  • Opened January 11, 1961, the Throgs Neck Bridge carries Interstate 295 over the East River, connecting the Bronx and eastern Queens. This bridge is the main route for traffic between New England and points north and west, and Long Island. The bridge's towers are 360 ft. tall and the main span of the bridge is 1,800 ft. Including approaches, the bridge is approx. 3 miles long.

    Any bridge or tunnel that connects the 5 Boros within N.Y.C. should be toll free. 🤛🤛
