Really terrific work. From the small carters to the biggest names, you captured the feeling of just walking around at night in Manhattan. I even watched this one twice ;) Perfect timing too, as some of these guys will be shut out of the market when the franchising zones hit in a few months. I particularly enjoyed the bucket attachment at 3:12, not unlike the City of LA’s new ways. I wonder how much time they really save with that though. And seeing a 5000 not currently or formerly owned by DSNY is a real treat! But 15:10 took the cake, having seen that unit around myself and letting it escape - twice! And the DSNY shots at the end wrap it all together nicely.
Appreciate it! Glad you enjoyed. Was a really fun night. We actually went right before those new containerization laws were implemented. Goal was to film some restaurant piles. Planning to go again soon and check out the changes
Buy them a soda or something they deserve alot of credit your service is deeply appreciated thanks don't work to hard even at night time job well done you should amazed and proud love you guys ! Joe
Residential 3 days a week Monday Wednesday Friday or Tuesday Thursday Saturday for trash, one day a week for recycle. Commercial usually every night but Saturday night although some may go less frequently or more frequently
3:37 - The garbage truck has a trash can instead of a dumpster overturning device. As I see the blackbird has wheels, so the bin can be removed from the garbage truck. 4:15 - There should be segregation of garbage. And in the video you can see that there are cardboard boxes in the garbage truck and they throw mixed garbage.
Poland and Europe in general is much better at recycling than the US. Without colored bins in New York City, most material ends up in the trash. The city is slowly making changes though
Great video, good work from you, more videos, longer 60 minutes and more interesting videos to watch and you have to wonder how much garbage some residents put on the street, yes it fell😄
Wow, UK trucks take 3 bins at a time and are automated, soon as you put the bin on, it lifts it to tip it and bang it, all automated. 1 bin at a time would drive our guys crazy…

very nice and various compilation of the New York Garbage Trucks ! Great thanks for posting , bro !
Appreciate the comment!
They need to pay these men better. It's obvious with their wages, they can't afford a belt.
Funny how you bring up the fact that they’re underpaid while still managing to disparage them.
Fantastic footage of all the different trucks in the city! BTW, what day(s) are trash pick up for them?

Appreciate it man !
Nice job and great variety of trucks too!
Thanks!
@@ct_refuse You’re welcome!
Us down here in GA would run CIRCLES around these boys. They slow as hell 😂
@@quanlolley4024 once upon a time New York was great. Got so regulated by the city. They banned riding on the back which really killed everything.
Id love to see that. You GA boys wouldn’t last a week in the 5 boroughs. My Sunday night weight is 3 days worth of your work😂
awesome video
Can you imagine how many rats per day they crush alive ? I am calling PETA right now
Dsny supports it
This looks like a fun job!

Great video. I do alot of work for NYC waste haulers (carters). Great to see almost everyone was wearing high viz and PPE.

My area in Canada mixes streams at times. It wouldn't get done if they didn't mix.
DSNY has dual stream(split body) RELs, I don’t think many private haulers use split bodies.

How have you been.... Manchester has 2 newer macks out there today!!!! 3376 and 3377
Been well, I saw a picture of 3377. Are those permanent Manchester trucks?
