      Pretty much, basically there were only two Pro Bowl QB's that came out of that draft, Trent Dilfer and 7th round pick Gus Frerotte.
      In fact, the two best QB's to come out of 1994, weren't even drafted AT ALL, if you can believe that! There were two QB's that went undrafted in 1994, one of them was a 4X Pro Bowler and took 3 different teams to the playoffs througout his career. The other is an NFL Hall of Famer who many consider the greatest undrafted player of all-time.

Kiper was wrong about Dilfer, but Tobin completely screwed up this draft and nearly every draft until he was let go. Thank god the Colts got to pick Peyton Manning and lucked out getting Bruce Arians as QB coach for him.

      How did Trent ride the Ravens when he started that season and won his own Super Bowl?
      I get that he’s not the best QB and never was a franchise caliber QB, but he played great that season and was one of the reasons they won a Super Bowl.

      @cpk1994 Kiper had Dilfer and Schuler ahead of Faulk. Kiper was mad they didn't take either QB. If the Redskins picked a different player and the Colts picked Schuler, Kiper would have been happy and the Colts would have continued to suck. By the way "idiot" is not a sentence, no punctuation needed.

      coffeeinthemorning I dunno why you guys think he has zero to do with it. Kiper stated the colts should have taken him if he was available. IF HE WAS AVAILABLE. That is completely relevant. The whole passing contest is over Kiper’s knowledge of the game and scouting. 99 out of 100 people would tell you Marshall Faulk was the best pick of the three and the 1 out of 100 was schuler’s mom.

They are allowing him to embarrass himself on national television. Not good.

Dungys teams were trash the first few years he was in Tampa Bay, the same time Dilfer was there. Trent Dilfer as a junior in his final year was the best QB in the country, he was a franchise QB when he had a team around him and his successful years is the evidence. A ton of ppl had him pegged as the second coming, he just went to a bad program initially.

    • @boredom2go
      @boredom2go 5 лет назад

      Meh. A lot of times the NFL success or failure of a QB depends on where he goes. Dilfer went to Tampa Bay, who had been awful for over a decade. He actually managed to go to the Pro Bowl and win a playoff game in '97 after the Bucs added a couple more pieces. I think Manziel is an assclown of the highest order, but I will never disparage a QB who is drafted by the Browns. What Kiper and the rest of the analysts should be doing is going a step deeper and predicting the outcome of these picks based on situation. Kyler Murray may or may not be worthy of the first pick, but he's going into a bad situation in Arizona. He'll have to start this year unless they just sacrifice a season with one of their other nobodies. He'll have to be a miracle-worker not to get destroyed. If he takes too much of that he won't recover. No one does. Then the experts will be coming back in four years calling him a bust. Meanwhile, send him to New England, and he'd be fine.

      @@bnoone2292 Obviously no one hopes to draft busts. Did ya think that Washington drafted Dwayne Haskins just to see him be a bust? Usually it's easy to see what's produced on college football, it's hard to see attitudes and heart. Look at Tom Brady. Round 6 Pick 199? And every other QB before him went buhbye.
