In this story we go with Mike Coots, a shark attack survivor and now conservationist to go back diving with Tiger Sharks... The same sharks who attacked him years ago...

Glad you did a video on these misunderstood animals. They need conservation! Big respect for Mike, protecting the animals that bit of your leg!
way to go!!!
They are mostly killed for their fins, not because people are scared. That's the conversation that needs to be had
Hes a coward. He just submits and accepts the sharks attacked him. A real man would wage a war of extermination. I got bit by a dog as a child. Now I visit different dog parks and piece up every single dog i see.

Nice information
For some reason, I cried while watching this video. Maybe I just felt so humbled by the experiences of the people who’ve gone through great lengths to help understand and conserve sharks.
ruclips.net/video/GuACEVvHP9s/видео.html
Agreed. The numbers and footage around shark kills is such a gut punch. The waste and disrespect and horror...
Same!
Wait, we don't ALL cry at every single Yes Theory video?!?
You should look into an organization called Seafood Watch. It helps you learn about the implications of the seafood you eat, so you can support industries that cause less shark bycatch. You might also like the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy. They have a bunch of videos here on RUclips that look at the work it takes day in and day out to conserve large sharks.
I think that Yes Theory is the only RUclips channel I have ever come across that has simultaneously made me feel deep emotions, entertained me, and taught me more about the world and the people in it than any other place on the internet. This video alone made me feel compassion for sharks and their species and taught me not to trust the monstrous image of sharks that is so often painted in the media. Thank you Yes Theory for everything you have done and let's all seek discomfort!
And better content than other creators having massive subs and audience…these guys share experience rather than 100 people compete for car bullshit
This is exactly how I feel aswell and I’ve been watching for about 2 weeks now
@@arishia005 I’ve been watching them for like 4 years now…I would also recommend FEARLESS AND FAR their content is 🌪
Absolutely, their way of capturing and and showcasing all of their adventures makes you feel so so connected to them and you feel such a special connection after every video! Absolutely one of the best channels
...& the dinner tonight is shark fillet. Somewhere on the menu is shark fin soup
Crazy how he described the shark experience. Very well spoken.
After that life changing event, you could forgive him for saying "nah I'll pass on swimming with sharks" but. The. Guy. Made. It. His. MISSION 😳
This video just made me more scared of lightning ⚡️
Yes Theory makes me realize there is still good-hearted people around the world, despite all the negativity we consume on a daily basis via news, socials, etc. Thank you for these amazing videos, God bless.
Yes!
I’ve never even been ankle deep due to my irrational fear yet I’m absolutely fascinated by sharks. This video has inspired me to change my mind. This year I will swim in the ocean.
I love this! Good luck 😊
You can do it! The ocean is magic ❤
@@Jessicahurst1 I know it is. Is pure bliss. But I’m just so bloody scared. I know the stats of even seeing a shark but there’s just something inside me that is telling me I’m going to that person. I’ve gone down in subs and things of that sort but I really need to just conquer it. BUT in clear water. I am in CA and our coast line is riddled with great whites right now.
@@kimbirdsong2103 our minds are capable of scaring us a lot more than what nature can do. Good luck!
@@kimbirdsong2103 The odds are so incredibly low compared to driving in a car, etc. I know you said "irrational" and I get that, but you really should just dive in. Conquering that phobia will likely help you in many other areas of your life as well by creating confidence and momentum. Worst case, you go out a legend ;)
Man, listening this man tell his story, wow..unbelievable the mindset and the way he coped with the problem. Much respect

God bless Mike's heart, this guy is so present that he was probably the strongest one could be in that situation.
Thank you for touching on the importance of protecting our ocean and its inhabitants
Mike has such a positive mindset, what a legend. Huge respect.

First comment z😫
I am SO PROUD of Thomas. I really did expect another Wim Hof moment where he was terrified to do it; but he just got straight in there. He's come a long way from being scared of cold water to jumping straight in with tiger sharks. Love this dude.
My comment it will be one in millions and I don't usually comment in any vídeos our pages and also don't have social media... But this Chanel is the most incredible Chanel I have ever watch. The Energie.. The love... Believe me, I cry a lot watching what You do... Thank you só much for every signle vídeo, thank you for the messages you are spreading to the World... I have no words.. What You do is public service, awakening people for what really it's going on in the World. I learn a lot with you. I admire you, thank you so much. Love from Portugal
I had the pleasure of going out in the water with Ocean and Juan too. Such amazing and kind humans. I’m so happy you guys put this video out to raise awareness. Mike seems like an awesome guy and I loved hearing his story. I absolutely love your channel and am grateful for all you do!
i remember when i saw ur first video we miss you tay tay
Do yourself a favor and watch more of Yes Theory’s content/sub to their channel! All of their videos are life changing!!! Like legitimately!
Hey I just wanted to say I stumbled across your recovery story long ago and I hope you are still doing well!
ruclips.net/video/GuACEVvHP9s/видео.html
Coincidence doesn't exist.
The true definition of seeking discomfort. Love it.
the fact that a courageous women represent one of the most dangerous passion/ job that most people would not even want to try, kudos to her.
Technically being a traffic warden is much more dangerous, heck how many garbage men are killed every year.
I love how yes theory has a combination of inspiration, education and humor in their videos. It makes me feel like I’m doing this with them even though I don’t know if I’d have the bravery.
Who agree that these guys are making really quality content on RUclips.. just best channel yes theory . I can't ever ignore thier videos.
I am deeply touched by the story of Mike...and hats off to Mike, Ocean, Juan and many other fellows who are doing this work of raising awareness on Sharks and ocean life....the nature and its beauty. Thank you Thomas and Yes Theory team for bringing this up....I am humbled by the experience watching the beauty of sharks
Though not as massive, I got to dive in April in the Maldives with a bunch ( I guessed about 40 but others thought it was much more) of big nurse sharks. I really need to post the raw video of us. I have 3 videos of 11 to 12 minutes each and we are kneeling in the sand with the sharks. It was crazy, it was shark, diver, shark, diver, shark, diver, shark just all sitting there on the bottom. So incredible.
That plane animation is so good! Well done to the editors 👍👍
Except the real plane wasn't an A380
Thomas' story telling is so good man, and Yes Theory's videos are like top quality documentaries.
Weeell this hit me straight in the feels. THANK YOU FOR MAKING IT and bringing the awareness that you did at the end.
I've had an irrational fear of sharks all my life and as you were talking about it is the main reason I am terrified of going into the ocean. Watching your experience in this video and seeing how truly misunderstood these animals are has honestly completely changed my perspective around them. Maybe I won't be so petrified and reluctant the next time I get to go into the open ocean. Thank you guys, genuinely.
When i saw you guys were making a video about this i had to watch it immediately! This video brings so much emotion, heavy and delightful, as i've always loved the ocean since i was young. When i was about 8-9, i learned a lot about the danger humans impose on whales, dolphins, and sharks and even tried my best to advocate and create a website at the time to educate my peers, and even went on to present my website and the donation links of the organizations helping to fight protect this magnificent creatures at the time and always asked those to donate for my birthdays instead of presents. I've followed Ocean Ramsay for about as long as i've followed you guys and to see these two worlds conjoin was amazing. I know my boyfriend thinks i'm crazy, but i'd absolutely love the opportunity to swim and dance freely next to the power of these beauties. One day i'll make it happen.
I can't believe I found Ocean Ramsey in a Yes Theory video. As a professional photographer, Ive followed her for years. Her work with sharks and her incredible images have truly shown me and made me actively protect sharks and conserve as much of them as I can! She showed me to truly love them and is awesome seeing her here!
This is one of the best edited videos I've seen on this channel,
I loved the pace, the story, the emotion, the humour.
Fantastic work.
i cant put in words how much respect and love i have for Yes Theory
QUALITY IS GOING INSANE!!!! Love to see the growth in each of you and the content you guys make! The plane transition was so dope!
“I thought we were going to see like one tiger shark…” this is one of the funniest and genuine lines I’ve ever heard. Cracks me to pieces. 😂😂 I picture him thinking in his head of like a sign in the middle of the ocean saying “the tiger shark”….love it.
I really admire the fact that these guys are able to throw themselves into such uncomfortable situations and I can live vicariously through these videos because my anxiety could never
Never stop making these videos man, you have inspired me for years! Love yall!
This year I joined a marine conservation group in Portugal and I learned a lot about the marine life. That the impact humans have on the marine environment is unreal. We went to see marine mammals but we also learned al lot about sharks and sea life in general. This video reminded me of that great experience! Thank you Yes Theorie! Keep up what you doing!
I swam in open water with Galapagos sharks in the north shore of Hawaii and it was one of the most calming and peaceful moments of my life.
That sounds like an amazing experience 😄
Sharks are so amazing. They don’t deserve what us humans do to them
Sharks have always been one of my favorite animals. So glad you're bringing attention to how misunderstood the beautiful creatures are & how important conservation is. ❤️
Thank you so much for making this video. I was so happy when I saw Mike and Ocean in this.
This video was really emotional for me. Just something about it was just amazing, seeing the beauty of these creatures, and seeing someone who cares about them so much. I literally started crying during this video cause of how amazing this was. Much love. Keep it up.
Your videos always surprise me and that's why I'm subscribed. The clicbaity titles always makes me think that is going the be another "hype and trendy video without any purpose" that is so popular at the moment, but then I remember that you channel is one of the few that it's actually different and brings up important matters on their videos and try to make an actual positive impact on them. Never change, you guys deserve even more views than you already have.
Truly an inspiring story by Mike. I am so glad that you are helping with conservation of sharks! People have such a wrong perspective of these species.
I hope that sharks can be saved from extinction and that I can have an experience like you guys one day. Greetings from a diver and shark lover from the Netherlands 👌🏻🤙🏻
I cried, thank you guys for spreading awareness about these gorgeous and majestic animals
Every YesTheory video tells a different perspective of the subject and always right on point. Another masterpiece worth watching and sharing.
I am absolutely petrified of sharks and the ocean in general and this really opened my eyes in a positive way thank you so much to them for sticking up for these creatures
It is a wonderful documentary, Thomas! Sharks are beautiful creatures on earth and you meet these wonderful human beings.
I love the comedic relief at the beginning😂 Seeing your personalities emerge throughout such a unique human experience makes it that more unique and special. I feel like I’m there with you every time I watch a video, so thank you :)

Sharks are one of my worst fears. Welldone guys! Such an inspiration wow! I wish I had such genuine, kind, loving, caring people in my life.
Your team is more than that, such real friends that you've grown with for a long time. Awesome!
Such an amazing video 👍🏻
Keep up the good content ❤️
If you’re going to open dive with sharks, glad you had experts like Ocean Ramsey with you. I’d be as nervous and anxious as you guys were, but I’m sure it was reassuring having a solid team with you. Thanks for spreading awareness about the true stats of shark attacks, long line fishing etc.
ruclips.net/video/GuACEVvHP9s/видео.html
At 9:22 is an eye opener! The life perspective and the amount of gratefulness Mike has is inspiring! This world needs more people like him! Thank you!
I’ve only recently discovered Yes Theory, but have loved the message in every single video clip I’ve seen. This one is particularly moving - as a diver of Chinese descent I’ve had a hard time trying to convince my family members to stop eating shark’s fin and be more discerning of where their seafood comes from. Sharks are beautiful, essential creatures to marine ecosystems and it’s great that Thomas and Tommy got over their fears and did the shark dive to help spread the word. Love your work, guys, keep it up! ❤ 🦈 ❤
You guys are moving in the right direction with the channel atm. Thanks editors and the team overall :)
Loving the 'Extra Comfort' headrest covers on their plane to Hawaii considering they were in many ways Seeking EXTRA Discomfort on the trip!
Such an incredible and powerful video. Thank you for shedding more light on this issue.
Wow once again you guys amaze me and get out such a critical message - my own research in the past was with sharks as well and they are such amazingly beautiful things seeing them glide through the ocean is an absolute treasure. Thank you for showing this
These docs just keep getting better and better - your fear was palpable, but getting in the water and getting those astounding shots blow me away. Well done fellas for bringing these incredible creatures and the kind, thoughtful individuals who want to preserve this species to our attention.
Thank you for using your platform to talk about sharks. Respect
One of my favorite yes theory videos. This was so important to see and spread! I hope to see you guys return and do this again!
Thank you for the wonderful documentary and the awareness on what is happened all over the world with these spectacular species. Blessings to you and your team for these wonderful documentaries.
It was amazing you guys did a video like this. As a shark diver and photographer it means so much to me that you guys were able to spread this message. I’ve had the pleasure to dive and photograph tigers as well and everything you said was true. They are not mindless man eating monsters but just curious creatures like us. My good friend Jim Abernethy dives with them all the time and you should see some of the beautiful stuff he gets.
I was having a bad day but when i got the notification of yes theory video it brought a huge smile in my face just lots of love to the people who are watching just keep spreading the positive energy yes theory ❤️🙏
I am so glad you’ve been making such impactful videos lately. This one brought me to tears in the end. Such beautiful creatures, I hope they’ll stay on earth longer.
Mike is a big inspiration ❤

CONTENT! I swear you guys give us sooo much, you’re on a different level and I’m so grateful that I can find such wholesome content in a space of empty trends and materialism.
So proud of Amar and the crew for working so hard on Iceman but I can’t wait to see him back in more videos!!!
As a surfer, that shark attack story had me in tears - what a warrior
Thank you for this epic video! Loved every minute of it. The topic really touched me. Genuine people changing the world one step at a time following their destiny.
Really happy you guys made this video, its a really important topic and info that needs to get out
Seeking discomfort is quite an understatement!!😨😨😨
I think I have watched every single Yes Theory video at this point. Not a single one has given me more anxiety than this 😂
Mike’s story is amazing and so inspiring and I’ve been wanting to work with Ocean Ramsey for a while! I love sharks so this episode is amazing!
another amazing video from you guys. Thank you for bringing to light more conservation efforts for our animals, especially for sharks,.
Love you guys. Thank you for everything you do for the world
I am extremely scared of sharks and as a result have not been in the ocean for about a decade. However, I found this video so touching. Seeing the shark with a broken jaw was heartbreaking. And for what? Selfish, lazy, wasteful “fishing.”These creatures deserve appreciation and protection.
So thankful for this beautiful story and video presentation. I've always loved the Pacific but this gave me an even greater respect for its Beautiful Creatures.
What a beautiful episode. I only started watching Yes Theory recently and this episode is one of my favorites. Thank you for sharing this and for showing this side of nature and of sharks
I was dying to see a good underwater video from you, beautiful people 🤜🤛
Brilliant editing, bravery, good content 👌 👏
ruclips.net/video/GuACEVvHP9s/видео.html
Hannah and Juju are among the most experienced staff at One Ocean and are also awesome people~ so glad you got to go out with them!! So lucky that Wasabi came to say hi (and maybe Roxy? She’s got a badly broken jaw as well). Thank you for sharing the plight of sharks and working to change how folks perceive them 🤙🏻🦈💙
This is really the best channel on youtube. Thank you guys for the videos you make. Lot’s of love to all of you ❤
YES... Another brilliant video.... Changing thoughts and perceptions on how we see our world from a positive point of view.
Tommy is my favorite of the channel. He's so funny and honestly so cute 😍 So glad he's apart of all this!
Love your energy and thank you for sharing it to your audience and to me
Your works really give positive vibes!
If somehow, by any chance you guys think about visiting Georgia, that would be amazing!
This gotta be one of the most beautiful things a human can experience! Like she said, we gotta treat these animals with a high healthy level of respect and they need to be protected. Mike's story it's crazy but his perspective on it it's absolutely incredible and brave, no resentment, not hate but love and compassion for these creatures and the environment. What humans do to these species is atrocious! Great video guys!
Amazing effort to bring about awareness. The way we eat is destroying the planet, as individuals we can make better choices. Moving toward a plant based diet is a small step but this is the impact it will have.
That’s not what this video was about people eating meat is not the issue and that will never change.
Wow this came out 1 minute ago
Amazing video! I just moved to Oahu a few months ago to study marine biology, so it was really cool to see you guys doing doing something I'm so passionate about in the same place I'm studying!
This is honestly so inspiring. For years i had been interested in surfing but never actually tried it because of my fear of sharks. Once i finally tried it and felt in love with it i realized there's a choice; either let fear stop you from doing what you want, or overcome the fear and live a good life.
Swimming with sharks is a "No Theory" for me
Yes theory editors should make a editing course. You guys are so good!!
Thanks
Love how you combine exciting adventures with very important information about our world!
I cried about a really gorgous shark today.
I think you depicted the shark the way the marine biologists see them. I always love your nature shots guys.
Yup
Nice first comment
Your are truly the first comment 🎉
Fantastic video. Stumbled across this randomly and so glad I gave it a watch. Changed my perspective for the better
Ocean and Juan are the best people, grateful to have worked alongside them for a few years! Cheers!
Woah! You guys are so brave!
