JBG - you're correct. two antennaes give you an elipse (kind of a figure eight) along the axis of the truck. Further forward and back, less out to the sides. Body of truck will interfere backward but not much. Tilting antennaes will have an effect but probably not predictable enough to make sense. Tilting back will increase reception from in front but decrease it from rear.
2 antennas have to be properlly spaced to work right and be directional. Alot of guys dont realize that two whips on a truck are way too close to work as they should. The radiation pattern is distorted and they will be competing with each other. Just run good center load whip like a wilson 500 center lpad trucker antenna. And dont tilt them forward that is stupid! Lol
They have to be phased to work properly, I had 2 Francis 102" whips on my 1970 FORD Torino GT with E. F. Johnson Messenger III, worked slick as grease with first Generation 21 channel rig.
If your antenna is at 45 degrees to the ground your signal polarization is also changed and your signal will be less effective. Kip it at 90 degrees to the ground and you will have a strongest signal.

I don't care for "Live Streaming" either, except for special occasions. Unless they are at a scheduled time, I avoid Vlogs of live streams, as they often run many hours & I have only so many hours in a day and it requires time to monitor the dozen or so trucking Vlogs on RUclips that I monitor, in addition to emails. 😎

The Antenna MUST be straight up and down. And you can use 2 Antennas. Just make sure there "Tuned" correctly for the lowest SWR possible.
