I started using collagen in my morning tea over a year ago...... arthritis improved slowly but surely. Today I am pain free and will be 60 in a few months! Will take this everyday for the rest of my life!
I have been using collagen now daily for the last 3 weeks now in my morning coffee. I feel much better and my husband has noticed greater stability and strength. Also, I have been giving it to my partially crippled puggle, who is 10 plus years old. I was told that he would live no longer than 6 months. A vast improvement for him. I've been giving it to him for at least 2 months now. He's able to walk fast and get n and out of the house now without being carried. I am so grateful.

Took beef collagen peptides 20 grams per day and within 4 days my knee was feeling 90 percent better. And within 2 weeks it was back to normal!
I started taking collagen at the age of 17 after experiencing a knee injury from wrestling. Doctors recommended cortisone or surgery. The doctor was really pushy about the cortisone so I caved. @Thomas DeLauer can you go more in depth on the types of collagen? Apparently you cant take 1&3 with 2. What about the benefits for the brain? Is it just collagen 4? Where can you even find that?
I’ve been taking it every day along with L glutamine & other vitamins & minerals yet I have SIBO resulting in me not receiving its affects . My once nice nails are short from breaking . I’ve aged much in the last year . Not sure how to get it’s affects . It’s suppose to heal the lesions in the gut which is why I started taking it religiously .
I think that people don't place enough importance on skin health. Skin is the last to receive any nutrients you consume, so if you have to use lotion every day or get rashes then you are deficient in something or are accumulating capillary damage which indicates the potential of heart disease. You could be deficient in fat if you are dry, proteins if it is saggy or lacks elasticity, minerals if it is dry or saggy, if there are tiny red spots/veins it could be inflammation or heart disease. Skin is also the first line of defense between you and the outside world. Basically, anything that is good for the skin is having many times the beneficial effect on the inside of the body. It is not all about vanity to have beautiful skin.

If you found this informative, you may also be interested to know that some people say that we absorb collagen peptides from cows better than from fish because we're more genetically aligned with cows. But this is not necessarily true! There is also research showing just the opposite!
@@harryviking6347 kale, broccoli, spinach and beans but you are better off eating meat, chicken, eggs, salmon, almonds, legumes, pumpkin seeds, oats. You can always google information. Very basic stuff. Don't eat junk or prepackaged food.
Omg all of the proteins in any fruits and veg or grain and seed that you believe are complete proteins ARE NOT biologically available to humans! Our digestive system isn't capable of breaking down those types of fibers. You eat all of those fruits, veg, seeds and grains etc, all the body does is pick up the sugar and use that for quick energy and the rest just comes out as stinky poop. Straight through one end and out the other, because the system can't digest any of it with any efficiency. You get all gassy and bloated because it's just sitting in your gut fermenting, then that massive bowl of salad and beans and tofu all come out the other end, one massive stinky ball of poop. You can't tell me that doesn't happen because it's a fact that it does. On the other hand, meat, and animal fats are very easily digested in the human body. The saliva, tummy acid and bile work together to digest meat and fat easily, it doesn't sit in the guts fermenting and making you gassy and bloated, and the abundance of vitamins and minerals and amino acids from the meat and the fat are absorbed by the liver and intestines and all of that goodness is used throughout the human body to rebuild and repair, and when it comes to going to the toilet, there is very little waste, and it doesn't stink the house out. There is no such thing as vegan or vegetarian collagen. You can only get collagen or gelatine from animals. You veggie guys have to make do with stuff like agar agar. Collagen and gelatine are far superior.
Thanks so much Thomas!!! You are inspirational!!! I use collagen (bone broth) everyday. I’ve noticed after my hard workouts my muscles don’t feel totally wasted. That’s super important for me as I am lifting weights (I walk a lot too) and the fact that I don’t feel totally worn out helps me continue to do my weight lifting. I believe a reason I stopped lifting weights in the past was due to the ragged way I felt afterward. Sticking with the lifting and bone broth, I’ve noticed I’m getting (girly) guns!!!! 💪🏻I’ve also noticed an increase in the health and the texture of my hair, nails and skin in general- face it- for women and men to look less tired and NOT your age is a huge plus!!!

@@BigBadJerryRogers
Hi !!🌞
I'm sorry to hear that, all I know is that you have to drink the right type of collagen . What I drink is : ORGANIKA "Full Spectrum " Collagen Type 1,2,3
Before that I drink "just" collagen and I did not have any results..
This 1 2 3 is different. Sometimes you have to wait 5 months to see any positive changes, I achieved it after 3 months..but, also completely changed my diet, which certainly helped to keep my hair from falling out...And one more thing I start to rub in my scalp is NEEM Oil...🙈 suppose to help, but I just start and is to early to say that it help...CHeck this info about this oil on You Tube. I hope this will help you...good luck 👍🌞
This video is so helpful! You are amazingly intelligent, a great teacher and I love your passion! Thank you!
How did I not find your channel sooner!? You’re a life saver. This video is facts from the beginning to end and life changing facts. I’m definitely going to add more collagen to my diet and hopefully I’ll be feeling a lot better ❤️
I am 69 years old. 20 years ago I had debilitating joint pain in my knees. I could hardly walk 100 feet without having to sit down. After 6 months of taking gelatin supplement everyday I was almost back to normal.
Are you able to walk now? Can you share what strength gelatin capsule you took? Thanks
@@revathik9225 yeah my knees are great. I ride my bicycle 100 Mi or more every week. I didn't take the capsule. I took the Knox gelatin powder. 50 g in the morning in my orange juice.😀
I work in a very physically demanding environment last year I'd come home on my heaviest day and take a paracetamol for the aches after. Since I have been using collagen my workload has increased due to the lockdown but my recovery is far better dare I say I have more physical endurance. It's a great supplement gonna be in my diet from now on.
Pretty good for rehabbing a broken bone. I fractured my elbow a while back and just got into rebuilding the strength again. I started taking a collagen supplement at the beginning and I feel like it’s helped.
Learn to swim ;)
@@grimzee, I like what you did there lol...
You forgot about hair and nail benefits of collagen. ;)
Can it help provide thicker hair?

Very good helpful videos..and always without cursing which makes it easier to follow the videos..very professional..thank u
Thank you for always being so informative, I was really lost as to why everyone was recommending collagen powder and didn't really know which to take.
Thank you for helpful advice. Would love a video on making or showing your favorite bone broth recipe! Never had any. I have osteoarthritis and degenerative disc disease along with a herniated disc. Just starting keto diet. Appreciate the scientific research findings to back up what you're saying.
Learning so much from you!!! Drinking my Keto hot Chocolate with ice as I watch. Please keep up all the great work, research, and dedication. More info and tips for the 45+ crowd would be great. Also, if you could...any research or tips for women in perimenopause who want to utilize Keto to help us manage symptoms...guiding us through all the changes going on. With gratitude...Jen G.
This is for sure one of the very best information channels for nutrition and health! Thank you so much! This is so inspiring and it helped to change my health and at least the quality of my whole life!
I take collagen every morning, I'm on the right track! Great info and thanks for sharing! ♥️ God bless! Jae
Such a great video. No other channel has such long form, easy to digest vids
Thnx Tom. I want to say I love ur vids and also Dr Bergs Bc there’s not a TON of editing or cuts between every sentence. Not dissing those who do that. It is just easier for me when someone isn’t cutting in & out. Thnx again for the hard work my guy!
When is the best time to take it?
How much should we take it?
What kind of collagen suppliment should we buy?
Plz include complete information.
Nice content. Thanks Thomas.
Of special interest to me: 8:33 ... I don't do protein shakes. Instead, I normally have a 12 oz bone broth with 2 scoops of collagen post workout and have noticed I'm not sore after a full day of intense hilly terrain hiking. Not coincidentally, on days I don't have the broth with collagen I've noticed it takes me longer to recover.
Thanks so much for this comment! I don't do shakes, either so your is an excellent idea. Bravo ;-)
I have 8oz with my dinner after wrestling practice and I have never had a problem with my joints. Lots of protein in there too.
I love the thomas delauer old school information videos like this one. It’s nice to understand why it’s good rather than knowing it is. Thanks thomas!
ever seen the brand College Inn for chicken stock/broths?
"College Inn" said out loud = Collagen...
blew my mind when i realized this
I swear I just discovered that also a few weeks ago. Mind blown!!! Lol

Just ordered my collagen brother! Thanks a lot! I have heard a lot about the perfect keto collagen just never got it. Well I will have it soon!!! Thabks for all of your knowledge on keto and nutrition, it's really helped me along my keto journey! On my 4th week of keto and I'm down 14lbs brother!
You probably hear this alot.. but you are a "life changer"!! Keep doing what you do!!
Thomas, vid idea after watching this if your interested😃👍-
What Veggies are best consumed raw, slightly cooked, and cooked well?
Im sure this matters on many bio levels. Prebiotics, to nutrients.😃 Thanks man. Great vid btw ☝
I have real issues with my bones at my age. Bone broth has been pretty much my only way of getting collagen. Thank you again😊👍
Yes, good idea, different veggies are better assimilated and digested when either cooked or raw. I'd be interested in a video about that.
I ordered that Perfect Keto stuff months before seeing this video. I just had a glass....confirms now that I made a good choice.
Gotta love ya mate. Thanks for being an angel for us all.
Thanks for the coupon for the special 5 free single collagen packets !! got mine to try !
Best health and wellness RUclips channel, bar none.
Excellent science backed information again! Thanks, Thomas. I never thought about using the collagen powder before bed, but now I will and will hopefully sleep cooler!
I'm 65 and have had a real bad case of inflammation. Got my Collagen Peptides product today and will use it in my coffee. I will update you on how it works for me. Thanks for your video!
im gonna have to watch this a few times there's a lot to unpack here, SUBED really informative. thank you..
From Indonesia. Thank you Mr. Thomas Delauer, His knowledge of Collagen is very useful.
As always, great information. I literally just bought collagen powder and then saw this video. Thank you!
If you liked this video, you may want to know a fun fact! 1/4 of the proteins in the body are collagen proteins!
Awesome video. Type 1 diabetic, 2 weeks now into my keto diet and just bought some collagen 2 days ago feels good.
Hair loss is a long term side effect some people have after having covid. I started losing hair after recovering from covid. I started adding collagen to my morning shake and not only did my hair loss stop, my hair got thicker.
Bo llocks.
Thomas as always you deliver exceptionally well researched material that is vital to anyone who wants a healthier and longer life. Keep producing these great videos.
I have been having Bovine Collagen 1 scoop or 2 if I've exercised that day and I think it's helping with my elbow pain, oh and your Hair and Nails grow like mad :-) x
ilovetosew andsew --- Hi',☺ What brand of collagen, do you use? and how long, did you use, before you saw a difference, in your hairgrowth?
@@hyrumyung651 Hi Hyrum, I get one off Amazon that comes in a Tall Plastic Tub called Woldo Health Collagen Pulver 100% Collagen Powder. Doesn't taste of anything, I put one scoop in a glass of diluted juice. My Hair is thicker and and longer after 3 trims in 6 months but your nails grow faster and stronger as well :-)
ilovetosew andsew Thank you!, 🌹so kind of you, to respond
Noreen N Thanks much!😊
Solid video on the uncommonly told truths about collagen. Thank you!
I tried bovine collagen first, and it severely exacerbated the psoriasis outbreaks I have. I switched to marine collagen and it doesn't cause psoriasis outbreaks.
Thomas, thank you for the information and explaining WHY. I've been struggling with various tendonitis all my life whenever I quickly ramp up a certain type of training, whether it's running, swimming, hiking, whatever. I've recently started taking in foods or supplements with more collagen. Hopefully it will help with recovery and maintenance so I can train an do those activities I want to do. (Of course I do need to be sure to train gradually and do all the other things to support good health.) Thanks again for the info!
Ohhh my God. Just hoping for you to come out with this video. AWESOME. I just ordered it.👍
Glad I could help!
Never thought of taking collagen cause i thought it was just for women but i recently started taking it daily and my bones feel stronger as well as my muscles
Hi ! Is taking collagen good for diabetic person?
Thank you for this video. I know the effects of COllagen with the skin, but, all of this especially the liver is highly needed
@@KekeeBlack true, skin is also our biggest organ,it's very underrated:)
Started at 190 lbs, went down to 150 lbs on keto, now Im at 170 lbs with 20 lbs of new muscle, all thanks to Thomas
No more Q&A videos Thomas? Used to love those.

Thomas 2 questions: #1 Can you take Collagen with Coffee ? and #2 if taking to help out liver when having a drink or two, when is it better to take the Collagen, ie before, during or after ? Thanks, I'm 70 and try to stay fit. Keto is helping me lessen my liver fat that has been there forever .Enjoy your video's.
Collagen is the fountain of youth
Good information. I have started taking collagen peptide a few days ago. Now I have more confident that this will help.
I fast from 3 pm to 11 am each day.
Will a collagen drink break my fast?
Thank you for sharing this upload 👍
This is life changing knowledge for the better.
All the best with your channel
Amazing content as always man, keep it coming!
If you found this informative, you may also be interested to know that some people say that we absorb collagen peptides from cows better than from fish because we're more genetically aligned with cows. But this is not necessarily true! There is also research showing just the opposite!
Started taking collegen and have reduced back pain
Could you do a video on the vegetables with the highest amounts of protein and the most complete proteins?
Eat good quality meat instead! Plants are no good!
green beans, spinach, and broccoli
@@harryviking6347 kale, broccoli, spinach and beans but you are better off eating meat, chicken, eggs, salmon, almonds, legumes, pumpkin seeds, oats. You can always google information. Very basic stuff. Don't eat junk or prepackaged food.
There’s more protein in a potato than a steak!!! Stick to like oats chickpeas beans loads of legumes like
Omg all of the proteins in any fruits and veg or grain and seed that you believe are complete proteins ARE NOT biologically available to humans!
Ty for the information! I clicked and added it to my cart. It's $85?
How about talking about collagen peptides, hydrolysate, gelatin ... what are good brand, what’s the difference, which store has them?
Thank you so much for all your insight 🙏
I found your presentation very informative, thank you :) What effect does taking a collagen supplement have on collagenous colitis? I haven’t been able to find an answer ...
Hi Thomas i am not doing keto so is this keto collagen a good one for me to use. and thank you for the informative videos
Wow, had no idea the benefits of collagen. I definitely could benefit from all areas mentioned.
This video was so amazing. Thank you Thomas. Getting some Collagen right now
Thomas, great video, I use collagen in the morning and was curious about what would be your recommended daily intake of collagen? Second, it’s obvious that your in excellent shape but I’m wondering if you would do a video on your bloodwork, A1C and liver enzymes, triglycerides and so on to show everyone the great long term effects of the keto diet and exercise.
Great video! Thanks for all your videos, they are so informative! 😃
Could you make a video on how to choose a good collagen supplement. Recommended daily dosage is also something I am confused about.
Dimitrina Spasova I thought your body can’t absorb collagen supplements?
@@karsonhutchinson2488 This is why I am confused. He recommends one brand in another video. But isn't it better to drink bone broth?
The collagen supplements he is recommending are all about the same molecule size so you are absorbing about 30%, I believe.
Ever since we did the bone broth fast, been using it ever since, but also collagen powders, i have noticed i have sleeping better, better than when I started keto lol
