as an anime only at that time, i really really loved the cinematics of season 1. the trailer looks fantastic don't get me wrong but im also little conflicted. let's see how they'll handle it.
Really loved Ryuu Nakayama's cinematic vision for season 1 and it truly breaks my heart to see how much hate he received for it. I'm still really looking forward to the movie and know yoshihara and the whole staff will cook a 5 star meal for us.
Same, I really love 3d animation honestly, and I think chainsaw man handled it well. I was introduced to anime with Beastars, and 3d animation has become my favorite ever since, until i realized it's really hard to make look good and so many people dislike it. I hope people learn to utilize it better overtime, cause I would love to see shows animated similarly to csm season 1, but in a style that a wider range of people are happy with
The artstyle looks similar to Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2, but it is a bit different. The art style change is close to the manga art style, making it more better. It seriously looks really good, I'm looking forward for the movie release.
I don't hate the season 1 director(half the stuff I didn't like was probably more due to mappa then him), I hated the season 1 sycophants who got really nasty when I said that I wish the show took a different direction(like ED 3 and 8) and how I didn't vibe kick back(I prefer Maximum the Hormone over Kenshi Yonezu/Kenshi Yonezu just ain't for me). I'm happy with the change in style and adjustment in direction but I do wish Nakayama(I think that's how is name is spelled) the best of luck. 4:39 the fuse wires split at the tips of Reze's fingers is the one detail that I didn't ask for yet I am extremely happy to witness when the trailer came out. 5:38 and I didn't even notice this at all(never knew I wanted MK 9 x ray moves in chainsaw man either). Also I just like the direction of the EDs over the actual episodes so hearing that Shouichi is getting a bigger role is interesting.
Old style was better, it had much new effects/creative ideas, characters had glow in their eyes, now they plastic, they add very fast low quality frames like jjk with much smoke... Will see mb they will surprise us
People bashing Ryu Nakayama like season 1 wasn't a spectacle.Though Nakayama vision was too taxing for the animators, I still believe season 1 was near perfect in terms of animation. From the movie trailer, Nakayama vision still feels present but without the realism restrictions. Hope it turns out to be good!
The animation was amazingly good but personally I think it affected the pacing of the show. Since theyre doing a more grounded version of CSM, I feel like the movements are sluggish in some action scenes. Tho moments where its just silent or serious are perfect fits.
Speaking of cgi mostly in close up shots. The reason is pretty simple. The chainsaws needs to revolve, rotate. It should move and it can be only done on cgi. You can't animate it in 2d, they looks they don't move. And this effects only possible on 3d. And the model is quiet hard in slow motion but the chainsaws was the main reason for cgi every time denji transform. Mankoman did explain it pretty clear. So no, it's mainly because of this, the tight schedule still kick but it wasn't the main reason. Even though some cuts meant to be 2d but went with 3d because of time strike Now that I think about it, I wonder if they gonna use it in film too, if not then the chainsaws most likely will be still. And that's not chainsaw begin if it doesn't rotated.
You should pick up chainsaw man part 2 again, it is obviously a lot slower but it’s still really good, just a lot less action, some of the most recent chapters have been amazing, the only real complaints I have for part 2 is that the chapters are too short and the art isn’t as good as it was in early part 2, the art still looks great and it’s better than anything I could draw, it’s just not what it used to be, it looks a bit rushed at times, the panelling is still godly tho
I really loved season 1 animation style and I honestly prefer it over this one but this style is way closer to manga and still looks amazing so I am really looking forward to this movie and hope it will be as good if not better than season 1

@@HenbotStop worrying-Season 2 will most likely complete Part 1 by 2027. As for JJK, it probably won’t finish until 2027 or even 2028, which is kind of rough considering that’s 8 to 9 years of anime adaptation compared to Chainsaw Man’s potential 5 years. If MAPPA doesn’t change the ending for JJK, the backlash could be even worse because anime-only fans will have waited longer than manga readers-6 years for manga readers, and 8 to 9 years for anime-only viewers. I never liked Nakayama's Realism bullshit. It's 2D animation not a live action, it's supposed to be wacky and full of energy not the realistic movements
