    Honestly, I’ve had the game for almost 2 years now, and I still pull up your movement tutorial and spend time in the lab before every smash session

      thank you! Honestly people think they tend to know it all, but it's important to refresh always!

    This is so useful for characters struggling to get the kill

    The first half of this video also shows how powerful neutral air-dodge is when being juggled. You only showed directional air dodges, but the neutral version has way less cool down and if timed correctly can get you out of, or at least drastically reduce the opponent's window to punish

      i still have a directional air dodge habit, working it daily

      Although neutral air dodge is a good option, I kinda find it unreliable sometimes. For example, lets say a Mario up throws me and goes for an up air. I neutral air dodge past it but he comes down with a nair popping me back up above him. Putting me in the perfect spot for him to hit me with another up air.

    This is the type of guide I was looking for thank you very much that was helpful. I liked and subbed thank you so much. I just started playing the game and that is all people have been doing to me is air dodging out of my follow ups and I have been letting them get away for free. Huge help. I have been watching every guide I can but this is def one of the most helpful so far. Boom

    Really good video! Baiting definitely improves performance for all characters but especially for characters with fast fall speed and good frame data.

    Jtails in future smash videos can you use your rob a bit more. I've gone through all your previous Rob videos but i would love to see your rob play style more in elite smash or arenas. Love the content! Keep it up

      Hey thanks for commenting! What do you mean by shadowing?

    • @nezuko0429
      @nezuko0429 4 года назад

      Jtails “shadowing is the art of using your last location as a advantage.” According to smash 4 player absoul. Here’s the video that he made on the subject: ruclips.net/video/3MB98-J9JaU/видео.html

    Is it better to bait at high than low percents because most moves connect well at low percents?.

    How do you honestly punish morph ball? I find some characters can deal with it better than others

    • @saigesmart4167
      @saigesmart4167 4 года назад +1

      yeah im not hating on the video but he picked the wrong character to demonstrate on, samus realistically has a ton more options than shown here, morph ball stalling offstage, wave bouncing neutral b, and he never really mentioned down air either (not really the best option but the "noob" option becomes a mixup when timed right)

    what about the Links and Cloud that can use the sword while falling back to ground?

    • @JulesTrades
      @JulesTrades  4 года назад +1

      yeah that's something also that you can bait. just move to the side bc those moves ONLY hit downward. Do a jump knowing that they're going to dair downwards then move to side and punish hard. ez

    • @Shevchenko2099
      @Shevchenko2099 4 года назад

      Jtails - got it, I’ll try that; do you have tutorials on how to “nail down” opponents when they are recovering? and how to counter or defend agains that while recovering?, I use down + A in a fast way with Byleth, but I never hit them; if you hit them before reaching the edge of platform, they’ll go straight down the floor with no chance of coming back when over 45% around. Doctor Mario and Byleth are one of the strongest punches like that, Mario and King K.Rool do some sort of inverse uppercut which gets you really easy if not dodging, they get me 70% of the times, they can hit almost from anyplace near you and you are done.

      I only say this because I know samus mains and the drift on down b can literally change the encounter completely

      That's really not the point. It's about the concept. It doesn't have to be against Samus, and it doesn't need to be Fox's up-air. This is a video about baiting, not a tutorial for any sort of specific optimised set-up.
      If you're focusing on the exact example used and thinking "this is how I win" rather than focusing on the principle behind it then you're taking the wrong thing from the video.

    • @TheSneakyVikingJarl
      @TheSneakyVikingJarl 4 года назад +1

      I think he picked samus because she was the most utilitarian for the video. Ie baiting the air dodge, baiting grabs and dash attacks. All these for samus are high commitment which is why you would want to bait them
