I don't always comment, but this was a truly amazing job. He was constantly in motion, and he came out looking adorable. He is a super cute Yorkshire Terrier. He really is only yellow-pepper spicy. He didn't even bark. He just kept on dancing and playing, "keeping away" with his tiny feet! Another excellent groom. 🐕
We have a 7 year old Yorkie and when we pick her up the groomer looks frazzled. Not because our girl is spicy, but because our Yorkie spends the whole groom trying to kiss the groomer. It's like she's thinking..."let's just be friends and call this whole thing off, you want to?"
He seemed like such a sweetheart...very reactive to many things, most definitely, but he seemed to come to trust you very quickly when you were doing the things that were most important. I mean...he hated the clippers near his legs, but yet he gave in and let you use them on his paw pads in what seemed like a short time. There were a bunch of things that he objected to, but then pretty quickly accepted, once he knew you were not gonna do anything to hurt him. 😁
AND once he saw that his threats weren't working to deter her. My dogs always used similar tactics (more whining and jerking paws away, etc) with me, but they submitted meekly to my daughter. They knew I'd give up, but she would just matter of fact continue on and they'd fold like a house of a cards.
I miss our Tiny Terrors! Yorkies have a lot of spice bc it’s a lot of Terrier to fit in such a small body. They have big personalities & so much love to give. Best 18 yrs of my life was spent with my baby girl. 🐾🥰💕

He’s got the cutest “aggression” ever! Shows his teeth then licks and looks away. It’s like someone just saying grrrr 😂 I tend to favor the larger breeds but this little feller just won me over ❤ So cute!!

Poor guy was super scared the entire time but he was trying to be good. Vanessa staying calm and patient with him definitely helped him from completely freaking out.

My dog is going to her first groomer next month and I am absolutely terrified. She’s such a good pup when I do the stuff, but I have no idea how she will behave with a stranger as she’s also a very anxious little dog 😢

Great name! One of the things I love about Yorkies is the long, flowing hair yet I rarely see them long. I'm guessing that's due to maintenance issues & personality traits.
We rescued an old abandoned teacup Yorkie. It took months & lots of help to get him healthy again. I have bigger, high energy dogs so we found him adopters with 2 other smaller dogs. I had loved his longer silky hair, but they kept him trimmed short & dressed like a punk rocker. It definitely suited his raspy voice & grumpy demeanor. He was seriously loved for his remaining years.
I had a VERY small pekinese/shitzu mix. We kept him pretty long and luxurious like a shitzu. The silky thin hair isn’t actually very difficult to brush through. But their feet and legs get wet in grass. And then pine needles and grass get stuck. But I think Yorkies can suffer from flakey and itchy skin. So keeping their hair dry and pretty is difficult. To moisturize their skin, their hair ends up looking greasy like a human. When their hair is short, you can more easily apply a leave I conditioner or skin oil.
He did ever so well! My 2.5 kg miniYorky hates trimming/shaving so much that she screams as if she is being slaughtered.. Love how you do this work, really really awesome! 👌
Oh my goodness, Turbo's face was so sweet? cute? adorable? after his groom I think I'm in puppy love. I'm sure his owner ignores some of his banana pepper spiciness when he gives her those big eyes.

I have a Yorkie and we keep her in a puppy cut. It's just too much to deal with the long hair.
