Magnus simply has a great understanding of where all chess players lie in their skill level including his own and he doesn’t let internet hype or people’s opinions sway him from the truth of who is the best at chess and it simply happens to be him that’s the greatest.. and he pity’s other players who simply don’t understand the hierarchy the way he does. Magnus has said for a long time that alireza is a future chess prodigy and here is alireza challenging Magnus on one of the biggest stages in chess and Hans happens to fail just as Magnus predicted. Hans is a great player just not at Magnus level
I have to disagree with Robert. Magnus is not 'in form'. He's nowhere as commited to chess like he was 10 years ago. Yet he still destroys every chess player on the planet with ease.
I wonder if Magnus saying how much Hans has improved was an underhanded way of saying he cheated because he’s saying this is Hans a lot better than he was and he crushed him whereas Hans crushed Magnus twice at the Sinquefield cup and the one where he said chess speaks for itself two years ago
Gotta love the sneaky "he's miles better than 2 years ago", which basically translates to: "he is miles better than when he won against me! (and i just destroyed him)" Gooo Magnus!

The Epic of Magnus and Hans the Hopeless Behold! The realm where pieces clash, Where mighty Magnus, in glory does dash. With pawns like thunder, knights like flame, He laughed as poor Hans tried to play the game. "I am Hans, and I'll take your throne!" He puffed his chest, let out a groan. But Magnus smirked, eyes divine, "Foolish mortal, your skills are benign." Hans pushed a pawn, shaky, unsure, Magnus struck back-his victory pure. "Is this your best?" the god did cry, As Hans’ strategy waved goodbye. The 5+1? Hans was crushed like clay, The 3+1? A fleeting delay. In bullet, oh boy, the tale turns tragic, Hans flailed about, while Magnus worked magic. "You came to win?!" Magnus roared with glee, "Against a god? How blind must you be?" Hans, now humbled, sank into despair, For Magnus’ power was beyond compare. And so it’s told, through all the lands, Magnus reigns, while Hans... just stands. @@gabrielreinalter2269 Okay, but apart from the time issue, Hans is doing quite well. Once he gets out of the pin of his rook , he may be behind by the exchange, but he has lots of compensation: his a-pawn is passed, he has two huge knights, and one of the white rooks is caught behind enemy lines. If his evalutation agrees with what you are saying, he is quite poor at chess, but I do not think this to be the case.
@@tommyrjensenThe pawn on a5 is not a passed pawn yet, yes you can theoretical turn him into a passed pawn but that will take a few moves. The knight on a2 is a huge liability, the only square it really has is b4 where it will block the pawns. The knight on c4 seems promising purely from a theoretical perspective, but white can just play b3 and force it back (d2 is not an option as you run out of squares and will have to give up a pawn by playing (Ne4 then Bxe4 dxe4 and Rxe4). While yes Magnuses rook is trapped right now that can be solved by the b3 move and even after Nb4 Rc7 there simply is no good way to capture magnuses rook. Furthermore if Magnus wants he can just play Qg5 and force a trade of queens after (... Bxg7+ Qxg7 Qxg7+ Kxg7, b3) and then black simply doesn't have any good moves. It has nothing to do with him being poor at chess, Niemann is a very good player, however Magnus is still in a different class of perfection (also note that Nxb2 can be punished by Rc2 leading to one of the knights being captured, as I said the knight on a2 is a liability not an asset )
Well he has to get used to it because Hans nieman is top 16 in the world right now at his all time peak and he is only 21 years old so he will keep improving and will maybe break into the top 10 and as he gets higher rating he will face magnus more

Crazy how few years ago he won Magnus with 100% accuracy with black pieces but now couldn’t even hold the candle against him 😮
It beads me how he did that…
He didn't put his ass-bud properly this time
@@Jivje0is0pr0 someone should analize it deeply

He didn't have 100 percent accuracy in that game. Lie spread by magnut fanboys

The butt sensor is not fast enough.
5:31 Just watch how nervous Hans is!
you didnt watch the ending between Ding and Nepomniachtchi?
@@mralias225that ending is heartbreaking
You can see him vibrating
9:44 he's complaining about the vibrator not working
Magnus simply has a great understanding of where all chess players lie in their skill level including his own and he doesn’t let internet hype or people’s opinions sway him from the truth of who is the best at chess and it simply happens to be him that’s the greatest.. and he pity’s other players who simply don’t understand the hierarchy the way he does. Magnus has said for a long time that alireza is a future chess prodigy and here is alireza challenging Magnus on one of the biggest stages in chess and Hans happens to fail just as Magnus predicted. Hans is a great player just not at Magnus level
Imagine losing to Levy then to think Magnus stands no chance.
Magnus after 20 beers > Nieman on that day
4:32 probably the most insane save of the match, in my opinion
5:04 levy sure progressed 😂 da ROOOOOK!
The chess does speak for itself
what an arrogant dude this hans boy
Nice video, however you may want to check your sound settings: there is an annoying buzz every time it is Niemanns turn…
Magnus slowly gutted The Back Door Plug.
Confidence is good. But over confidence will destroy you.
He wasn’t being overconfident he wasn’t even being cocky he was purposely being a di*k
Magnus Peak > Magnus Normal > Drunk Magnus > Magnus Bad Day > Magnus psychological blah > Hans
Event Magnus who comes in late is better haha

Thank god Magnus has such as good persona - calm professional respectful.
I have to disagree with Robert. Magnus is not 'in form'. He's nowhere as commited to chess like he was 10 years ago. Yet he still destroys every chess player on the planet with ease.

great content and edits, thank you for your pristine and polish way of delivering quick and importnat information of the tournament
great video ! whats the music in last few seconds plz
Absolutely on the money. Magnus is far, far too intelligent and diplomatic for this to be anything but clear when reading between the lines.
it is. and its hilarious
Gotta love the sneaky "he's miles better than 2 years ago", which basically translates to: "he is miles better than when he won against me! (and i just destroyed him)" Gooo Magnus!
2:27 If you listen carefully you can hear the ambulance arriving for Hans.
I know right away after the first 3 games that it's in the bag for Magnus. It's not even close.
Honestly I was hoping to see a big surprise from Hans but his class just isn't there. Even Magnus was bored in this match playing meme openings in the later half.
In Kalevala there is this part where young Joukahainen challenges the GOAT Wäinämöinen to a duel. When Wäinämöinen declines the youngster insults him. Wäinämöinen proceeds then to sing and using his magic to make the swamp swallow Joukahainen.
Have to respect Finnish sagas.
The most devastating thing is that magnus came across as a class act and hans made an ass of himself
Watching Hans lose after talking the way he does is almost therapeutic
You just know Hans went home and cried all night. Magnus is a master and super respectful at that. THE GOATTTT
4:11 that's just bullying 🤣 "Ohh Naaaastyyyyy"
8:14 magnus' chess speaks for itself xDDDDDDDDDDDD
Pretty much the same level as the rivalry between my cat and the vacuum cleaner 😅
"He's miles better than he was 2 years ago"
The only thing came to my mind is "if you multiply 0 by 100 it's still 0"
6:38 "The chess on the board... (didn't speak for itself)" 😭😭 LOLLL
Hans is a bum. Why does anyone care what he does? He's crap compared to Magnus.
It's the new rivalry in 2010's it was Hikaru vs Magnus in the 2020's will be remembered for Hans vs Magnus
Fabulous how Magnus tried some troll stuff and still won, chess speaks for itself!

The Epic of Magnus and Hans the Hopeless
Behold! The realm where pieces clash,
Where mighty Magnus, in glory does dash.
With pawns like thunder, knights like flame,
He laughed as poor Hans tried to play the game.
"I am Hans, and I'll take your throne!"
He puffed his chest, let out a groan.
But Magnus smirked, eyes divine,
"Foolish mortal, your skills are benign."
Hans pushed a pawn, shaky, unsure,
Magnus struck back-his victory pure.
"Is this your best?" the god did cry,
As Hans’ strategy waved goodbye.
The 5+1? Hans was crushed like clay,
The 3+1? A fleeting delay.
In bullet, oh boy, the tale turns tragic,
Hans flailed about, while Magnus worked magic.
"You came to win?!" Magnus roared with glee,
"Against a god? How blind must you be?"
Hans, now humbled, sank into despair,
For Magnus’ power was beyond compare.
And so it’s told, through all the lands,
Magnus reigns, while Hans... just stands.
In the world of chess, there’s but one divine,
And Hans? Well, he's just killing time.
Cringe
Hans, is not aware of how dumb he his.
Hans thinks he’s the protagonist in his incel brain 😂
He thinks he is inspiring people. I am still laughing about that.
Bro is literally 16th in the world though
I think Alireza and hans are going to be the future mangus and hikaru , considering they are both 21 and still have lots to go

Destroyed? Hans did better than most other top GMs.
Hans in insufferable to listen to. Good riddance.
What happens at 2:04 - Magnus is thinking, and suddenly Hans resigns out of turn??
You can resign on an opponents turn when you realize you can’t save the game
@@IAyala1010 In that case it would be nice to get an explanation of whether Hans "realized" something false or true, and how.
@@tommyrjensenHe is completely utterly and hopelessly lost. He has no time, is down pieces and doesn't even have any way to attack Magnus and get back in the game. He should have resigned a few moves ago and as Magnus is "thinking" he has time to make peace with that truth
It has nothing to do with him being poor at chess, Niemann is a very good player, however Magnus is still in a different class of perfection
(also note that Nxb2 can be punished by Rc2 leading to one of the knights being captured, as I said the knight on a2 is a liability not an asset )
Levy telling Magnus directly that Hans was his "villain" and Magnus not blinking or denying it.
what do the points mean next to the playernames?
Lol...magnus says, " even though it's a matchup i certainly didn't want..." 🤣
Well he has to get used to it because Hans nieman is top 16 in the world right now at his all time peak and he is only 21 years old so he will keep improving and will maybe break into the top 10 and as he gets higher rating he will face magnus more
9:05 levi setting the white balance
Well if there was a prize for 'Most Unlikable Person' Hans would win that at least
What date did this match occur?
What rivalry?
8:40 wow amazing voice 😂
It seems to me that Niemann's personality is so underdeveloped, problematic, and dysfunctional that it raises serious questions about his upbringing-perhaps his parents should be investigated.
Weird way of saying magnus, imagine losing to a kid with the black pieces and then getting salty and accuse of him of cheating because you are a sore loser and a narcissist
Hans is nice
He has given away tens of thousands to charity and overall given way more attention to Chess while bouldering an undeserved amount of hate. How much money did you give away to charity? Let's investigate your parents.
