Well that was a lot better than I was expecting, looked quite fun but as you say with a rulebook of the times that would of been a huge barrier to me learning. Happy to watch someone else play it and a lot of different things to do that some modern games could learn from.

For a modern take on the same subject, you might look at Compass Games "The Conquistadors: The Spanish Conquest of the Americas - 1518-1548".
Well that was a lot better than I was expecting, looked quite fun but as you say with a rulebook of the times that would of been a huge barrier to me learning. Happy to watch someone else play it and a lot of different things to do that some modern games could learn from.
Although rulebooks were a kind of Books of Solomon back in the day... the game offers fun and excitement. Oldie but goodie....
