Cool video. I assume that you are pretty busy with the word catching fire, but I will always be interested in you showing us some of your favorite places.
Is that your Alma Mater Joe? What a beautiful town!! I wouldn’t call it a city! It looks in town just like every American thinks of when thinking of England! I would have loved to go to Uni there!
Hello Joe. Greetings from Copenhagen. I really like that you are interested in many different things which you share with us. So not only do I share your views about Ukraine and politics but I also think that your videos are a great inspiration for those of us who like to travel, see new places and meet new people.
Hi Joe Durham’s fab but nearby is a completely different but amazing city - Sunderland of course! The trouble is our University doesn’t care about our Heritage so it’s scrapping off the last remaining (purpose built by lottery funding and given to the Uni for £1) working glass making Heritage centre in the UK despite the fact that 37,000 people have signed a petition asking them not too and to hand it over (for £1) to someone who can manage it properly. Come up to Wearside (on the same River as Durham City) and I’ll give you a tour of a city that helped build Britain. Great vids.
I'm from just west of Durham City, called Langley Park... If I knew you were there I would of popped into the city for a pint and we could discuss many many COLLAPSES!!! :D ;)
Might be good for students, I've been in the past to the historical attractions which are good, took the wife there shopping last year.. she was not impressed, If shopping is your thing go elsewhere. The indoor market was like traveling back to the 1970's😂 bit backwards to tell the truth. Other nice walking, scenic, historic, north east places I rate high, Richmond, York, Whitby, Helmsley, Fountains Abbey.
Obligatory comment about the unnecessary frame rate conversion, which makes the video look juddery. BTW. It's interesting that I comment on each one of these and YT still doesn't recommend them to me. I don't watch them anymore though, because the unnecessary judder annoys me. I would watch them if you edited them at 30 fps.
Spent a year and a half as a research fellow at Durham in the late 1980s. Beautiful place but weather is awful. I had a couple of Old Etonians in my class, undoubtedly Oxbridge rejects. Surprisingly (or perhaps unsurprisingly) they were not too bright.
Joe! Thank you for this great video! This is definetely a video Jamie would have made if Sherpa was still around with us. His videos show the UK unfiltered and undoctored and are effectively promoting tourism in the UK. Sherpa was a good boy and we miss him! R.I.P. Sherpa!❤

I live locally and studied at the language school for a while and I must say I agree with the assessment of the restaurants and cafes 👌

Get your numbers right the cathedral is 900 years old
they used to build good things.... :/
Stick to the finance blogs Joe.....
Unfortunately UK universities are toast. Not in the Erasmus+
and the economy is still crashing not being in the EUSSR.
Also there were plenty of student exchanges before Erasmus and there still is .
Erasmus +? An exchange with the University of Navarra or Lecce?
Erasmus is for the members. Plus is for the outsiders.
@@crazystarwarsguy1006 Our 🇪🇺 economy is not crashing. There are other currencies that will self destruct.
