- The Queensboro Bridge crosses the East River at midtown Manhattan as it leaps over Roosevelt Island below. The bridge opened in 1909 and has been a landmark in NYC since its opening, due in large part to its unusual design and appearance...
Also Includes: Midtown Manhattan panorama, Roosevelt Island Tramway

Make sure to bring 15 dollars, its worth it! Smooth hands
No congestion on the Queensboro Bridge? It’s a bloody miracle!
Man, I wish it wasn't so foggy so we could see the awesome skyline!
I really would like to see another video of I-495 westbound heading towards Manhattan. The best views in the world!
We used to take this ride to Sloan Kettering every week day the previous summer. May 22, 2011 was the very day she died.
Peter M I know the feeling. I use to go see my daddy on Roosevelt Island my last day was August 19, 1979. Sorry for your lost.
Thank you for your kind thoughts. My girlfriend and I each lost a parent before she died (mother and father respectively) one month apart. I still think of her every day.
Best wishes, P

This is the Bridge filmed in the Opening Credits of the Taxi TV Series 1978 to 1983. Actor Tony Danza drove a Cab across the Bridge filming it in 1978.
I'm amazed at the lack of traffic !
I synched this video (audio off) with Sinatra singing "Young At Heart" and suddenly I was reliving my college years and my wonderful trips to Manhattan. For some reason I remember most of those days being overcast.
Great video what street was the one you took to turn right going on the Bridge?
there is a secret bridge that goes from queens to roosevelt island but a little lower than queensboro
Ava Rhee Jablonski I know what bridge you are taking about is the roosevelt island bridge
Jack and Justin mr met fans 1974 Chow *TALKING
I wish this bridge was connected to I-495, that way, the Long Island Expressway would be connected.
15 dollars please.
The Queensboro Bridge doesn't have a toll, actually.
Neither do the Brooklyn, Manhattan, or Williamsburg Bridges.
@@grantorino2325 That is because the City owns those bridges. The rest of the major bridges and tunnels in NYC are owned by either the Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority or by the Port Authority and not the city. They are both private enterprises and the reason why they have tolls, and pricey tolls at that, lol!
Pay to the order of Adam Eget for services rendered...
@@grantorino2325 I is asking for the TOLL of George Washington Bridge
@@samuelbotelhodocanal-oakla4813
The toll on the George Washington bridge (eastbound only) is $16 if paying in *cash* , $13.75 if using *EZ PASS peak* , and $11.75 if using *EZ PASS off-peak* .
Westbound, though, it's *free* , since nobody really *wants* to go to New Jersey.
😁
Now all you need is the taxi theme song
Cue the "Taxi" theme.
The lower deck is more romantic.
It’s even more romantic under the bridge.
The upper level is perfect, the lower level is good, but they didn’t do the lower level, and the eastbound only outer level is the worst, they never drove the outer level, because it’s the section ever, and it’s a scary one. They should called the eastbound outer level, the nightmare level.
@leonardwilson85Thanks Leonard, BTW Have you actually been there?
They have pedestrian walkway there, don't they?
marcello silva yes
It's nice and wide.
Brandon Johnson it’s on the other side, and the outer level goes to Queens which is still a scary ride.
hideous bridge
