    In Dec. 2023 I began talking hydrolyzed collagen and did so every day with coffee and sort of forgot about what it could do for me. Once in awhile I would look closely at my skin and noticed nothing better. Nails were terrible as usual. I was using topical Minoxidil for hair loss which was working great, so it is hard to tell about my hair, other than my hair loss was no more or less. So I figured it was going to be a big let down. I continued to take it and suddenly by about the 5th month I wondered what was different with my body. Then I realized movements that made joints hurt not longer did. The aches and pains of old age were 90% gone. So that is worth to me more than any cosmetic effects. Hubby reports the same.

    Great video but I've got a couple questions...
    (1) If hydrolized collagen is a protein broken down into individual amino acids, then how do we know whether the body will actually use those amino acids as collagen in the body, and not turn it into some other protein that the body needs instead? Are we just assuming the body does indeed convert at least some of the amino acids into collagen because studies show an increase in pro-collagen, hydration, and elasticity in the skin after a prolonged period of intake?
    (2) Also if collagen is broken down in the body to amino acids anyways, then how is that any different from taking hydrolized collagen?

    • @Junkinsally
      @Junkinsally 4 месяца назад +2

      Because your body needs the amino acids to build your own collagen. If you’re suffering from any of aliments mentioned, you’re lacking the proper levels of amino acids to make collagen.

    • @Katiee0592
      @Katiee0592 27 дней назад

      Our bodies were designed with very specific details and processes. We may not know the answer, but I have no doubt our bodies know which group of amino acids goes where for the most beneficial outcome. Great questions tho! A very simple way to get collagen.I get a rotisserie chicken from Sam's. Heat it up,take all the skin off, and eat that.loaded with collagen. Next cut all meat off and put in 1 gallon freezer bags. Next take carcass and make a bone broth soup,add some chicken bouillon, some onions,some carrots and have a chicken broth soup.very tasty,very healthy. Good luck and good health.

    collagen peptides help my stiffness? My doc is sending me to a rheumatologist for further tests. I have always been very
    active. Your advice would be appreciated.

    Collagen does get assimilated in the body, yet only a small percentage 10%. If you're taking collagen for the protein benefits, it's not a complete source of amino acids. No matter what source of collagen is being consumed, it's missing tryptophan. Whey protein is also assimilated in small percentages by the body 15%. Every part of your body needs amino acids in complete protein. These are facts.

I've been using this off and on for six months to a year, 🎉and the only thing I really noticed is that joint pains are minimal or gone most of the time. My skin is the same as ever, which means no new wrinkles. I have always had great skin without blemishes, so normal and healthy. Hair is great, too. I will alternate depending on availability and pricing which brands to choose. If it ain't broke....❤🎉❤

    Is there any study comparing taking Collagen vs taking a good quality complete protein?! Many people are just protein deficient. Since both, collagen and protein have to be broken down to AC, our body will use them accordingly to where it's needed, not where we want them to go. 🤔
