You guys are amazing! It’s been 15 years since I had A dirtbike accident and became a paraplegic. After the fact I didn’t wanna do anything I just wanted to sit at home and be by myself. you guys gave me the motivation to go out and try new things. I have the seat discomfort flag on my door so every time I walk out it reminds me to do something out of my comfort zone that day. And since this marks the 15th year I would love to go skydiving. It scared the mess out of me but I want to overcome that fear. If you guys were ever in Arkansas I would love to skydive with you guys. It would be a dream come true!! Much love💜

The change won't be easy but I'm eager to embrace everything that comes with it. I have actually just started the navigating change course on Headspace. I have never tried guided meditation before, but now I'm hooked. Skydiving has been a drem of mine ever since I was little. The skill level of the chick flying (it was the chick doing outside video, because she high fived him on the ground) was awesome. Such a high skill level. She was also wearing a lead weighted belt to help with her fall rate.

This made me cry with joy and excitement for Staffan and how much courage he showed while overcoming his biggest fear. You inspire me and motivate me to continue to embrace and love the same mission as y’all’s. Seek discomfort means the world to me and has helped me overcome the small fears I struggle with on a daily like anxiety and depression.I would love to begin the seek discomfort package. I feel like it could be the push I need to overcome and begin my own personal healing journey.

Watching this gives me motivation to do something outside my comfort zone. Edit: a day later and I went on a hike that's super tough, really high up and very steep drop offs. I conquered my fear of falling to death or falling in general. When I got to the peak it was 2,528 feet tall, about a 2,000 foot drop straight to ground on either direction on the peak of the mountain

Staffan - you're now officially initiated as a Yes-Theeory-ist! I've watched the 3 lads, Tommy and Cam be initiated into this crazy, inspiring, life affirming group, and now I've watched you take on the this most incredibly difficult task. The wonderful thing about this is you didn't do it alone, but others shared in your memory of feeling the fear and overcoming it. A head full of fears has no space for dreams...I can't wait to watch your continuing journey through seeking discomfort x
PS - amazing camerwork, editing and storytelling team - had me in tears...of joy and amazement of course!!!

What an amazing thing to do such a thing for someone we truly and strongly love and care for. Keep it up please and keep spreading those messages of love, support and positivity. YES all the way.

This is the channel of which videos I’ve cried the most. I have a crying streak. The most biggest thank you for what you guys do and making it possible to expierience these journeys with you through emotions and discomfort seeking. We all grow together.
I come from a small country Latvia, been watching your videos for the longest time, extremely grateful for all the free headspace subrictions and knowledge as well. Flying to me associates with complete surrender and ableness to just let the wind take you. Thats why birds are here to remind us just that. As I’ve started the package and cried my eyes out, I’ll let this video sink in.
    All love🌱☀️

This is so powerful! I wrote this down on a piece of paper and put it on my desk as a daily reminder - "A head full of fears has no space for dreams". I'm seeking discomfort by speaking up and doing things differently. I've spent years just trying to conform and that feels comfortable. Now let's make some dreams happen!

I have never been sky diving, but it is one of the few things I promised myself I would do to push out of my comfort zone. The one true fear that I have is falling, so this would be one of the hardest barriers to overcome. After seeing Steffan break through such a tough emotion was one of the most inspiring things I have seen, with that being said, I will be sky diving after my graduation next year in 2024. A gift to myself to prove that no barrier should be left unbroken. Face Everything And Rise, I will hold this saying forever. Thank you guys for continually making life changing videos and inspiring millions to Seek Discomfort. Love you guys, keep changing the world

What an amazing and inspring video! I love how Staffan, even when scared to his core, keeps spitting those inspirational quotes xD.
I myself have had a huge fear of heights my whole life but 2 years ago I started rock climbing (first indoors only but then also outdoors) cuz my best friend has been climbing for 12+ years. Now recently I have started to overcome my fear of falling by purposely making big falls (first 2-3m, last week I fell 10 meters). It's so hard to let go when you know you will take a big fall but the feeling afterwards is unbelievably good. Skydiving is definetly on my Bucket list and this video has motivated me even more to take the big leap!

I’ve been watching and enjoying YT vids for years but this is the 1st one to actually upset me. To kidnap your friend and make him do something that terrifies him deeply isn’t cool. This really crossed the line into cruelty. I was afraid of heights growing up and then eventually was diagnosed with a rare blood pressure disorder. I learned that bungee jumping or skydiving could kill me. You guys are really lucky that Staffan didn't have a medical episode as a result of that jump. I believe we should seek discomfort but not ignore the signals your body is trying to give you. Ultimately we should all seek survival.

    • @angellacanfora
      @angellacanfora 11 месяцев назад +4

@@nicolems What really upsets me is that they put Steffan in a no-win position. If he’d refused to do the jump, after all the efforts, time & money poured into this, he’d have risked humiliating himself and/or losing his lifestyle and extended family. It was a terrible thing to do to him. Look, YT helped get me through lockdown with their fun & positive vids. I think ultimately their hearts are usually in the right place. I just hope they don’t lose sight of their humanity in the pursuit of likes. Some fears are perfectly valid, like a fear of being water boarded or being raped. Doesn’t mean we have to endure simulations of every frightening experience to try to overcome it. Some fears need to be respected.

When I started subscribing to this channel years ago, I loved the message. Shortly after I subscribed, someone spontaneously asked me to go skydiving the next day. My brain was telling me hell no, but I paused and slowly said "suuure...". When the door opened of the plane filled me with fear and away we went. I'm happy it's off my bucket list and happy that I said yes instead of no.

I'm from Luxembourg, and I'm seeking any kind of discomfort. Battling with PTSD for the last 4 years at only 22 years old means that my comfort zone helps me feel safe. Thanks to therapy and the work I've put into myself, I am now stepping out of my comfort zone again and rediscovering what it felt like when I was a little fearless kid. I have a drive for discomfort, but things still get in the way. It would matter if I could challenge my way in any way possible. Wether be singing in front of a crowd, skydiving, or dancing freely in public. Anything that allows me to discover the world. Thank you for your videos.

Especially having just finished the first part of the Seek Discomfort package on Headspace and after jumping straight into the abyss of realising what discomfort is to me. Good to see I was not the only one crying while watching this video.
I went solo skydiving 8 times in summer 2022, unfortunately weather, schedule and (mostly) fear have been preventing me to jump again ever since.
But watching this episode... Man, I still remember to this day how I felt after every jump. Just like Staffan: on the other side of your biggest fear... are the most blissful feelings and moments of your life.
I'm French and even after 8 skydiving jumps, I still cannot embrace my fear of heights.
But this video motivated me so much to go back and skydive. And also try wingsuit one day.
Thank you YES THEORY. Your content, your community, your spirit, your mindset... All that is a true blessing to humanity.

This looks like an incredible experience and now I too am proud of Staffan because many short years ago, that was me.
