into Queens ?
This is the bridge that Bane left standing in TDKR. lol
roadwaywiz I took a roosevelt island red shuttle bus and the bus went over the same roadway as you went over
That's a cool bridge! Have you ever drive the lower level of the bridge?
my brother calls this bridge the spider-man bridge
Roadwaywiz can you do the lower lever
didn't they rename this to the "Ed Kotch Memorial Bridge" or something? It is such a stupid name but that's the state of NY for ya?
I prefer the "59th Street Bridge" moniker myself. Can't get any more local than that.
