With your addition of Green Team Wins to your list.....here's a fun breaking news announcement I'll unveil right here in the comments. If you are looking to play Green Team Wins with your family and friends this holiday season and want something more tailored to the occasion...we have a brand new expansion coming out called Holiday Party! We'll have copies at our Gen Con booth with a retail release a couple months later. - chad

I would say the top 10 games that every gamer should own are Splendor, Catan, Carcassonne, Labyrinth, Ticket to Ride, Quest for El Dorado, Lost Cities, High Society, Pandemic & Patchwork. Its very hard to narrow it down to just 10 but i think these are probably the most accessible and whilst some of these have brought out expansions, they are in no way needed to enjoy the original game.

One of best tempted to put on is NMBR 9 - so easy, so “gotta play one more time”, and there’s no max player count so if everyone owns it and there’s another lockdown you just Zoom with each other and only one deck flips for all households.

    Great video guys! Great list!
Some others... War of the Ring for the Epic, Crokinole for dexterity, Carcassone for tile flipping, Viticulture or Agricola, The Crew, Azul, Sagrada.
When I saw Castles of Burgandy on video I thought it would be too much luck for my taste, but when I played it, I really liked the strategy of choices to mitigate.
I played Green Team Wins with 4 newer board gamers and we had a hillarious time with some of the answers! How about Muster Mustard.
How about a new game store with a rotating lazy susan set in the middle so you can have a table for customers on one side, a table for filming your next game video on the other.
But playing spinning crokinole on a spinning set, maybe too much.

    10. My favourite drafting game but I dont own it.
    9. Agreed. I own the original and Cthulhu.
    8. I haven't played this one.
    7. I have the digital version. I'm happy with it. I'm not excited by the idea of getting the standard version of the game... the deluxe version on the other hand... I can't afford.
    6. Didn't know about this one at all.
    5. Only vaguely aware of... oh wait.... I think that i have played it... thought it was OK, if a bit forgettable...
    4. I guess I should try this one.
    3. Party game? I'm going to have to nope out of this one....
    2. Good choice. I own the standard version (though I have a lot of the other maps in the digital version).
    1. You are wrong! (Don't worry, I have already subscribed)
    ...
    Possibly.
    ...
This is actually one that I really want to try out. It looks fun.
I would put Carcassonne and King of Tokyo on this list.

Project L would be my Polyomino game of choice and also my number one for a list like this I think. It looks great, plays in under half an hour and still feels like you played a meaty game.
I haven't played Green Team Wins, but my party game would probably be Dixit. Great game that really helps you get to know people and their frame of reference a little which is fun.
I didn't like Castles of Burgundy, so my euro game for this list would be Orlèans. I find it the easiest euro to teach new players and it just plays really smoothly.
Small card game would probably be either Silver & Gold, The Crew or Point Salad. I would also throw Celestia on the list somewhere as it is a really fun, simple but thematic push your luck game that works well with 4+ players.

Amen on Patchwork. Taught it more than 200 times when I worked in a board game cafe. Such an excellent game.

Patchwork, nr.1? Just played Junk Drawer. I think I like this one more. It´s almost like blasphemy.

Hi guys. It's 2024, there are tons of cooperative games that are funnier/more engaging than good-old Pandemic.
Same with The Castles of Burgundy: Lots of newer games have implemented dice-worker placement/drafting in such creative ways since 2011.
It's time to give newer games a chance. 😉

Curious to hear what your suggestions are. It's easy to fall behind on all the new games!
